About two weeks ago, I was lugging a bag of mulch down the garden steps, and twisted my foot. Not my ankle. I went inside and soaked my foot in ice water. Decided, after googling, that it was probably a midfoot sprain. No biggie. Did red light therapy, sauna blanket, borrowed crutches and a boot. But friends and relatives kept nagging me to get an x-ray. I finally decided that I probably should. Called one sports medicine place on Timberline, left a message, and they NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Called Elite, spoke with Dr. Brown, and got an appointment for the next day!! Dr. Brown is wonderful! Very jolly, also extremely competent. The x-ray revealed an avulsion fracture, exactly what my aunt Nancy and my friend Brian thought. Sadly, I had no prizes to award, as I was hoping it would be a tendon or ligament sprain. Dr. Brown told me to take Calcium and vitamin D3, and suggested two more x-rays. He also gave me a flyer for a knee scooter, but alas it is self-propelled and therefore will not go 30 mph. Very disappointing. I was excited about the "All-terrain" model. I'm very happy that I found this podiatrist office. I really didn't went to go, but I'm not an idiot and needed to be able to tell my mother why I am wearing a boot. I was hoping to be able to wear shoes in NY, but that's not happening. On the plus side, I can bring twice as many, since I can only wear one :D If you need a podiatrist, I recommend Dr. Brown wholeheartedly. read more

Probably the worst business I have interacted with in the last few years. During the initial appoint the docotor forgets to document an important lift on my orthotic. She has to be reminded. The front desk proceeds to lose my old pair of orthotics that was to be refurbished. The business offers to replace the lost pair. When the replacement pair is finally made weeks later, the lift is on the wrong side. Finally, when I try to go pick up the fixed pair no one is at the office 15 minutes after the lunch hour. I have to return on a second trip the following day and call ahead to make sure someone will be there. Start to finish it was over a year to get a simple pair of orthotics! I would not recommend using this business. Shoot, the signs on the front door alone are super confusing. Half the time clients walk into the spa next door!! Looks elsewhere for services! read more

I recently came here to take care of an ingrown toenail (gross- I know). I was pretty nervous about this and put if off for as long as possible. Dr. Simmons was very knowledgeable and put me at ease. They were able to take care of my toe that day and it only took about half an hour. I took away one star just due to some confusion around my follow up appointment. I received a card with my next appointment time written as 3:15. When I got there they told me it was actually 2:45 and I had missed it. I, unfortunately didn't bring that card with me but when I got home and took a look at it on my fridge it did clearly say 3:15. I understand these things happen but it meant I had to schedule another time and come back again. read more

If you are looking for a foot doctor, it can be hard to find one without a recommendation. I found Dr. Chad Simmons via positive online reviews and I can say that he has lived up to every one of them. My issue is that I have heel spurs (Haglund's Deformity) in each foot and he was able to make recommendations that addressed the issue. My problems were advanced too far along for conservative treatment to work and we decided that surgery would be the answer. He completed the surgery at Sky Ridge Medical Center and he removed and reattached my Achilles and re-shaped my heel. He met with me first to explain exactly what he planned to do, verified with an MRI and executed it seemingly perfectly. After I had a fall soon after surgery and landed on my operated foot, he dropped everything to see me. He will soon do the same thing to my other foot and I have complete confidence in him. I can verify this for anyone looking for a good podiatrist: 1) His overall communication is exceptional. 2) His ability to provide amazing customer service is exceptional. 3) The surgery seemingly went perfectly, I am in less pain than I ever expected and I have not taken much in the way of pain killers. His skill set seems to be exceptional. He deals in all issues relating to the feet and ankles and Dr. Simmons and his staff truly will be what you are looking for. I went to this foot doctor because I moved to Thornton and my other doctor is clear and Cherry Creek and they're very expensive he had taken care of my foot for years and it is just a mess he was a good doctor and I liked him and he helped me a lot but my foot wasn't getting any better I went to elite and this lady doctor is amazing...not only does she discuss everything with me concerning my foot and scars and the bones she did an x-ray and notice a spot and immediately and I mean immediately sent me for MRI the spot was calcium deposit but she found a tear in my planter plate and put me in a boot on my post appointment I am very thankful for this doctor and I am hopeful that my feet are going to be happy finally thank you elite you are so appreciated doctor... read more

Dr. Simmons is very knowledgeable, down to earth and highly skilled. He was enthusiastically recommended to me from a colleague and I am very happy that I made the 1+ hour drive down from Loveland to meet him and discuss my options. I went to see Dr Simmons after a running injury. I had acute plantar fasciitis and was limping badly. Dr Simmons greatly alleviated the pain during my first visit and I was back to running in less than three weeks. I looked online, read the Yelp reviews and called, the receptionist was very friendly & I was able to obtain an appt in a few days. They also take Medicare, a plus! The receptionist/office manager takes your X-rays, medical history & billing info, very versatile and pleasant. Dr Simmons listened to my issues, gave me options and even though he is a surgeon, he suggested conservative treatment first. Great place. Great care. I give 4 stars only because while in waiting room one of receptionists was complaining about patients. I get that sometimes customers can be rude or weird, but they may be stressed or have things going on in their lives that a 20 something receptionist doesn't understand. Bottom line is she reflected badly on the practice by talking in a less than compassionate way about patients in front of other patients. Keep those conversations in the break room. read more

I had two ingrown toenails for years, and I was terrified of the procedure. I have worked in a family practice and have seen and heard grown men scream in pain and terror during this procedure (hence why I dealt with this pain for years). However, I bit the bullet and decided to get these taken care of once and for all. I had requested a visit online on a Sunday and that Monday I was called back bright and early to set up my appointment. I had the option of coming in that day or the day after. I opted for two days out and I was put at ease by the wonderful receptionist/assistant Nicole (I certainly hope I spelled her name correctly). She kept me at ease from the moment she called me to the moment she injected my toes with medicine. She calmed my fears and talked to me throughout the entire time of injecting me, which was a tremendous help. To my surprise, it honestly was not as bad as I had anticipated. I felt nothing when the doctor came in and did his part. My toes healed just fine and I am so happy to have gone to Elite Foot & Ankle Center. The post op instructions were easy to follow and all my questions were answered. Granted having ingrown toenails removed is not like a foot massage, it hurts. Which makes sense because they are injecting medicine into a small area and that medicine is trying to spread and get the heck out of Dodge (think Tetanus shot in your toe kind of pain). Despite the obvious discomfort involved, I will say it was not that bad and I am happy I chose to go here to have it taken care of! This place is great!!! read more

I had an appointment on the 3rd week of January. I've been very disappointed since I got there. The assistant sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and never apologized. The doctor talked with me about 5 minutes and did not explain well to me about my pain, and he only gave me a prescription for the pain and a few pads, telling me that if I have still pain I can call him. I called him the next week, and the assistant told me that he wasn't there. Then, I called him next day, and the assistant told me that he left early and did not have time to return my call. I told the assistant that I have a lot pain and I needed to talk with the doctor about the pain and that he can call me, but, to this day, neither he nor the assistant have returned my call. read more

Dr. Simmons was very knowledgeable, and I think he was able to quickly diagnose my foot issue. He prescribed a specific type of pad on the bottom of my foot for the next few weeks. The pad actually made it much less painful to walk out of the office. He also took the time to give me a lot of other foot advice, which is welcomed and highly unusual in today's standard 5 minute visits! Two other things stood out to me. Dr. Simmons offered (without asking) to waive the cost of the x-rays since I had x-rays done the day before. Thank you! Also, he informed that I should only keep my appointment for 3 weeks later if my pain persists. I have gone to 2 appointments with Dr. Simmons. He is a nice guy and talked through my foot pain issues during the first visit. He prescribed a pain medication and started small by trying pads and support to take the pressure off the front of my foot. I appreciated the approach, but called about a week after to speak with him about my pain levels and how things were not improving. I never received a call back and when I called again, I decided to just make another appointment. During my second appointment he gave me a cortisone shot between my toes to try and help with the swelling and shooting pain to my toes (he called it Morton's Nueroma). The following 4 days have been more painful than before the shot and I have left 3 messages with the receptionist over the last 3 days and asked to speak with him about what has been going on. I am pretty patient, but poor customer service is a pet peeve of mine especially when it's related to my health/well-being. I would have rated zero stars if I could have because of the lack of professionalism from his office. I'm looking for another doctor. Still haven't had any return calls or check-ins to see how I'm doing. Don't waste your money. read more

I had never been to a podiatrist before today. My family physician highly recommended him, and she couldn't have given me a better referral. Dr. Simmons is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I greatly appreciate that he presented me with various treatment options, but that as a surgeon he also chose to pursue conservative treatment as the first method rather than immediately wanting to perform surgery. I had read all sorts of info (or mis-information) on the Internet and figured I'd just have to live with the pain. I suffered from severe heel pain for over 6 months, and Dr. Chad cured my pain in a matter of just a week! My primary care doc had previously diagnosed me with Plantar Fasciitis and gave me an exercise prescription for what I needed to do to fix my heel pain. I tried everything, all the exercises, stretching, ice therapy, splints, you name it with NO results at all. Just every now and then some relief (for no apparent reason) in the middle of the day. I went to see Dr. Chad and he did an x-ray, looked me over, and within 5 minutes told me that my problem was NOT PF at all! He treated me right there in his office the same day and then a follow up two weeks later to see how I was doing, and now I am pain free after 6 months of misery because of Dr. Chad! It was such a debilitating problem and Dr. Chad truly gave me my life back. I only wish I had seen him MUCH sooner than I did, if you have ANY foot or ankle problem at all ... don't hesitate, see him today!
