First of all, foot pain SUCKS! It can ruin my day and make me not want to move, and as an athlete & instructor that's not a good option! I would not recommend Dr. Benjamin's office ever. She took a sample of what she thought was fungus from under my toe and sent that to a lab called nova labs which her office uses frequently. I got a bill for $3419.97. This amount is ridiculous for a lab test when I called the doctors office I was told I don't need to pay it to nova and check nor the bill. I asked if I could please get that in writing and I was told no they would not do that but not to worry about that bill is never has anyone gone to collection. Her sister said that she had done all she could for me was hanging up and they would continue to use this company as none of their other patients were taken to collection I don't just take someone else's word that my credit will not be affected by not paying this bill! My insurance paid all but 700.00 It's no wonder our insurance rates are sky high. This is a total rip off!!! read more

In March this year, I woke up unable to put any weight on my foot. I'd had a niggly pain for a few weeks, but tend to ignore those. BTW - Don't ignore your foot pain :) A google search found me Dr Benjamin's office. She was fully booked that day, but when the receptionist heard that I was unable to walk, said that I could come in and that they would work me in in between appointments. ALL of the staff were incredibly kind, compassionate and 'real'. The office atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and Dr Benjamin is professional, compassionate and has a human touch. After 6 weeks in a boot and 3 appointments with Dr Benjamin and team, I was back on my feet and fighting fit. Dr. Benjamin is excellent! I met with her regarding some weird foot/knee/back pain, after getting suggestions from some friends that it could all be related. Dr. Benjamin took a look at my feet, which honestly have received some abuse from 12 years of dancing en pointe as a ballerina, and my love for high high high heeled shoes (and large bags!) Though she admonished me on the heels, she also acknowledged that the reason I liked them was because of my feet and their development (abuse) from ballet. The high arch got supported by my higher heels, and flats tended to cause pronation, cramping in the toes, and knee/hip stress. When she said "Orthotics!" I died. I thought we were talking orthopedic type shoes! But no, these are easy to wear, white cast pieces that slip into 90% of my shoes - even closed high heels. My knee and hip pain was GREATLY reduced, and my chiro noticed the difference in my gait. Finally, if this isn't a stellar example of what she can do, I don't know what is: I used to be a terrible bowler, because no matter what I tried, despite being *quite* aware of my extensions and position, I could never roll the ball straight and fast. This past weekend, I finally wore my orthotics in the flat, ugly, rental bowling shoes. I am not kidding - my game increased by 80 points, including several strikes and spares. Go see her! She's sweet, funny, and charming, and quick about getting you taken care of!!! Your feet will thank you!! read more

Had very bad pain caused by plantar fasciitis, called the office of Dr. Benjamin and they were able to work me in since I was a new patient. When I got there, all the staff was very nice and friendly. Dr. Benjamin was very sweet and compassionate about my pain, she explained to me my options and gave me a cortisone shot. Ordered some new insoles that I needed to replace. She was great, my pain was really bad, but she helped me. I am doing much better and I will go to pick up my custom insoles this week. read more

I was having such awful foot and ankle pain, and Dr. Benjamin got me in right away. She wrapped my foot in a special way to alleviate the pain (it felt SO good), and prescribed a special cream for me. She ordered orthotics, gave me exercises, sent me for further physical therapy, and today I can hike, walk, and run with barely a twinge! And office visits are so much fun, too. I was in pain and very much needed orthotics. On around July 1, made an appt. with Dr. Benjamin for July 13th. I filled out their forms on the computer, to make them easy to read for her, and emailed them. As I was leaving for the appt., I got a call. Her receptionist said they didn't have the program to read them. (It lets Macs and Microsoft computers share documents.)  She said that the app costs $19 and they had elected not to buy it. I emailed the app to FedEx and ran over to have it printed.  I emailed it, and called the office. I was told I was too late for the appt.  I was given an appt. 2 weeks later, around August 1.  So, it was taking a month to have an initial appointment. On August 1, saw the doctor.  She touched my toes and spent about 5 minutes with me. I was told they would apply for my insurance, and then I would get a second appt. to measure for the orthotics. Two more weeks went by.  The receptionist called.  She had not submitted anything regarding the insurance.  She had a question regarding it.  I googled the question, and found the answer in less than a minute. Two weeks later, around September 1st, another call.  I now had an appt. for 2 weeks later, around Sept. 15, to create the molds. Ten weeks had gone by. In pain this entire 10 weeks, I now felt so awful about the entire interaction with the office that I cancelled the appt.  It would have been 3 months when I would have finally had the casting done. Not the orthotics, but the castings for them. Later, I got a call from my insurance carrier.  That 5 minutes with the doctor was billed for over $200.00. read more

I love Dr. Benjamin- she is caring, compassionate, funny and just a lovely person. I have terrible foot/ankle issues- after going to a horrible podiatrist for an opinion, I went to Dr. Benjamin- she listened and helped me understand what was going on with my feet. I had an MRI that revealed extensive issues, esp with my right foot and ankle. She immediately referred me to a surgeon, Dr. Ng, (who is also wonderful). I am now recovering from surgery, and have new orthotics to help the left foot. I would recommend her to anyone- as well as Dr. Ng if foot/ankle surgery is needed. I chose Sarah Benjamin after reading the reviews on Yelp. I was very disappointed. First of all unbeknownst to me, I would be charged a new patient charge of $200.00 as well as a charge of $175.00 to put an acid on a plantar's wart. The first visit went ok. The second visit not so much. She was scraping my son's wart with a dull scalpel. He was screaming in pain and she told him "Dude" calm down. She finally realized she was trying to scrape with a dull scalpel and replaced it. After 2 visits there was no progress. The whole experience from the office, to the office lady, to the doctor has a lot left to be desired. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. The receptionist and nurses are rude and inconsiderate. They treat patients as if we are all idiots and have absolutely zero compassion or patience. My family is treated by many doctors in many different specialties and this is the worst experience we have ever had! We were literally told that the doctor would not treat us unless we were willing to wait several hours with no guarantee of being seen.
