This salon has charged 257 For whatever she wanted to do to my hair, she did not do anything like I asked and requested she swore she knew what she was doing. Her Lauren Frederic is the absolute worst and just way overcharging and for absolutely no work. Literally all she did to my hair was touched up my roots and make it blend out when she was supposed to cut color highlight low light, but she chose to do what she thought would look better instead of what I wanted nor does she give me a decent haircut she never gave me a haircut. And still tries to hurry up and take the money out of my account before I could even say anything she tries to take the whole amount out of my account, but my card was locked so if you wanna get screwed over and pay a ton of money for a sloppy disgrace unprofessional, just all way around money, hungry and don't want to do the work that is required of them to do, but they want the money! So I paid her and I will let the whole world know. I travel full time and finding a salon in different cities isn't always easy. I did a Yelp search when I was in Youngsville, LA and came across Color Bar Salon. I scheduled a consultation with Sarah and found her to be very informative. I did book with her and she did a fantastic job! The entire staff is friendly for sure. I had an appointment with Madison Bernard for a dark balayage. The process took 4 hours . She bleached my entire head and used a toner. The results at the salon looked good. I washed my hair 2 times with the recommend products. On day 10 all of the color was completely gone, my hair was breaking and falling off not to mention all of my hair was now orange. I messaged Madison to see what happened. She initially agreed that the color should not have washed out that quickly then changed her story saying that my hair was *wrong* for what I wanted to do even though she happily took $240 from me to get it done for it to literally be washed down the drain. She blamed my hair instead of taking accountability for her terrible quality of work. I asked her to fix my hair and she told me she would fix it for $150. An additional $150 to correct her work that didn't even last 2 weeks. After multiple messages to the owner I got a call saying Madison could put a gloss over my hair. At this point I already had to completely redye my hair by myself to cover the orange. I was told I had go to a consultation when it was convenient I mentioned several dates but the salon was *fully booked* and would not be able to see me , that I would have to call and reschedule. Hundreds of $$ wasted and now I'm stuck trying to fix all the damage to my hair. I would strongly advise against going here however if you do go to color bar, I would advise seeing a seasoned hairdresser not someone freshly in the business who doesn't actually know how to do hair. read more

Love it!!! New to town and you know that it's not home until you find your salon and stylist. I am so happy to share that the Color Bar and Kali in particular are amazing! This salon truly cares about doing the right thing for their clients and their hair. First, you have a consultation to find out what you want and what they can do (I love that they set realistic expectations). Kali gave me honest feedback on what I can do improve the quality of my hair and I'm so grateful. I have to say, I was really impressed with what Kali was able to do. I was scheduled what she called a "Consultation" but it was REALLY "VETTING" of me to find out if I could "AFFORD" to have my hair done by her; asking questions like "What is your Lifestyle?", "Where do you work, and how much money do you make?", "How often do you get your hair 'Professionally' done?" (etc)........ The haircut she FINALLY GAVE ME was ABYSMAL....I have had MUCH BETTER CUTS from a "Generic" hair-cut place!!!!I I FOOLISHLY ASSUMED that because she worked at what I considered a great "Salon" she would be a Talented and Professional Stylist.... This salon is amazing! My stylist is Jacqueline and she was fantastic! I went in for a consultation I asked a million questions while I was there because I was cutting my hair short and was doing a vivid color. I showed her photos of what I was looking for and she delivered exactly what I wanted. She told me exactly how the process was going to go how long it was going to take and let me know How everything was going to turn out. She is by far the best stylist I've ever been to. I've gotten so many compliments on this style and color, it's wonderful. The salon and other stylist were also really amazing. It was an extremely fun and welcoming environment. They offer several types of beverages including some wine or beer if wanted those types of drinks as well. I would recommend this salon to anyone who has ever had a bad color job Who needs it corrected or someone who just wants a really amazing hairstylist. read more

I must say being new to the area I was a little nervous using a new stylist. However I believe the owner Laura was really exceptional. She cut my hair perfectly, took her time and paid attention to every detail. The end result was an amazing haircut and style. I will definitely be back in the future. My hair looks great even if I just wash it and let it dry naturally, a sign of an exceptional haircut. Laura is pretty cool lady too. The hairstylists know what they're doing and are more than willing to work with you if you're unhappy with something, and are always trying to provide you with the best possible experience. Amber especially is an exceptional colorist! She has vast knowledge of color formulae and the scientific aspects of it. The other ladies at work are just as talented but she is my favorite! Sully at the color bar is amazing! She is very knowledgeable about coloring hair, and made me feel like I was in good hands. She was able to do a color correction on my blonde that was absolutely beautiful. The services are a bit in the pricey side, but in my opinion worth it. DO NOT GO TO LAUREN WAGUESPACK AT THE COLOR BAR!!!! She will dye your hair and it will look great for about 2 days then your hair will turn a totally different color! I called her to see if she could fix it for me and she said I would have to pay again. She then proceeded to laugh at me for even asking for some kind of refund or for her to fix HER mistake for free!!! My hair was a beautiful red/brown color and it's now a blondish color with no hint of red in it. She told me that it was permanent. I don't think 2 days is permanent!! read more
