Per my insurance company, it is on the same tab in Availity - Providers- TriWest; when you submit the referrals (as the provider). Only a referral was made and PT requires both. So now it still needs to be submitted but now they are saying my PCP needs to. This was the same way in east region (now west for Texas) so I don't know why this is like a new thing to them with authorizations. They worked me into rehab in the meantime which is nice; when I called they wouldn't do that without charging me per visit out of pocket. He assured me it would be quite simple to repair an in and out process and it was. Recovery was a bit quicker and again, pain free (except for a few days here and there. About a year ago my left knee was hurting--Dr. Myles did arthroscopic surgery and that knee is just about good as new (considering I am 69 years old, that is an accomplishment). I have looked into legal matter for this and you are correct it was about 10 years ago so whatever reason why he stopped. Is probably best since he doesn't know what he's doing!
