The fences are low so if your ball goes out, you have to run into the parking lot to chase. Often times the ball will go in the street, etc. if they would have paid for 10ft fences that surrounded the courts, with netting, this would not be an issue. The next thing is the lights, if you play when it's dark the lighting is poor which makes it hard to see the ball in some areas of the courts. The final challenge is the wind, it's always windy at this facility. I guess with it being outdoor surrounded by building, no proper tennis or pickleball fencing, your balls go all over. So unless you're a power player and this doesn't matter, it makes game play not as fun. The facility inside is just kinda of an open concrete space with outdoor furniture, it's not really maintained or a spot to chill. You can never just book a court or easily get some play going because they only have 6 courts. For me, it's just not my spot and would not recommend

They have some shaded seating and open seating. None of the courts are covered/shaded. There is parking but I could see it getting full. They have bathrooms but I didn't check them out myself. FYI when you're coming in it'll look a bit warehouse-y but just keep driving back lol

The parking lot has a bit of a deep dip in the middle... I do hope that can be fixed in the future. Once you walk onto the premises, you feel like you're at an island villa. They played some great EDM music while we were there. Rackets were very affordable to rent for our lesson. The pickleball and Padel courts are well-maintained and look beautiful! The instructor and owner, Alan, had a very positive and welcoming attitude when we first met him. You could immediately tell how passionate he was about introducing Padel to the Houston community. Our lesson involved doing forehand, backhand, serve, and off-the-wall drills using a ball machine. Alan did a great job of explaining the proper form and techniques. He made it very easy for me to understand the fundamentals. His reassuring words and constructive feedback made me very enthusiastic to continue with the drills. After the drills, we got to do a practice game which was lots of fun! Afterwards, we were treated to a complimentary Gatorade which I was in dire need of as it was quite hot outside! I had such a fun time learning this sport and I would love to come back with my friends to show them how fun Padel is! Shoutout to Alan for being such an amazing instructor.

I recently attended a soccer tournament at this location. The tournament went very smoothly. The…read moresoccer field is in good shape and the kids had a great time playing on it. It's a turf field with a blue color, rather than the usual green. They have a bar onsite, which is great for the parents. :) The referee we had was pretty good and had a good attitude. The teams that participated in the tournament were predominantly Latino, and none of us experienced any of the issues talked about in other reviews. They also have two sand volleyball fields. They let the kids play on them after the game, that was nice. They played some good tunes there as well. Also, there are plenty of comfy chairs and picnic tables for everyone to use. At first, I was worried about parking. The parking lot is relatively small, but as it turns out, you can park on the street nearby. So, parking was not an issue during the tournament. Moreover, there are some really good places to eat nearby. Try the Rodeo Goat if you fancy gourmet burgers! I do have one recommendation for the field owners. The soccer field has metal posts that hold up the nets that surround the field. The posts are not padded. My kid almost ran into one. It would not have been good if he did. I would recommend to the field owners to pad them for safety. Overall, it was a fun place with a good ambience and a nice view of Downtown. We will be returning to play other tournaments.

Since the slot was in this sort of increment, you get your best value by coming right at 3:00. I pulled my calf muscle in one of the games and they had ice for me. That was nice. Thank you! There is an area for kids, sort of, but not much to do. It's just an open space that's the size of half a court. It has a few crane machines and chairs to lounge on. I recommend them adding a small play set or bounce house for kids. The parents can then set them loose and have fun. Will definitely be coming back!

Great for kids and crowds and those who aren't there for pickleball. The courts themselves are pretty standard but there aren't any court dividers, easily having your neighbors balls interrupt your game. Still the courts are very nice. I used the Court Reserve app to register for a spot on open courts. I paid and got my receipt via email but to my surprise, when I checked-in in the morning, the dude said I didn't pay yet. I showed him my receipt via email and let me through. Perhaps this is a problem that hasn't been ironed out yet, and non of my friends had the same problem. I'm glad the guy was gracious and polite about it, but it came as a hiccup that shouldn't have been. If you're super serious about pickleball and care about DUPR and ratings, this place isn't for you. However if you're in it for a good time with friends, with easy access to alcohol and other fun things. This is a nice place to spend a few hours. Pricing is $8 at the time we went, lets hope they're able to keep it up.

This play space is the best for toddlers in the city and it shows. Customers come from all over the city to enjoy the space With their toddlers. I have met many other parents that have become friends here. Everyone is there for the right reason: their children. It creates an air of subtle community immediately that Happy Beans facilitates so well. It's just a wonderful space that I love being, not just my child.
