Spicy chicken sandwich

This place has my vote! The restaurant was quite large, with a lot of lively events going on both in the restaurant and at the surrounding outdoor activities, like pickleball. For food, my girlfriend and I split firecracker shrimp and the chicken sandwich during restaurant week and WOW was it delicious! The chicken was crispy and spicy, and the portions were massive for the price. Finally, our staff was wonderful. Very attentive and prompt to refill drinks, as well as continuous check-ins and quick to bring the check when we were finished. We will be back!

My Fiance and I were staying in Houston just outside the IAH airport for 1 night before headed to gavelston for a cruise and really didn't want to have to worry about going directly into downtown so we found this place. Actual hidden gem and will be back. Food: 10/10- highly recommend the firecracker shrimp if you like spicy / hot food. Service : 10/10. Attentive, friendly, and easy to talk to Ambiance: 10/10 SUCH a fun ambiance. They have pickleball, bags, a golf course and separate golf range, ping pong, and a huge tv outside to watch games with a bunch of chairs set up, etc. location: 8/10 - we personally LOVED the location but I only gave it an 8 because it's in kinda a run down area until you arrive. Also if you want to go into downtown , don't go here but if you are okay being a little outside the downtown and want a gorgeous view of the DT, this place is for you. Plenty of parking too. About 20 minutes from IAH airport and maybe 10 from Downtown Houston

Ok. Here goes. The place is beautiful. Huge open space. Lots of open air patio. Golf green and pickle ball. Awesome establishment. But the atmosphere sucked. The service was horrible. The hostess was to busy on her phone to acknowledge people, the bar tender lacked any if all hospitality manners and my food was a total lack luster. I was hoping for a good review but I was wrong. Sorry but I will pass next time. Till we eat again

Riverhouse Houston is the first eatery to open along the new East River development. For me, our first experience on a slow day was a-ok. Nothing too amazing, but we know they just opened and there's plenty of room for improvement. We started with chips and queso; queso was room temp and wasn't the best. Thankfully, when my pipin' hot fries arrived, along with a turkey sandwich and the beau's premium street tacos (steak), the fries paired nicely with the queso. And let me say, the serving dish that the fries came in kept those fries hot and crispy our entire lunch. Like, boyfriend kept trying to steal my fries. #rude The place is incredibly spacious and has all the outdoor seating you'd appreciate on a beautiful Houston day. Take advantage of the patio while you can before hot as Hades htown summer. Aside from the room temp queso, $18 "street tacos," and ok sandwich, another area they have room for improvement is the menu. There aren't any vegan options; just about everything has meat or cheese/dairy. Even a few sides that are just vegetables (like charred brussels sprouts, roasted carrots, etc) would be nice. Live music is from 5 - 7 PM every Saturday. Also onsite is the East River 9: nine-hole, par-3 golf course, driving range, pickleball courts; Book tea times or pickleball court directly through their website.

This place was very nice, open and spacious. My server was excellent and offered great advice. This place sits back from the main road, which provides an excellent atmosphere. My lunch consisted of gumbo and half a sandwich. Everything was excellent and I would recommend this place for a meal or golf.

New spot alert! Stopped by for their soft opening just in time for game 1 of the 2022 World Series (Go Astros!). Located in East River, River House is a open concept indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant located by East River 9 (a 9 hole, par 3 golf course). I ordered a margarita and some wings. Wings are huge, great flavor, the drawback was they were a little underdone. Drinks were well made. Definitely will return and add more to my review!

Come here to play Pickleball and often eat afterward. Their food menu hasn't changed much but their recipes definitely have. The fries come in smaller portion size now and the spicy hot bird looked a lot different. It was still good but posting this new photo for comparison!

Listen...this is a nice new spot in the community I grew up in!!! My friend had her birthday brunch here and I'm hooked to it. I have already told my Sassy Squad (6 friends since high school) that we will be having a brunch here soon. It is only about 8 minutes from my job, so I've added this to my lunch list. Everyone had something different and I heard so many positive sayings from the group such as: "this is so good", "I'm ready to try something else" , "I can't wait to come back", "I'm going to celebrate my birthday here." They have various places to sit. Inside, outside patio, open tables outside, two laid-back chairs with a small table in the middle near the golf course and a square gazebo where you can see Downtown. Great new spot in 5th Ward!!!

Had an opportunity to checkout Riverhouse / East River 9. Pretty cool concept in a developing side of Houston, TX. You have the restaurant part which is Riverhouse. Tacos are OK. But the chicken wings are huge and have great flavor. Can't go wrong with the buffaloe sauce. A bit on the pricey side as one canned beer was already $6. And bottled water was $4. Like the golf part of East River 9. You can play 9 holes during the day or even at night. They have lights that light up the whole course to play. Only thing that sucks, is you have to carry your bags and walk the whole course. So be ready for a workout!

We ate here for the first time today after playing the par 3 and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! I wasn't expecting much for a restaurant at a par 3 and pickleball place but I'm glad we decided to eat there after all. Chips and queso, fajita and shrimp tacos were all good so I really don't think you can go wrong with anything here!

Bacon Omelette / Spinach Omelette / Pancakes / Deluxe Queso

Tanner the server was very polite, is something to highlight. But this place's huge potential with the great view, decoration and space is being wasted. Service needs to improve, once we got into the dining area of the club, we stood up there unattended for around 5min, clearly looking disoriented as is not obvious what to do or where to go once you get in. There were like 6 people at a stand at the left of the entrance, but still no one did the minimum gesture to welcome us and explain the dynamics. It wasn't until we approached and ask that we were told who the hostess was and she ask us how many for the party and found a table for us. Omelettes were really bad, they felt and looked saggy, you could sense the lack of love in preparation... for that quality of food is definitely overpriced and on top of that for a very little proportion, flavor wise food was also underwhelming, unsure if the quality of the buffet food is better. But everything we had (omelletes, potato sides, pancakes) was very bad and to fortget. Maybe the queso was decent, but other than that would not recommend having breakfast here. Not sure if coming back, I mean at least burgers and sandwiches seem to be on a better tier of quality. I insist, the place looks awesome, views are great and ambience rocks. But food and staff need motivation and love. Hopefully someone in management that cares about this place will read this and do something about it.

All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Appetizer: everyone talks about the dilly bread but honestly, the puff puff pass sounded better, esp the scotch bonnet aioli. 10/10 loved the flavors together, esp the fried bread with the aioli Entrees: we had the pork belly special and the nono's pasta. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. New lamb dish is delish, meat is juicy 4. Gelato trio nice to end in a refreshing cool note 5. Filled beignets always wins especially when there is strawberry filling 6. Carajillo yummy Areas to improve 1. Leeks appetizer was a huge disappointment- not that tasty and had a big gob of dressing on the side 2.
