As painting specialists, they understood that preparation is 90 percent of the job. Preparation was the main task with a deck as old and tired as ours. First, they power-washed the entire deck, including the 6'x6' support posts (9ft high) and sub-structure, removing mildew, mold, and caked-on dirt. The deck platform, rim joists, ledger board, and decking were scraped, sanded, and patched with filler. The railing posts, railings, balusters, stair risers, and treads were prepped thoroughly, including the cap rail, which was particularly weathered. After reinspection, they came in with a revised bid that was more than 12K higher. They went from $24,975 to $37, 200 (a 50% increase)!!! I called them on the excessive and dishonest bid and they said they would discount by $5,000. I said, no thanks. You cannot be trusted. I ultimately hired another service that bid $12, 415 and they did a fantastic job. So while I don't always choose the lower bid, this time it was the right choice. I would not trust Angels Painting.

The entire project team was great to work with, very responsive and highly organized. We really liked the project management app and 3D design software they used. Before bringing in the Core team my husband and I struggled with making decisions around the final design. However once we brought in Corey's team, they helped with determining the design elements and provided great guidance & suggestions that made the decision process much easier. The Core team was very flexible and happy to work with the company installing our AV system so all the design planning and scheduling was aligned.
