An Angels painter representative came by my Weston, MA home, inspected the house and gave an estimate. And while the estimate was more than 10K higher than another estimate, I made the wrong decision to go with Angels. After telling them I would use them, they said they needed to take another look. After reinspection, they came in with a revised bid that was more than 12K higher. They went from $24,975 to $37, 200 (a 50% increase)!!! I called them on the excessive and dishonest bid and they said they would discount by $5,000. I said, no thanks. You cannot be trusted. I ultimately hired another service that bid $12, 415 and they did a fantastic job. So while I don't always choose the lower bid, this time it was the right choice. We called Angel to paint our living room which had some bubbling plaster. They did an expert job on replacing the plaster, smoothing out the ceiling texture, and other carpentry work. All of the questions and concerns that we had about the project were addressed by Angel very quickly. The painters wore facemasks and also taped a secure plastic on the door to the living room to create a true barrier between the house and the living room. They were very clean and tidy. They were careful to wear facemasks and to wear gloves. I felt safe the entire time they were in the house. We are extremely happy with our living room. This is the third time we have used Angel's painting, twice at my house, and once at my daughter's house. The work just doesn't get any better than what Angel's crew does. They do a great job painting, but they do much more than that. They replace trimming, even replace old windows. They rebuild porch railings and front posts. Everything is done perfectly and professionally. The customer is asked if they are completely pleased. We certainly have been completely pleased! They even clean up and leave the area spotless. First off, I don't typically write reviews attributable limited time and my own temperament. I first met with Angel's Painting a full year prior to contracting the work performed, which was a complicated commercial project requiring extensive trim replacement, high elevations, site traffic, and sensitivity to tenants needs in addition to a generally critical client. What can I say, I'm being honest. While the founding Angel had retired in the interim, and his son Angel Jr. assumed responsibility for the company, any concerns or worries I harbored that such a transition might not benefit our needs or concerns were quickly dispelled by Angel the younger, an affable and communicative young fellow with a quick smile and a dependable sense of humor. Not every job goes well, in fact having contended with a number, and many trades over a longer period than I care to recall, I can say, those that go uneventfully are the exception and not the rule, and you know you have found a good company when something goes wrong and they own it, fix and acknowledge whatever the issue without rancor. I don't know what the future hold for this, the next generation of Angels Painting, but something tells me this kid and his firm are going places, and both are going to leave a lot of happy clients in their wake. -Paul read more

They did barely any prep work, no.manager was present so surfaces that were supposed to be painted did not get done. I continually had to call Angel to.check.the work.
