This is a preliminary review of the Porch Windows Direct product that we…read moreordered as it is still winter here in Montana and today is cold and snowy. I picked up the windows (2 pallets) yesterday as we had a break in the weather. I picked them up at the Fed Ex Shipping facility as the driver(s) would not deliver to my house or even come to my street. I am very disappointed in Fed Ex as I have had many large trucks up my driveway. I even had a truck from a concrete block company deliver 7 pallets of concrete blocks plus a forklift for offloading and moving them around. The driver then backed down my driveway. In any event, we will not (probably) get around to installing these windows until the weather improves, so this review is based upon my first impression and the packing. The window were very well packed with each one of 31 windows plus one door being individually wrapped in cardboard, and then carefully packed into a pallet where they were wrapped together with plastic wrap. The pallets were then closed on all 4 sides with particle boar, leaving only the tops open. I was only able to have a preliminary and random look at some of the windows, but they appear to be very well made and of the highest quality. We chose Porch Windows Direct because they seem to make a superior product. At this stage, neither myself or my wife have seen anything that would change our minds. I will follow this review with another as I gradually unpack and install the windows, but for now, kudos to Porch Windows Direct! This review was written in March of 2026, but not posted.

The PWD customer service, the Xtend product, and the overall value all more than checked the boxes for us! Thanks, Brandon and team. PS - I'll add a photo after the install.

We began the order in April 2025 with Windows Unlimited of Belmont CA on May 12, 2025. They've been nice but ineffective and not proactive to get to resolution. At this rate, my window project may not be complete until summer of 2026 - never expected a year of hassling and failures on a small job. The office window 1) opening was measured incorrectly (how does this happen?) 2) new window actually damaged upon delivery to the installer-- so another window ordered and installed The bedroom window 1) installed and promptly failed with moisture seeping in. 2) replacement installed Nov 6th after MANY follow ups and me chasing for service. 3) window fails again in December. reported the issue in December - silence Raise the flag again in January 2026 - email responses, finally now in limbo as there is production time and scheduling of Ezekiel the installer (who seems overbooked as my guess is that Marvin products fail 9 out of 10 times) Wlll definitely try Milgard or any other provider. By contrast, the 20+ year old windows and sliding door that they did not replace are sealed much better and do not require plastic insulation. The cost of these windows is not commensurate with the poor quality. My anxious parents purchased these windows expressly for energy saving, but the furnace struggles to keep their home up to temp and is on constantly when it drops below zero. The two rooms with Marvin products are 15-20 degrees colder than the rest of the house! Bad design? Poor build quality? Both? Stay away from Marvin products.
