After a hail storm, PCS Residential negotiated with our insurance company to replace our original, damaged Pella windows. There were several "go-arounds" with the insurance company, but in the end I must say that we got the best possible financial outcome that would have been possible. If I had gone through the process on my own, it would not have had as favorable results. Bryan Freeland, from PCS, worked tirelessly in the pursuit to select and install our Pella windows. We used PCS Residential after the hail storm last May 2017. The process of PCS speaking to USAA was very very slow.. but in the end.. it was worth it. PCS negotiates with your insurance company to get the best settlement. We were able to get a new roof, new windows, gutter screens, and fresh paint on some of our deck and garage. We had a ton of work done. Although the negotiating portion can be long and brutal (you wont hear much, just know they are working behind the scenes), the actually installation was fantastic. Every crew that came to our house did a great job. We love our new roof and windows. I would highly highly recommend PCS if you have an insurance claim. We had some new Pella windows installed. All the work men were great and were very considerate when working in and around the house. They were friendly and took extra time to do the job correctly. The process to order and determine the type of windows was handled by Tim and all worked out great. The staff was knowledgeable and kept us informed along the way. Once the windows were in we had some touch up to be done, and PCD sent Brandon Theil to do all the final work. He did a great job!!. The final finishing looks great and we were very happy with his work. Poor Craftsmanship Specialists. Our community has used them on two major projects so far and many of us are disappointed to say the least. After they did our siding project just a short couple years ago we have many errors they never noticed like light fixtures remounted way off center from the mounting blocks and holes in the same blocks exposing underneath to the elements. I had a patio that was heaving and was going to be removed that summer. After asking them directly is that would be in the way of the new siding they said no and later cut a curve in the bottom of the siding to go around the heaved cement instead of moving the cement. Lots more on these guys poor craftsmanship. It took lots of arguing to get things fixed and some I just ended up having to do on my own. This year we are going through repairs due to a hail storm and the team they had replacing flashing has done a very poor job. Looking at another 15 units they are consistently poor so maybe they just don't know how to flash garage doors and its a training issue. They surely do not know how to properly install garage door seals. They installed dozens of them too tight which will cause premature failure of the seals but Poor Craftsmanship Specialist Residential will have been paid and gone by then off to make errors on someone else's property. They were able to dent my garage door while they replaced the door seals and flashing. It does not appear that their team even has a clue how to re-screen screen without messing them up. In all on my unit alone there were 20 errors between the two projects and half of them I was forced to fix them on my own and the ones they did fix were a fight and Mike their project manager argued with me the entire time about it instead of just fixing it. Moral of the story is..If you are paying someone to do work for you and you have no idea of how the work is done you might want to get a friend or family member to stop by to inspect their work especially with these guys. read more

PCS was wonderful to work with. Our home had roof, siding, gutter & porch damage due to a hail storm. We met with 3 contractors; PCS offered the best pricing and one stop shopping package. The staff was very knowledgeable and kept us informed on each product installation. Working with insurance companies can be difficult, but PSC took care of everything and we had no hassles. Had a hail damage on my roof. They claim that adjuster will pay for many things but it was only roof and painting couple walls. PCS asked to sign a contract with them before adjuster came. As unsatisfied with result I called them and sent e-mails several times --- no respond, even I came to the office, they told me that my sales person was busy and I had to call before to make an appointment in order to cancel my contract with them (actually it is not a contract, it's just an agreement). I'm not satisfied with promised result and disappointed with communication. My neighbors waited about 2 month to fix their roof by PCS. I found local roofers with better deal on shingles 40% cheaper and better quality. 2 stars - not customer friendly. read more

PCS is one of the best companies I've worked with in the Cities -- by far. My family had some hail damage and went with another company. This other company did a *very* poor job working with the insurance company -- so we had to get rid of them. It left us in a bind -- but then we called PCS... They worked hard to make everything right. In the end, we got repairs that looked perfect, a team of hard-working, professional people who obviously care about what they do, and a larger issue with an insurance company taken care of. The June 2017 hailstorm caused roof, siding & window damage to our home. Our first contractor was a door knocker...BIG MISTAKE! After 5 months of bad communication, the roof job was finally complete, but a complete botch job!! They wanted to give me a steep discount on other jobs, but I insisted they redo the entire roof job which was completed about 2 months later. I told them that we are no longer contracting with them for any other jobs. I called Pella (apparently they don't do storm repairs), and they had Don Darnell from PCS contact me. We then contracted with PSC to do our windows, siding, gutters & downspouts. The window quote was the biggest obstacle with the insurance company; they wanted to give us very little compensation. It took many months for the insurance company to finally honor the PCS quote for the windows. When the projects finally began, there was great communication with each step of the process and everything went rather quickly. PCS did the windows & doors, and subcontractors did the other jobs. Outstanding service and workmanship by all! I have already recommended them to others, and they will be the first call I make if I ever need home repairs again. Extra "thanks" to Don Darnell at PCS, who went WAY above & beyond. At our first meeting, our 1st roof job was just completed (the botched job). He gave visual inspections, plenty of helpful advice/assistance dealing with the other contractor, and dealt with my endless questions and roof drama for the next couple months. read more

Hail Damage in 2013 to my Eagan home, I started working with PCS in 2014 determined to not let State Farm roll over me with this claim as they had done in the past. PCS guided me through the process of arbitration and all turned out as they had stated it would, well worth in. PCS used sub contractors for the roof and windows and both of the independent firms did great work. At the end of the process, US Bank Mortgage (NEVER USE USBANK!) held up a state farm check for 90+ days and PCS was incredibly patient with me for the balance due, waiting for the check to be co-signed by the US Bank. My home was damaged by hail in August 2013. PCS agent, Josh Hedlund, knocked my door and talked to me. At the beginning, I found there was one BBB complain on PCS. Of course, I would like to handle my home damage claim with some other companies. One of my friends recommended Paul Blordorn who helped her in a very successful fight against her home insurance company. But Paul Blordorn was working for PCS. I still have to go with PCS. How dramatic! I made a good decision. Josh is a very responsible person. From the beginning of my case to the end, more than one year, he replied my emails, phone calls in time. Also, he pushed insurance company adjuster again and again. Otherwise, my case may extend to 2 years. Paul is a very smart guy. With his help, my case was reclaimed. I have only good things to say about PCS Residential - from their service to their communication to the work completed on our home. We just completed a window project with PCS from an insurance claim that took 2 years to resolve (Yes, two years!). Our insurance would only pay for replacement sashes (which didn't fit or seal) so we had to go back to the insurance company for full replacement windows. Over the two years, PCS went above and beyond to provide the insurance company the information needed to get the full replacements. PCS came out to my house numerous times, were always professional and friendly, and never gave up until the claim was completed to our satisfaction. Most other companies would have moved on, but PCS showed their integrity by sticking with me over the two years until the job was done right. read more

I had new Pella windows installed in my house. 6 of those windows became defective and lost the argon. Keith from pcs only stained 2 of them. He said I would have to stain the rest of them. Also when the carpenters installed the wood picture frame around the windows they used nails, and the boards started pulling away from the house. They came back and put screws in the windows on the back of the house but not on front. When Keith came out to look at the front he said they never pulled the wood off to install the windows. He said that the house was settling. Needless to say they didn't fix their screw up. read more
