I used them for a trip to Scotland and Ireland. They did a great job. All of the accommodations were very good. The tour director and bus driver were especially helpful and gave us personal attention. My partner uses a walker, and the bus driver made sure it was available at all times. The woman that "helped" us picked the wrong airline that we wanted and picked an early morning flight for our way back which we did not want. She didn't tell us everything we needed to know which is not very helpful at all, we had to pay more money for some kind of insurance which should have been paid, and we NEEDED a reservation to get in one of the places we were going to, which she did not tell us nor reserve for us like she should have. I've gotten to work with a few staff members over at Elite Travel through the years, Jaime is always so chipper and excited to help in any way, Shannon is an expert problem solver always getting the best deals, Tonya really is the disney expert -single handedly planning my family of 5's perfect itinerary. I was nervous each time I got a different agent until I realized their specialties are all different. I'm currently working with another Jamie they have at the office and shes so well traveled (i think she said 21 countries) that i'm excited and nervous with each recommendation that she has! its reassuring that everyone at the agency has been around the block and visited so many of the places they suggest. I have yet to be disappointed with the hard work put in by these ladies, they take the stress out of traveling and have yet to miss a beat even when I threw curve balls their way. When my flight got delayed day of they got me on the next flight out of there and got me flight credit for the troubles, when my hotel room was switched and moved further from my children's room I called and within the hour we were in an adjoined room again, during covid they did everything in their power to help me out with a trip scheduled for may of 2020 (we eventually got to take the exact same trip with some added time and planning so even better than I imagine it would have been before). Absolutely horrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. First time dealing with this agency and never again. Originally booked a cruise to Alaska with a plane plus hotel reservation for the day before. Got the itinerary and saw that everything was wrong. Wrong hotel, wrong cabin type on the ship, plane ticket 2 1/2 times what I could see on Skyscanner for those dates. Sent e-mails and repeatedly called for 2 weeks with no answer from the agent. Finally contacted another agent and was told my agent was "out of the office indefinitely" and apparently nobody had been assigned my travel portfolio. I explained all the mistakes and the new agent said she'd fix them all, no worries. A week went by and still no updated itinerary so I talked to the owner, who said not to worry that they usually wait 2 weeks before the cruise to have clients come into the office and make sure everything was correct. Two weeks???? Had I waited until just two weeks before my trip, how well would they have been able to switch hotels, switch plane tickets, AND get the right ship room?? I was livid and said just cancel everything, going straight to the cruise line and get it done right. She kept my deposit saying that it was in the contract. So not only was I abandoned completely by one agent, ignored by the second agent, then told they wouldn't double-check accuracy until two weeks before the cruise BUT then they took my money. She could've at least said "sorry our agents dropped the ball so many times, leaving you feel that you couldn't trust us enough to stay our client, we'll make an exception and return the deposit and hope you'll give us a second chance in the future." BOOM! That may have removed the nasty taste in my mouth for how I was treated and actually given them a second chance in the future. Never again. read more

Elite Travel has been more helpful than I could ever imagine. I first worked with them when planning my honeymoon back in 2017. I had an idea of what I wanted to do but had no clue where to start. I always thought working with a travel agency would cost a fortune or it wouldn't actually get me where I wanted to be. I quickly learned- this was not the case. This team made it so easy to confidently know I was going to love my honeymoon adventure. I shared with them exactly what I had in mind and given that I was planning a wedding I couldn't be breaking the bank either. They were completely understanding of my budget but also my wish list! I knew I wanted to go to a beach somewhere and just feel relaxed overall. They gave me so many recommendations and personal testimonies from their team/clients on each of them. We determined the best fit for mine and my husband's honeymoon would be an all inclusive resort. This still left a pretty large option for the decision on which resort to go to. Just when I thought I'd feel overwhelmed, this team supported me by asking questions about the amenities, food, scenery, adventure that I must have there or that I could do without. This helped narrow it down a lot! Who knew?! When we landed on the resort company I wanted to travel with they sent me a very detailed list & pictures of the resorts so I could determine where I saw us staying. This made it incredibly seamless and as I said before, I was confident in my decision. I am so thankful for the team here and the amount of time and effort they spend ensuring you get the travel plans that you couldn't even dream of! We ended up going to Secrets Resort in Costa Rica and my oh my was it more than perfect!! Needless to say, we have booked all of our trips through Elite Travel since then-and have never been disappointed. I used Elite to book a trip through vacationexpress.com and while they were super nice at first, when things changed and circumstances called for them to stand up for me, they failed miserably. My flight from Nashville was delayed for almost 2 days due to the plane needing a "windshield". Yes a windshield! I went on the vacation, and was told by Carolyn (the owner) she would fight for us to get a substantial credit for my next booking. No agreement would be made unless I agreed to it first. Guess what? They took the bare minimum offered, a $150 per person credit and reimbursement for a night in Nashville. I got a $450 credit on a $3300 vacation, what a screw job! I started calling to ask why they accepted this without my approval and that's where the communication began to dry up. Emails not returned (but read according to my receipt) and calls ignored. I did get a letter from them stating my "credits were not valid unless booked through Elite." So last year I tried to use these cheesy credits but Elite won't take my calls nor respond to emails. I got pretty angry and blasted them for S you know what Y service after my last ditch effort explained to them I only wanted to use them so I would not lose these credits. No answer. I gave them almost a year to make this right and not a word. So buyer beware on Elite Travel of Cape Girardeau. They are of the lowest integrity. read more

Worst experience with a travel agent. Our family had already signed up and paid for tickets on a cruise. All our arrangements had been set. Then several other people wanted to go that didn't want to arrange things themselves so they wanted to go through this agent. We gave the agent our information, so they could book the other rooms close to ours. Within a week our rooms were moved and we were all spread out. When we contacted the cruise line find out what happened they told us the agent had moved things around and we would have to go through them to change it now. We had to fight to get this change back. We didn't receive our ticket information until 1 week prior when we asked about it. Once we got to the destination our transfers from the airport had been canceled. Very very difficult to work with. read more

I ma currently have a horible exp with this travel agency. They had booked me for an apple vacation all inclusive. I have used them for 3 years in a row and i have booked vacations with them a usually 3 weeks before the trip was leaving. I asked multiple times if the price of the all inclusive could get cheaper if we had waited because this time I booked 2 months ahead. I was guaranteed that the price would not lower. I looked on apple vacations and found the same trip for 800 less than what I paid for which is 1/4th of what i paid for the whole entire trip. They lie to you to get the sell. read more
