They were very professional, made sure to pick up all the limbs, leaves, and debris. They even blew off the street where the limbs had laid before loading them onto their truck. The huge sweet gum tree on our property had become a real pain, constantly dropping those prickly, round seed pods all over our driveway. It was also leaning dangerously over our powerlines and we realized it was time to get rid of it. We called several tree services and Elite won. There were several bad storms in a row, and emergency tree removals came up that required him to miss his appointment with us. He immediately called to let me know. That's really unusual these days. The best thing that a contractor can do is keep his customer informed, and Elite tree does this. They arrived yesterday and immediately got to work. His crew is amazing. They work so very hard and they're like a well-oiled machine. They took down that huge tree up on the hill and made it look like child's play, although it was very difficult. These guys are awesome. They were actually removing a tree on a home across from mine and then removed some of my other neighbors trees. They ended up removing a very large (and very dead) tree that was sitting very close to my home and another dead tree in my backyard. They were very efficient and professional. I spoke to the owner over the phone and by text only. Starting in April 2016, about taking a very large tree down. He gave me a price, told me a time he works be able to do it. I didn't hear back again for weeks. Every time I heard back it was , I'll be there next week . I went to the bank for the $3500 out and just holding the cash waiting for them to show. The microburst came through, he put my job off, he got married so he put me off. I have all the text. I finally took the money back to the bank and wrote him off as all talk. The last time we spoke was around October/November time. I have just given up on him. Yesterday, January 16-2017, I got a text from him. We are at your house cutting the limbs down. We hadn't even talked since last year. I had no idea they would be there at all. I came home stopped the workers. Neighbor's tell me they dropped a big log on my house and they cracked my driveway with their big trucks they drove. The owner calls me, yelling at me. I couldn't get a word in between him yelling at me. Said I gave him the go ahead to come on at anytime he chose. How to not run a business. He was threatening me with suits and trying to bully me. I have still not laid eyes on this man. Only text and calls. Had no idea if the insurance paperwork he showed in April was still valid almost a year later. read more
