The person who did the ultrasound was nice but I was there such a long time someone else was going home and apparently her job was to take out the trash because she kept coming in the room and doing so while I was having the procedure which was odd. I was told I have multiple "bad" veins in each leg and the doctor even told me he could visually see additional ones that didn't show on the ultrasound (that they needed to get an insurance authorization for). What I thought was just cosmetic suddenly turned into a medical problem! They gave me a "treatment plan" and after waiting an entire month for my first treatment appointment as they said it was the first available, again the waiting area was standing room only but I managed to get a seat. At one point I had to use the restroom but didn't want to get up as I knew I would lose my seat! After 1.5 hours waiting I got up and the bathroom was disgusting. No toilet paper and there were paper towel rolls and paper hand towels thrown all over the place and no hooks on the door to hang belongings. Asked the receptionist if she had an idea of how much longer and she said there were 5 people still ahead of me (and the whole time I was there I only saw a few go in). I left. The whole environment made me feel disrespected as a person and I was very hesitant to return after the initial appointment but wanted to give it a chance. The doctor seemed nice and maybe doing the best he can, but not nice enough to overlook ridiculous wait times and unsanitary conditions. Follow up: I went to NYU Langone as I was not going back to this vein clinic. The first step again was an ultrasound, but this time I was told there is absolutely nothing wrong with ANY of the veins in my legs! Add fraud to my complaints above and stay away!!!!

I was not alone--lots of people walked into the wrong lobby while I was there. The receptionists seemed really on top of things. Taking and making calls and sorting out things in a very professional way. I was there was a cpap mask fitting and was taken off guard that I was taken into a bedroom, but it totally makes sense. Just a heads up would have been nice. :)

The next one would've been six weeks away. My main complaint was that the receptionists were unaccommodating. Never did any one of them apologize for the mixup. Saving my life. He explained everything in detail as if it was a lesson in class and helped me understand what was going on. The procedure itself was painless and the outcome was amazing. He fixed my veins as if they weren't there. His assistant was great at making me feel comfortable also. I highly recommend Dr. Barfield and NYU.

The screaming across asking me my insurance information, "Baby what is your insurance". I did my part, I emailed and texted my insurance and my drivers license about 5times before my appointment because I had an appointment that was scheduled for January 9th and it was cancelled. The entire behavior of the staff gives unprofessionalism. The girls screaming, discussing other parent's information in the waiting room. I did not make it in the back to see the doctor, I left, but before I left I asked the same loud uncouth young lady her name in which she did not provide, she ask why I need her name, and by her No, she knew her behavior was unprofessional and I was going to make a complaint for her, so i decided to wait around to speak to a doctor in which I did speak with Dr.Ha, he was very apologetic however I still refused to seek treatment because first impression for me is very important and that loud unprofessional uncouth behavior says a lot about the kind of medical office I was about to receive treatment from. Booking an appointment was easy and reception was super friendly. Dr. Ha mapped out a clear plan to treat my issues. On procedure day, I was a bit nervous but the assistant was great about easing my nerves. I had a 2nd procedure a week later and while still healing I'm excited that my issues have finally been resolved! My leg was pretty bruised after the 2nd procedure, (as to be expected) but they gave me a cream to help with the discomfort and bruising.
