I did a VIN check on the car I was looking at and it came up clear. I found the real Ernie - Ernest Engelking - who owns the legit Ernie's Auto. He advised they don't sell classic cars, but do mostly repair work. He is aware of the scam, has reported to authorities and received a number of complaints for scammed individuals and demanded that the scammer, Ted Lasso, cease & desist using his company name. The photo of the CEO on the bogus website isn't that of Mr. Engelking. Even though I did my homework (negative reviews post-date my research) I got taken. Don't fall for this scam it is very thoroughly put together and realistic looking. Have reported to IC3. Don't believe the scammer's response to my review. The deal "fell through" because the car has never been delivered. I did not get my money back. Also, the photo of "Ernie" is bogus. The real Ernie is 82 years old. This is BS through & through.

We did so, and wow. We will never be going back to this place ever again. The car was $2,000 over Blue Book price and made horrible sounds while driving. The car also did not shift gears. When we talked to the salesman about all of this, he waved us off and told us that -someone- would pay the $2k over Blue Book price. As for the mechanical issues, he refused to believe us, despite the fact my dad has been fixing cars and other engines for most of his life. Really a disappointment. My family got an amazing car from here when it was DeBoer motors, but the current customer service folks apparently don't give a rip about treating potential customers right. If you're going to sell your car for $2k over Blue Book price, sure, do it. But you'd better be nice to the customer that brings it up and explain why, rather than just wave them off. In short: Horribly overpriced, cars may or may not work correctly, and awful customer service. Avoid.

He remembered my dad from a sale almost 20 years ago. When we went to test drive the car, he was there, answering any questions we had, showing us how things worked, encouraging us to go on a long drive, etc. When it came to buying the car, he did everything he could to work with us. Since I'm in Wisconsin, he and the office crew researched how much it would cost to title and plate the car here, as well as what sales tax I'd have to pay. He also turned over all the papers they had gotten from the previous owners, gave me a temporary MN permit so I'd be legal to drive home, etc, etc. When we picked up the car (the service department removed the tint for us), the service guys were super friendly and helpful. We've also had a previous experience here -- back in 2009 we had a PT Cruiser that we had bought elsewhere, and since they were the local Chrysler dealer, we contacted them to put in a block heater. They did it quickly, inexpensively, and were very friendly to work with despite the fact that we did not go to them for service or anything. These guys are truly fantastic, and they stand behind both their new and used vehicles. As things stand currently, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Did research online and found the TCM needed a software update. Now working at a local repair shop of my own I was leary about going to another shop, but we don't have the technology to do software updates. While talking to Duane I was told that my car had been set up with engine performance updates which was throwing the car for a loop. They reset the engine computer and reprogrammed the rest of the computers in my car, and I will say the car drove like a dream after that. I also brought in my 2011 Dodge Durango for a seat belt retractor issue. They got me in right away the day after I brought it to them, got it fixed and got the car back to me all within a couple days. All in all I will say these guys are awesome and will work with anyone. They have been willing to help and take care of any questions that I have. I will not hesitate to go to them in the future for anything.
