Seeing this doctor was such a relief for me. I had a terrible very traumatic labor experience with my previous ob/gyn office and it made getting much needed medical care hard. I had to leave the previous doctors behind because I couldn't be in that office without having a panic attack. I had an urgent need to be seen and saw Dr. Gonzalez. She was very patient and understanding. I didn't feel belittled or invalidated by her and she was super patient when my anxiety did start to kick in. I've always meant to write this review much earlier as my surgery was last year. I just wanted to thank Dr. Gonzalez for how kind and understanding she was throughout the entire surgery. This was my first surgery and it was an emergency operation. I was terrified but Dr. Gonzalez eased a lot of my nerves and discomfort. The surgery went very smoothly and the scars are hardly visible! Doctor Gonzales is the best OB I have encountered. She is very attentive and is a patient advocate. I rotated with the other OBs in the same office and they were careless and rushed through my appointment. When I first met Gonzales it was for a D& C feb 2019 and it was not a pleasure able experience because it was a heartbreaking situation. I got pregnant again a month later and started seeing sutter OBs again around April 2019. So when the time came around to see Gonzales I didn't expect her to be better than the other mds in the office. Boy was I wrong she listened and understood my concerns throughout my pregnancy. I had the best prenatal care and a healthy baby girl thanks to her. I was very fortunate that she was on call the night of my delivery. God bless her! She saved me. read more

Does not take time to listen and seems to be very rushy. I was late 10 mins and she refused to see me. But on my next apt I waited over 20 mins because she was running late. That's not acceptable! Don't wanna be seen by her. I notice the Elk Grove office is rude and they make u see a different OB each time. Wish I would have gone back to Roseville. They keep you with the same OB and Dr Amy Riley was amazing there! read more

Horrible experience. Rude, Rude Extremely rude! Worst doctor I've ever encountered she was so rude and rushed me. Dr Gonzalez made me feel like I was wasting her time Wouldn't let me finish my sentence and gave me an attitude 90% of the whole 1.5 hour Or more that I was there. Very insensitive. She didn't even introduce herself or apologize for making me wait so long to be seen, she went straight to asking why I was there. I was so nervous to be there and had so many questions regarding my body and health but she made me feel like all my questions were dumb. Never in my life had I ever dealt with such insensitive human being, especially a Doctor, she made me so sad, I was so excited to meet Dr Gonzales. Never going back to that office. Not pleased one bit. Making appointments in a timely manner is impossible. Dr. Gonzalez rushes through your visits, and doesn't seem to want to much to help. She put off surgery for close to a year... Multiple ultrasounds, new birth controls, and norco rx. And even said I was just constipated and gave me stool softeners. It never got better so she finally agreed to a laprascopy. She didn't care to listen to the long list of woman medical issues that ran in my family (including endometriosis), and had the nerve to tell my mom that she didn't care because I'm my own person and not them. Surgery results - removed one cyst, and claimed that I was just having severe constipation and needed to continue stool softeners. Well, I am now recovering from a second surgery, (6 months after Gonzalez surgery) where a LARGE amount of endometriosis was removed. This doctor cares about me, asks me questions, and really wants to know what hurts, my family history, and what I've already been through - he doesn't just want to prescribe me narcotics and send me on my way. I'd stay away from the entire office in which Gonzalez works because none of them have respect for their patients or know what they're doing. read more

My regular OBGYN doctor moved offices. I was up for my yearly. The office called me told me Dr Hastings was no longer their. Dr Elizabeth Gonzalez took over. Asked if I would like to schedule my yearly with her, they continued you will like her blah blah blah. I agreed. Started with waiting almost an hour between waiting room and exam room lol wait it gets so much better. I finally am seen. She asked if there were any concern, I told her I had a yeast infection not to long ago, wanted to make sure that was gone. Yes I also smoke. She gave me about 10 minutes. I am finally done, go to the front to pay, she says no it is your yearly no charge. I was like great. Yesterday I receive a $720 bill from this lady and office and surprise there is a office visit co pay of $30 that I was charged. Same office, yearly exam, different Dr. That equals a huge bill. This bill is almost what I make in 2 weeks. Shame on you Dr for not explaining that I would have a out of pocket bill of over $700 dollars. I have not called on it yet. Will update if they make this right. I will NEVER GO back to this Dr or office again....... read more

This is the worst OB-GYN office I've ever encountered. I chose Dr. Gonzales as my doctor and she seemed nice enough in person but nice simply doesn't compensate for incompetence and misdiagnosis. They misdiagnosed me here not once, but twice. The first time, one of Dr. Elizabeth Gonzalez's nurses relayed test results to me on the phone and drew conclusions that she apparently had no business drawing. She was trying to be helpful and was not totally wrong. If she was not the right person to be giving out that kind of information, Sutter Medical should have had procedures in place to prevent that. But they didn't. Yet in trying to clarify her nurse's statements, Dr. Gonzalez ended up giving me information that was overly broad and totally misleading. The second time, I went in to see Dr. Rosalini b/c Dr. Gonzales was unavailable and Dr. Rosalini flat out misdiagnosed me. She was in a rush to get in and out and was not keen to spend time answering my questions. That could've been her style, which is not ideal even without a misdiagnoses. Regardless, if Dr. Gonzales had not drawn the wrong conclusions in the first place and if Dr. Rosalini could've paid more attention, the misdiagnosis might not have occurred. The entire experience with Sutter OBGYN was extremely stressful and emotionally taxing. Again, this happened not once but twice. Yet after Dr. Rosalini's misdiagnosis, Dr. Gonzalez kept telling me to "move on." While she was not hesitant to criticize her nurse on the previous occasion, she was all together unwilling to take responsibility for her own misstatements and Dr. Rosalini's misdiagnosis. Well, I did move on--I found myself a much better doctor at a much more reputable facility elsewhere. She confirmed for me that Dr. Gonzales was wrong. Don't seek treatment here. Just had surgery to remove a 12cm cyst with Dr Gonzalez.... she was nothing but friendly and compassionate. I had very little postoperative pain. She did not rush my appointment and did answer all my question at my consulting appointment. I would recommend her to anyone needing a obgyn. If you have a problem with the doctors try letting them know your not happy with how your care is handle. read more

Dr. Gonzales is a wonderful physician. Takes her time, listens and acknowledges your issues, tries alternative/non-invasive treatments when possible, and always puts the patient's health first. She is truly a professional and I would not hesitate at all to recommend her to any of my family members or friends. I had a very complicated issue and she patiently worked with me until surgery was the only option. She did my surgery and I have had fantastic results! I feel liberated!!!! I only ever dealt with Dr. Gonzales during my time when I first visited l&d after a bleeding incident at 19w pregnant and then again when I was admitted to the high risk floor on bed rest. She normally works out of the Elk Grove office so I never saw her during my regular visits. My experience with her has been some good and some bad. At my first l&d visit, she was supposed to come down to talk to me but never did and instead called the nurse and had the nurse hand me the phone. It felt cold & impersonal. With that said, I understand she may have had more pressing issues happening but it would have been helpful to me if she'd at least explained that. Instead, she was very patronizing to me and said there was nothing they could do and that if I was going to lose this baby, it was going to happen regardless of where I was. It was a very cold and insensitive thing to say. My second experience with her was when I was admitted to high risk. She was the first doctor to see me in my first full day and her first words to me were "So surrogate next time?!" I didn't know what to say. Now to the good: she did end up being the one to deliver my son and she was very collected, patient and positive during that experience. read more

She is the best Dr. I have ever been too. She not only helped me medically (trust me she knows her stuff) she also helped me mentally through a rough time.
