I have been a long-time patient of Team Dental. Dr. Jaffari and his staff have been nothing short…read moreof excellent over the years. The doc is gentle on the teeth and firm in his guidance. And each time I visit, I find the team has expanded their offerings. Most recently, adding treatment for MSE to their repertoire.

Let me tell my story today at Team Dental. I scheduled my appointment for 3h30pm for an emergency…read more(I had my crown lose in front of my mouth, I am bleeding with pus in my mouth so I worried about infection). I got there 10 minutes early to get ready for my appointment. They called me in around 3h40 and went to the room and waited, waited till 4h15 or so when the doctor came in. No excuses about the delay, just plain and simple " please sit" (by the way, I sent my files from a previous appoitnment around 10 am today, so he could take a look). After back and forth communication, around 4h30 he said he needed to attend another patient while he was thinking about my case. All right....after 1h being there, it sounds fair right? Then around 20 minutes later he came in again and we came to a conclusion: I will have to wait a week to get my mold done. Then I asked him, do you think I can wait a week like these? He was silent.....anyway....Then we jumped to a fast solution and he said he would bring someone to give me price and so on....another 15 minutes and nobody came (even when I asked two times where was the person to give me pricing). I could hear the employees chatting in the hallway, but nobody came to speak with me. By 5h30 I decided to leave - 2h in the office and I left worse than I arrived. The office was pretty busy I must confess, but my experience was horrible. How would anyone like to stay 2h in the office with an emergency and leave empty handed to look for another dentist in the day after?

I usually take to Yelp and reviews to acknowledge outstanding service (see my profile), but today I…read moream reviewing in order to let consumers know of my experience at Main Street Dental. I struggle to place this review because the one dentist there, Dr. Lily, is outstanding - caring, professional and knowledgeable. However, the corporate staff is terrible, and my recent experiences have been awful. They seem to be motivated solely by profit and not patient care. For instance, I paid for a package with two cleaning for each member of my family. During the initial stages of COVID, the business was closed and when they reopened, they couldn't fit anyone in for several months, which I completely understood. However, by the time they were able to fit us in, they said the date of my "package" expired and they wouldn't honor my second cleaning, which I had already paid for. I didn't delay my teeth cleaning! THEY were closed and THEY couldn't fit me in. I did fight this and won that battle (I should not have had to fight this at all). Additionally, the cleanings now are nothing like they used to be. Kelly, who left, was amazing and took a full 40 minutes to clean my teeth (if you are out there, please let me know where you are, and I will come to you!!). The last several times we were there, cleanings took no more than 15 minutes - I do not blame the hygienists as I think there is pressure on them to fit more clients in. The bigger problem is that years ago a dentist at Main Street Dental suggested a procedure for my tooth to adjust the appearance - a close to 1K process. Sadly, this procedure caused me to lose the tooth. I have very good teeth and take very good care of them (you only get one set to get you through adulthood), so I was horrified by this. After losing the tooth, I was then told I needed a crown - another 1K plus. This lasted me 5 years until it broke off while flossing my teeth one day. Crowns typically last at least 10-15 years, sometimes more and should not break due to flossing. I came in as an emergency and was told a new crown would cost close to 2K. I questioned charging me the full amount due to the unique circumstances of my case (the previous dentist causing the loss of my tooth and the new crown only lasting 5 years). I was told that even though these circumstances were correct, the dentists who did the original work (through their office) had left the practice, so they wouldn't take responsibility for the mistakes those dentists made. It was still your office - Main Street Dental - and as a company you should take responsibility for the work that was done by the professionals that worked for you! I didn't come from another dentist's office, which would have been different. They also said that if they gave me any kind of break on the fee, Dr. Lily (who is wonderful) would not get paid, which is clearly ridiculous. So, I paid in full for the new crown that day because it was a front tooth and an emergency situation. I went for a follow up after and, as I was leaving the office, the office personnel yelled out to me "where are YOU going?" Then she checked and saw that I already paid in full and said I "could go." Really? That is how you talk to a client????? Our family has gone to Main Street Dental for over 20 years, and I liked the office when it was run by partners/dentists. We have spent a small fortune there over the years. It is now corporate run and, unfortunately, the corporate structure is money first, patients last. I have asked several times to speak with the regional manager and, despite my 20 year loyalty, I have yet to receive a single phone call from anyone....Dr. Lily if you ever go out on your own, we will be happy to follow you, but we are done with Main Street Dental and the rudeness, poor service and failure to take responsibility for poor work.

OMG, this is the worst and one of the most expensive dentist office ever…read more A few years back I went here for an emergency treatment instead I made an emergency exit out of the dental chair and out of there literally! The dentist who is now gone entered the room explaining things that were anything but dental work and all about up-selling his services. It was the weirdest and scariest thing I ever experienced. Most people hate going to the dentist anyway mix that in with a crazy dentist and you got a rated R horror movie! I recently had a old filling break and needed a dentist,a friend of mine told me that Main Street Dental had a new staff and the dentist there was good to give it a try. I don't have dental insurance so I'm price sensitive, but needed a dentist so I gave it another try. I walked in and told the receptionist that I needed a filling fixed, she made me tell my whole story only to proceed to try to sell me a dental plan for $300 That included two cleanings a year, free xrays and 20% off all dental services. Scam sign off the bat. I only needed my tooth fixed that's it and when I asked for the price I couldn't get one other then it could cost up to $500.00 that I didn't have. No payment plan, no concessions, no compassion! Once more I walked out. After a month of a toothache I finally found a local family dentist that charged me $150.00 with no up sell along with an excellent Dentist with a sweet receptionist that made me an emergency appointment for the same day. It's sad that the corporate world of dental care doesn't care about you they care about your dental insurance and payment.
