I walked out of the treatment room and they took a panoramic xray then numbed him out .... once the xray came out they said oh its an implant and charged him close to 1300 for an implant that was basically waving in the wind. As a former Registered Dental Assistant i was in total shock. It took the doctor less than two minutes to extract it. I insisted my husband call back and he spoke to the Dr who agreed he had been overcharged. 2 months later the Dr Pikos will not come to the phone despite 5 or 6 attempts to speak to him. No refund has been given. I am going to file a complaint with my insurance company as this is quite poor business.

The office is super clean and located conveniently on Main Street, just 1.5 mi from downtown Dunedin. I appreciate that Dr. Spencer, a veteran who served on the US Dental Core, used a digital impression to create my crown, which was far more efficient than the original one formed by a physical impression. Dr. Spencer however provides honest and transparent advice and it never feels like he has an agenda other than patient care. His staff are all very attentive and helpful at every step of the process and the recently renovated office is so nice and clean. Apparently Dr. Carazola and his staff are pretty well known and respected, because I live several stares away and met someone here who had also driven pretty far on referral to be treated by Dr, Carazola. Unfortunately for me, when I had my grafts done, I was still a smoker (I know... don't do like me). I need to redo both grafts but it is my own fault. Everything was very professional, as well as very friendly. Anybody who needs this sort of work done is likrkybto be anxious, worried and probsbky embarrassed (maybe that's why there are no reviews yet?}. Trust me, please, nobody here will make you feel bad about your oral health. They are there to help, and they do it well. I also thought their prices were very fair. I'm pretty sure the bone graft (on a lower back molar) was about $1200, somewhere around there. I'm not wealthy, I struggle to pay bills, but I was able to afford treatment here. I only wish I could come back and redo the work that I need (now that I'm a few years off of cigarettes) because I think the world of these people.

After a very short wait, Bella, the dental assistant called me back. She was very friendly as she prepared me for my exam and took my x-rays. The room itself was clean, calming and comfortable. Then I met Dr. Anida. She was friendly, professional and has a confidence about her that immediately put me at ease. And I tell you I was a bundle of nerves. I had been sick for days before my appointment with worry about having this procedure done. Dr. Anida was absolutely WONDERFUL. She explained everything to me. She was patient and compassionate and did a fabulous job on my filling! I should add that my filling was not a simple job. It was my wisdom tooth. Which is partially covered by the inside of my cheek and has other fillings in it. And one of them has a crack in it. And guess where the cavity was? On the bottom all the way in the back of the tooth! I explain all this to say Dr. Anida has SKILLS! I had no pain as she worked and today, two days later I'm perfect.
