They told me my insurance doesn't pay for filling. I call my insurance co. to verify my coverage and was told that I am covered for filling with a $25. copayment. I called VIP for an explanation as to why they told me my insurance would not pay for the filling. I am told I did not get a filling (which I requested), but instead I got what is called a "build up". So my request for extraction if the tooth couldn't be filled was ignored and they did what they wanted to do and bill me for the complete procedure. If I am paying for a service, I expect that exact service. I am very angry.

I was first introduced to Clearwater Family Dental when I brought my mother (75, living with dementia) and my 95-year-old stepfather. The entire team made them feel safe, respected, and comfortable, and both were extremely pleased with their extractions and updated dentures. That experience alone spoke volumes. Also, Dr told me I need to get rid of my two root canals. Of course, at first I took care of the Area behind the gums first. I started feeling a little better. However, a year or later I had another episode. That's when I decided to get rid of the root canals. I was super scared. The procedure went very well and smooth with no issues. My lung capacity increased right away. I was finally able to breathe with the full lungs. I told everyone about it. It happened within an hour after my root canals were taken out. He didn't try to wow him with all the new tech in dental services, he just examined his teeth and asked what the issue was. He fixed my dad's tooth there on the spot and didn't rush through it. He kept asking my dad if he was satisfied and when my dad said no Dr Christensen would just keep making minor adjustments until my dad was happy with the results. The entire staff is friendly and overall it was just a great experience. It is such a relief to finally find a dentist we can trust and won't try to sell extra services just to make a buck. Last visit they replaced a filling that looked like it may fall out (so there was no issue, we just decided let's do it) since then I have had dental pain to that tooth. I cannot chew on my primary side of my mouth. I've been evaluated twice, they filed down the filling - it still hurts. Literally, making me insane. How is it fair to hurt someone and they suffer for months? Or indefinitely? Disappointing. I've never had dental pain or trauma and I can now understand why people are terrified of the dentist. They should very well know the side effects of improperly chewing food on the human body and digestive system - I am quite literally systemically suffering from their "care". Should I eat soup forever?? Chewing a NOODLE hurts. Pissed off.
