Dr. Odulaja is part of Dr. Abiola Familusi, AOH's Chief Medical Officer, team. AOH retains and allows an attending doctor with disciplinary actions in multiple states to treat patients (see screenshots). My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers over 12 years ago. On the word of a doctor with multiple license suspensions, AOH changed my mother's diagnosis from Alzheimers to Dementia with psychosis. AOH then stopped giving my mother her memory drugs cold turkey, no gradual decline. No one on AOH's medical team is a neurologist nor did they consult my mother's neurologist before making this dangerous change. My mother was also diagnosed with epilepsy and seizures despite not having a history of either of these illnesses. AOH also provided no support for either of these diagnoses. AOH put my mother in a room where she was pressed up against a hot, sharp-edged metal radiator. Despite multiple complaints, I was ignored by the COO until I called the Ombudsman's Office to alert them to my mother's great risk of injury. My mother could have been burned by the radiator or lost an eye, but AOH did not care until I called the Ombudsman's office. When I tried to move my mother to another facility in April, AOH falsified the PRI to state that my mother was the highest level of violent. This false PRI was given one day after the nursing manager told me that my mother was so calm that she no longer needed seroquel. Of course, the admission offer from the other facility was withdrawn. Although my mother was admitted to AOH as an in-network provider from my mother's managed long-term care plan as part of a safe discharge plan, AOH put pressure from Day 1 to sign my mother over to long-term care. I refused and they threatened to have my Power of Attorney revoked! In their zeal to coerce me with undue duress to force my mother into long-term care, AOH committed a HIPPA violation by sending me the medical details for another patient where they had themselves appointed Payee Representative so they could take the patient's social security check despite the patient having a wife and daughter. In an email between the two finance employees, the junior finance employee asks the more senior employee can they do this and the more senior employee tells her to go ahead and do it! A truly unbelievable exchange. It is elder abuse because it is financial exploitation. The private rooms may lull you into a false sense of security that this is a suitable place, but do not be fooled!! AOH will prey on your loved one! They are desperate to turn your loved one into a private ATM at the least possible cost to them.

To all who are seeking a place for a loved one, please be cautious of this place. My grandmother…read morehad moved into this place several years ago after her husband passed away while still being semi independent. In the beginning, it was a second home to her, filled with countless activities, caring staff and management, and so on. Unfortunately, as time went on, and my grandmother was having much more trouble walking before transitioning to a wheel chair and constantly having to use the bathroom due to medical issues, the place changed. The facility kept tacking on extra care charges despite the fact my grandma had a private aid 12 hours a day. When trying to call the finance department to state that my family was paying privately for an aid for half the day, all we were left with was an argument, a cold nature from the woman who works in the finance department or at one point, no call backs because they could not be bothered doing their research. My grandmother had fallen, while an aid, who worked for the fountains (not private,) was in her apartment with her, resulting in three fractured ribs, stitches in her head, hip injury, a black eye, a bloody nose and being rushed to the ER. The aid in the room was the same aid my grandmother had asked management not to assist her due to the aids cold, rude and uncaring nature that had resulted in discrepancies in the past. To this day, my grandmother, facility staff and the aid all have different stories. How does a resident fall in their small apartment while an aid is present you may ask? We still ask to this day. On top of this, the facility nearly blamed my grandmother for the aid not doing her job properly. Not too long after this incident, my grandmother had to go to a rehab facility. The Fountains waited until the last possible second (3 days before she was to be released from rehab) to evaluate my grandmother to only say they would not take her back at the fountains. My grandmother was devastated. If you ask me, they did not take her back to cover their own behinds because of the incident that occurred with the aid in her room. The Fountains uprooted my grandmothers entire life due to not taking her back, and essentially left her without a place to live. On top of that, she was expected to pay for each day her belongings were still in her apartment. Imagine being held liable to pay an excessive amount of money when a facility essentially kicked you out of your home? Absolutely sickening. Please be Leary of this place before placing a loved one her. Please also do not trust the aid SUSANNA with your loved one, as she is the aid responsible for my grandmas injuries due to carelessness. The staff and management are not what it used to be. They have no problem taking your money, but have problems with taking responsibility for the staff's poor behaviors and correcting it

He hesitated a bit but after settling into his apartment and new routine, he seems at ease. He enjoys it all, but most of all the restaurant-style food service. It's a great environment, topped off with a fabulous location in the heart of the village of Tuckahoe, New York, experiencing its own revival in recent years. The Fountains at RiverVue have turned out to be a great choice for our family. And it's true! A river runs through it! Or is that a "rivie're?"

I was quite disabled when I arrived and it wasn't until I started to recover, near the end of my stay there, that I wanted to go home. I knew I needed to be there, and the staff members knew I did too. Most were attentive and supportive and any concerns I had (there weren't many) were addressed promptly. The facility is kept very clean, the food was good (they accommodated my special requests) and there are daily activities for the patients to partake in. Staffing however, could be better. Please note that the main reason I chose Sprain Brook Manor was for the physical therapy and it was definitely the right choice. When I arrived there, and I do not exaggerate, I could not sit up, stand up, walk, use the bathroom, write, tie my shoes or pretty much anything else that required the use of my hands, legs and back. Thanks to the amazing efforts of my physical therapist Gilbert and my occupational therapist Rolanda, I improved slowly but surely and, to the surprise of many, I was able to walk out of there and go home! I cannot thank those two enough and will be forever grateful to them for accomplishing the impossible!

There are differing levels of experience and at certain times the therapists are stretched thin, attending to as many as four patients at once. So your form isn't monitored very well which I think would be a problem for people who aren't used to exercise. Having said that, this gave me the opportunity to learn as much as I could from each of therapists I worked with. One therapist in particular took the time to analyze my structural alignment and suggest approaches to correct an issue. The difference is quite marked after two months of doing the specific exercises and stretching he prescribed.

The hospital itself looks like there hasn't been any renovations since the 70s. The rooms are disgusting and never ever get cleaned. It'll be dirty when you get there and then you'll stay there for days not seeing it get cleaned even once. That's probably why the rooms often reek of human feces, especially since the staff will just leave piles of human feces sitting in the room for you to smell. The nurses gossip about patients like a bunch of chickens, often even gossiping about patients with other patients. They are constantly violating HIPPA right in front of your eyes. You'll lay for hours in extreme pain, and need to bug and harass multiple people multiple times just to get medicine that gives you an hour of pain relief. You won't be able to get any sleep because of the noise of the patient next to you snoring like a grizzly bear and the patient in the hall screaming "help me" and "I want to die" for DAYS on end. You'll need to beg to see a doctor, in fact at night there's actually usually only one doctor in the entire hospital. You'll wait days to just to get a quick minor surgery because they lack the ORs and staff to take care of the patients in the hospital. They will not let you transfer to another hospital and will threaten you if you try to leave just to get you to stay. Do not come here under any circumstances, even if it is an emergency. You're better off dead than staying here.
