I was a bit nervous at first but the staff were super friendly and walked me thru everything. Every staff member we came across was knowledgeable and made the experience fun! They are very serious about fun safety and quickly addressed a gentleman who walked in with an uncased gun, he was politely but sternly advised on their policy and shown the door. I felt very safe. On the range itself, there were many shooters around us and they were all very friendly and encouraging. It was so much fun, relatively affordable and we will definitely return to try other varieties of guns to shoot from their large selection.

You pay at the office building (past the range building) first, & then go to the range building to shoot. Bring your ID, eye & ear protection, & tape and paper targets! Make sure you abide by their rules, like no aiming anywhere but towards the targets, no pictures of people to be used as targets, no rapid fire shooting, etc. - for safety's sake. We also saw outdoor areas for archery and skeet, & a path that looked like it led to multi level shooting practice areas. Fun!! I'd definitely come back!!

My wife brought me to GUNTRY for my birthday, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with a simulation session, which was so cool. I am already planning to do it again. The shock pack that zaps you when you get hit is wild. It is a little crazy, but honestly really fun to try. We spent an hour at the range afterward. It is definitely loud and a bit tight, but it gets the job done. The staff was friendly, patient, and very helpful the whole time. The retail shop is huge too, with tons of firearms and accessories to browse. We ended the night at their cigar and whisky event, and that was a great time. The whisky was strong and plentiful, and dinner was delicious. It was all catered in house by the cafe. Pricing is pretty reasonable overall. Their lesson rates seem lower than a lot of other places I have seen, although I have not had a chance to take one yet. My only complaint is that I wish it were closer. I live in DC, so it is definitely a trek, but it was worth the drive.

It is a farm that has converted some of its acres to skeet shooting. This shooting range features Benelli rifles. The main lodge sells accessories, clothing, and rifles. You have the option to pay for access to course which includes rifle(s), ammo, safety goggles and ears. There are at least a dozen shooting booths with different target options. I used to be a big fan of The Gun Range because of their friendly staff and their policy allowing outside ammo. As someone who buys in bulk from Cheaper Than Dirt, being able to bring my own rounds makes this hobby much more affordable. Unfortunately, my last visit with my son was a major disappointment: Shotgun Ammo Price Gouging: We brought a new Boss 25 to break in, only to be told we could no longer use outside shotgun ammo. They quoted me $48 for a box of 25 shells. For context, I buy 250 shells online for $86. That is a massive markup. Misleading Safety Claims: When I questioned the policy change, the manager claimed it was due to a fire caused by "faulty shotgun ammo" at another range. I looked this up while waiting; the fire she referenced was actually attributed to faulty air filtration, not ammo. Poor Customer Service: We bought two targets but only ended up using one. When I tried to return the unused, unrolled target, I was told it was "unreturnable" because it was rolled up--despite the fact that the clerk was the one who rolled it when selling it to us. A private business has every right to change its policies, but they should be honest about it. Don't hide behind safety excuses to justify inflated prices. They've lost my business and my trust.
