This place is basically an adult playground in the best way. They have everything here, including surprisingly great food. My wife brought me to GUNTRY for my birthday, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with a simulation session, which was so cool. I am already planning to do it again. The shock pack that zaps you when you get hit is wild. It is a little crazy, but honestly really fun to try. We spent an hour at the range afterward. It is definitely loud and a bit tight, but it gets the job done. The staff was friendly, patient, and very helpful the whole time. The retail shop is huge too, with tons of firearms and accessories to browse. We ended the night at their cigar and whisky event, and that was a great time. The whisky was strong and plentiful, and dinner was delicious. It was all catered in house by the cafe. Pricing is pretty reasonable overall. Their lesson rates seem lower than a lot of other places I have seen, although I have not had a chance to take one yet. My only complaint is that I wish it were closer. I live in DC, so it is definitely a trek, but it was worth the drive. read more

This place is pretty cool! I came for a birthday celebration in the simulator. That thing is AMAZING! First of all, it has 3 huge screens to give you a full field of view. You can be a cop and respond to scenarios or just play shoot-em-up games. They also provide a battery back you can wear on your hip to let you feel like you've been shot. Whoa! That's high speed! But let me back it up. When you walk in they have a full-blown store with 5-11 gear, weapons, gear, etc. It's nice. We signed in and walked back to the cafe to order some food prior to playing on the simulator. That's right, I said Cafe! Fancy right. They've got a decent menu to include deserts. It's a pretty big place. We checked out one of the firing lanes. They have 100 yard lanes. Crazy. You can take classes to train you to shoot, defensive tactics classes, and they even have a VIP section. Swanky. I'm new to the area so I think I've found my new local range (and so much more). What a wonderful experience! As others have stated Guntry is clean, well organized and the staff is very friendly and super helpful. We were a group of six couples with all of the ladies, minus one, being first time shooters. Our partners served as our teachers on this outing but the staff also jumped in to assist with technique which gave the guys a break. From check-in, to getting the necessary supplies, entering the range and departing everything was seamless. There were plenty other women here and children too :) Historically having a moderate fear of guns, I felt completely safe at all times. I did not check out the cafe and store on this visit, but next time for sure. I am looking forward to returning. read more

I went to Guntry on January 8, 2026 approximately at 6:30 pm with my former instructor. The lady at the front desk was very rude. She had a very, very nasty attitude and no customer service skills at all. She did not have the correct information when we arrived, so when the Manager was called and gave rhe correct information to my former instructor her attitude got worst. She just kept complaining why did he contact him. My first visit to Guntry about 3 to 4 months ago was a great experience, but not this time. The review is for the VR portion only - first time here & more than likely the last. We booked a 30 min VR for $35. They told us to come 15 early where we had to fill out waivers that had nothing to do with VR. We also had to watch a 9 minute safety video about shooting real guns - again irrelevant. We were kinda confused on how the VR worked because we weren't briefed on that. We were given the option of what game do you want to play? Ducks, zombies or cops? Well we ended up playing all of them. The guy running it clearly didn't like doing it and had to even radio another worker on how to work it. The other work assured him he was trying to move him out of VR. Anyways - There was no suicide warning / trigger. One of the characters in the cop game had a gun to their head. And this is a severe trigger for me. I started crying and got emotional. The worker had 0 empathy or even asked me if I was ok. I vocalized I did not enjoy that at all and we'd never come back and he didn't even respond. When we walked to the front it was awkward and not professional at all. read more

Upscale undoor shooting range just off of I-795 in Owings Mills. My and I completed the holster safety course. We had Jason as our instructor. He was informative, patient and pleasant. The training was informative, short and sweet. They covered all the essentials and didn't make it complicated. They offer other types of trainings as well if you are interested and sell apparel and discounted membership programs. Enrollment in classes or sessions are easy because you can book from an app to do everything and can even sign your waivers and complete an online training before you arrive to make check in easy. Pricing is fair. Friendly team members at check in and the range officers were helpful. Lounge area was nice. We got sandwiches from the cafe and really had a great time here. The Cafe has Berger cookies folks! They offer membership, pricing, class offering/lessons, firearms rentals, reservations that you can get information about via their website. read more

This is a gun club. Whatever you are looking for in a club, GUNTRY has it. The staff was so friendly and I wasn't intimidated since I don't have a bunch of guns, experience, or knowledge in this world. I love this world but again this staff treated me and my children like pros. We first opted for the simulator and that was amazing. I had on the pain inflictor as I call it. The pain came when I got shot by the bad guy. I wouldn't make a good cop trying to rescue a hostage from the mall theater. Then my son and I sent 100 rounds down range with a SIG SAUER 226. The range captain, Charlie, is so nice and helped me out when the firearm didn't perform which of course was operator error. Pretty sure we will come back here and may try their tasty looking cafe. This is the best indoor range in Maryland. The ranges, the RSO's (Range Safety Officers) and other staff are great. They even have a VIP area that has vending machines you can play for free, a pool table lots of comfortable seating, a cigar lounge with a special ventilation system, A special VIP shooting range for VIP members or for parties. They have catering available by the cafe for events such as meetings, Weddings, reunions, Group get togethers, or anything else you want to celebrate. They also have a great Cafe with wonderful food. I personally love the chicken salad on a bed of greens of your choice or as a sandwich. I've taken group classes and private sessions and everyone is great. You don't know what you're missing if you've been to other Maryland indoor ranges but have never been to Gunty Maryland. read more

Employees on standby to sweep brass up whenever you need them. Booths are too tight. Def enough room for two people to stand comfortably. High-powered rifles are available if you feel like going to the long-range to show off like Bob Lee Swagger. If I had one con about this place it would be the opening time. 11 am is late for me, but that's just me. But they offer everything you can ask for. Private classes, simulators, firearms transfers & more. Beautiful place. Extremely huge parking lot, so no worries with parking. They also give discounts to police/military/fire. Very commendable. From making the reservation, to the registration process, to the very helpful and professional staff, this place is great. I am not a regular gun person - I have only ever shot 1 time before, but my wife and middle child wanted to do something unusual for the weekend and decided we would go target shooting. We don't own guns (and most likely will never own them) but we felt well taken care of by the staff. We rented guns, purchased the targets and bullets, and spent an hour making holes in things with loud noises. We never felt looked down on or ignored (which can happen in some places when you are a noob). The selection was great and the range staff was super helpful and even when I dropped the clip, they came and helped with a very positive attitude. Lots of stuff to purchase in their gift shop (including branded wear and guns, of course). A nice mix of people there - different ages, sexes, and backgrounds - and everyone seemed to be having fun. Saw lots of folks who clearly are members and come regularly and I am sure we were the least experienced. Lots of parking, and while the time wasn't cheap (we paid about 220 all in for 2 lanes, 4 boxes of bullets, rental of guns and safety goggles and ear protection, and targets) we all had a good time. Enjoyed ourselves enough to talk about returning during the next break when kid 2 is home. Really great experience. read more

This is a fantastic facility based in Baltimore County Md that's very easy to find. I have a membership at Adams County Sport Handgunners Association in Gettysburg, PA, and I still drive to this range for a safe shooting experience. The Gettysburg Club is cheap but very dangerous to attend the action shoots they have each month. The club has had multiple issues with bullets coming back into the parking lot that could have hit someone. I would highly recommend Guntry to safely target shoot and attend professional training classes in a supervised environment. Excellent training and polite instructors. read more

Took the qualification portion of my CCW class at Guntry and it was a great experience. First thing I noticed is the mix of different cultures of people and how clean the facility was. Everyone was friendly and helpful, they have a nice selection of firearms for rent and knowledgeable employees. They also have their own cafeteria on site with pretty decent food. With a Cafeteria, Lounge, up to date range, and indoor laser/video range that allows for reflex and scenario training, this place is almost a mens gentlemen club. My only two complaints, little pricier than others, and an entire bag of ammo I purchased turned out to be soft-taps/bad ammo. Out of two, they gave me a refund on one cause I had already shot up half the other (reasonable) but I believe they put the spare bag back in shelf. Lost a star for those two issues combined. Just had to take a renewal class (083124) for the MD HCP (Conceal Carry). I had the pleasure of having Grant Lyons as the instructor. What an absolute top notch, knowledgeable instructor. I have been shooting for over 40+ years and Grant taught me more things I never knew from instructors I have had in the past 40 years including, from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC at Glyndon, GA) which I attended. Grant worked with an RSO "Bud" on the range and I must say they complimented each other in all their efforts to provide a professional and memorable experience. This has impressed my wife and I so much, we will take more of Grant Lyons classes.Guntry has caught a true gem in Mr Grant Lyons. What a great place for practice shooting. The employees are very polite and professional every time my wife and I go there. The owners are wonderful and aim to please, whether your practicing or purchasing a firearm, which I have made several purchases from Guntry. Great family fun and practice at the same time. I'm so impressed by Guntry, if I could give them 6 stars I would. My husband and I came here recently, me never having shot a gun before. Neither of us had ever been a gun range so we didn't know what to expect, but based on the Yelp reviews I hoped Guntry would be friendly, accessible to a newcomer, and not feel like a scary experience, all of which was 100% correct. Guntry seemed to me very well staffed - both in the volume of staff members working and each person's ability and willingness to be hands-off or hands-on, as you needed. I needed and wanted guidance on everything from how to buy bullets to how you enter the range to what kind of ear protection really works. But I could see other people coming in and out who had it down and staff left them alone. It seems like Guntry has put a lot of thought and time into making an experience that's welcoming to a wide range of clients. For instance I appreciated that the targets were everything from a classic menacing dude to a bunch of rainbow balloons - it communicated to me that everyone's welcome here. I could go on for a long time but if you're interested in trying this out but feel nervous or like you aren't a typical gun range person, you should definitely visit Guntry. (I assume they're also awesome for gun owners who do this regularly based on the excellent reviews - I just can't speak to that.) A couple tips: 1) If you aren't a member you can't book a lane very far in advance, but just set a reminder to check when the booking window for non-members opens and you should be able to find availability. 2) Check out the Cafe while you're visiting, it is really impressive (and delicious). read more
