This all pales in comparison with Mary's breakfast and the hospitality of this wonderful couple. Bring your appetite to breakfast and you will be more than satisfied. We rented the entire upstairs and they made us feel like part of the family. You absolutely could not find more pleasant and gracious people anywhere. Beautiful sitting area outside in the trees with a gazebo, tables and chairs. Breakfast is at a large table for all guests to sit down and meet/visit with over the most AMAZING home cooked farm-to-table food! They even sat down with us and we had a great conversation before we left on the last leg of our long motorcycle trip. We will most definitely be back to support this down to earth and hard working couple. Highly Recommend!!!

Where do I start? From the beginning I guess. I've been putting off this review for a while now,…read morenot wanting to relive my experience at the Sheridan Hampton Inn. But since it's coming up on Halloween, it's fitting I share the horror....the horror. I found this establishment on the internet. It was listed with all the other Sheridan lodgings. I thought, Hampton inn, why not? It's an upscale national brand. A click and I was presented with a number of price options. Naturally I clicked on the most economical. Hey what can I say, I've got Scottish blood running through these veins. My price choice was on Snaptravel. $12 bucks less expensive than the others. Nice. When I checked in, the desk clerk searched the computer, and said, "Oh, you booked with another company, one minute please". A minute later I was handed my room cards, and on my way I went, to what was to be a chamber of horrors . First thing I usually do is to open the curtains to let in the light, and look at the view. Oops, that didn't work, very little light, and a view reminiscent of what Charlie Manson may have seen out his prison window. Check out the picture below. Well, you can't win em all. Later in my stay I had to use the bathroom. Unfortunate for me, cause it was there that I met the ghosts of Hampton past and present. Filthy. Ugh. Hair to the left of me, trash to the right. On the wall, smudges of poop. I won't be meeting the ghost of Hampton future, nor should you. Remember, I warned you. Quick Tip: Use the Snaptravel price if you dare. I think since you're getting the cheapest price, they reward you with the worst rooms. I'm not going to use that option anymore. I can only handle Halloween once a year.

The housekeepers were rushing us out for checkout, they stood right by the door and entered the room at 12:01 for a 12:00 checkout. The hot tub felt boiling and the pool felt like a cold bathtub so it would have been nice to have had a comfortable in between. I would have liked to have had adult hours at the hot tub because there were small kids in the hot tub the entire time and they didn't leave until 10pm. Pets are allowed and service animals are always allowed.

I asked for them to price match another hotel 2 blocks down. The other hotel had $20 lower. This Days Inn wouldn't price match. Asked for a single bed room and they mistakenly gave me a double bed room. Not a real complaint but it doesn't seem like they listen to their customers. I've been to a few Days Inn, this one is by far the worst. The rest are great. This Days Inn's staff seems to give a cold shoulder.
