This campground is one of the cleanest, nicest, friendlier, funny signs everywhere, funnier, helpful, beautiful location, and just overall great place for family to go stay. They have a heated pool, dog park, playgrounds, basketball court, gazebo, fishing pond, volleyball court, putt golf course, rustic cabins, full hook ups, great camp store with souvenirs, sell great burning firewood, tent sites, activity center, and pull through sites as well. Only an hour 15 min away from the Indiania Dunes National Park. When I was in the camp store she was tell this small group of young girls to stick together and not separate from one another! It's so sweet that she even cares for your kids like she would her own. The lady behind the counter was so helpful, she gave us great suggestions for donuts which turned out to be totally right as to where to go for the best donuts. The problem was coming in just to find the site...the TREE names are listed WITHOUT your camp site number.. The restroom was neglected...bugs...flies..broken unflushed toilets..no paper towels to dry your hands...pathetically dirty The site itself was ok ..we did like that they all had fire pits and picnic tables read more

I felt that we were somewhat closed in and it seemed kind of dirty. Might have been from the rain, but no garbage cans to put our trash in without completely taking all the lids off of all the garbage cans!! Ridiculous!! read more

Pull through site with easy in/out and full hook ups. Campground is older and needs some love, so might have ranked it lower but heard this is only the owners second year with this location and they were super helpful! They have their hands full with repair of roads, sites, electric, old cabins, etc, but super nice and helped with electrical issues very quickly! I have no doubt that we will stop again traveling through and look forward to seeing what they do for this small KOA location that needed some love. read more

This place is a NIGHTMARE. Booked for an overnight stop while traveling cross country. Every site is tiny in length and width. Literally crammed together to fit in as many as possible. Nothing is level, pavers are popping up, fire rings are so rusted they're in multiple unusable pieces. They allow people to park seemingly wherever as EVERY road has cars lining the sides virtually IN the road. Camper awnings extended up to 1ft INTO the road. As a result, just getting to your site is extremely challenging, let alone being able to park. Up until now I didn't know it was possible to make a pull through spot hard to park in. I'm struggling to understand why I'm asked to include the length of my trailer if I get assigned a spot that it very clearly does not fit in. Both ends of my camper were almost at the edges of the roads in front and back. I couldn't even unhitch without doing an 8 point turn to avoid hitting the car across from my site. Forget about parking on your site, I had to park my tow vehicle at the office which also has barely any parking, and then walk all the way back to my site in the pitch black. I have ALWAYS trusted KOA to provide the top notch quality they are known for but, now I find myself second guessing when booking a KOA again. This is truly a disgrace to the KOA brand and I HIGHLY recommend corporate to immediately reconsider this franchisee as this is nothing more than a roadside cash grab with a KOA sign stuck out front. read more

Check in was relatively fast and easy especially for a holiday weekend. The pull-through sites are VERY close together, and it is awkward to have to ask another camper to move just so you can use the fire pit; really tight, and NO shade. The ameneties are nice. There is a camp kitchen, the restrooms and showers are clean, they have volleyball, putt-putt, fishing, bikes and lots of things for the kids to do. The camp store is big, and they have a lot to offer. The laundry room is large too with a small library of books for guests to borrow. The pool was awesome, but it was packed. There was only one spot where there was an umbrella and there was NO shade at all. The pool 'rules' were not enforced at all, they were over capacity, kids hanging on the rope, people having lunches, all sorts of things that were posted as not allowed. Firewood was $6/bundle, the most expensive we have paid so far this year. We asked for it to be delivered to the campsite and it was done almost immediately. We will definitely go back at some point, but we will ask for specific lots. read more

Really nice KOA. Huge store for shopping! Pond with fish in it. Lots of places for photo opportunity. The rv spots were good and shaded. I only have 2 complaints. 1 there was a weird noise that I kept hearing all night. Never figured it out. I almost think someone was running their generator? 2. The water smelled horrible! Like I can still smell it on me after a shower. Not sure what that is? Otherwise the employees were friendly and I would stay there again read more

Checked in during the week very nice and quiet. Campground manager was very nice. Had a treat bag for us and one for our furbaby. Campground clean, restrooms and showers also clean. NICE nature walk behind campground enclosed pet area , grass and trees by most of the campsites. Gravel roads and sites. Would imagine this place will be crazy in a few weeks but for now we found it quite relaxing. Close to Rv museum and many of Rv manufacturing factories. ,but think you need an appointment for a tour , we do touring Grand Design factory also close to many Amish shops read more

Really love this campground. We have stayed here several times with lots of our family (and this is over a 2 hour drive for us, sometimes with traffic 3-4 hours)! It's simple and sweet but has all the amenities you could ever need at a campground (stocked camp store, awesome swimming pool, palled boat, outdoor chess, bike rentals, rec hall, ice cream socials, other campground activities). Everyone is really kind and helpful from the owners, employees and neighboring campers. It is in a wonderful location, there is so much to do in ANY direction. Out of all the KOA's we've stayed at (and that is a lot, lol) this is definitely in one of the top spots. read more

When I go to a campground I like to put my card on file and dispense with the wallet. Apparently this KOA "has not learned to use the KOA System yet". I even made sure to tell them that they are losing money by swiping all the time. So for me personally that would be a reason not to return. They also have a $5 minimum on credit cards. Campground is just off a noisy road. All of the amenities are quite close to that road. After I paid for some wood to be delivered it took a second visit to the store to get the wood delivered. WiFi seemed to be over subscribed so forget doing any work on the free Wi-Fi. Pull through spots are way too close to each other and since they all have a fire pit the pit is too close to RVs once slides are out and everything. We had friends staying on-site in a cabin. Apparently the facilities were not very clean so we had to offer them the use of the shower and toilet in our trailer. So this site is very okay but not one I would go out of my way to stay at. I guess it does not mean you will not like it. Just wasn't for me. read more

We just arrived and so far I would rate greater than a 5! It's my birthday and it has been crappy from the beginning. Our 2.5 hour trip was over 4 due to construction and we arrived to find that our reservation was wrong. So after I was completely rude to Lori at the front desk she still did everything in her power to make me happy! No business is perfect but how they handle mistakes is what makes them great! We stayed at this KOA in May and had a really great experience. The owner and entire staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. We had some mechanical issues with our RV and they offered some good advice (and tools!) to help us fix them up and get on our way. The grounds were pretty and well maintained, the restrooms and showers very clean, the camp store fully stocked and various hangout areas throughout the property made for great outdoor walking and sitting options. Here at the KOA-Middlebury the restrooms and facilities are kept really clean. The bathhouse/restroom are even air conditioned which reduces the humidity usually found else ware. The space between the lots however is far too close. It gives a cramped feeling to the place. It of course rained for two days (no fault of the ownership :) ) which gave a more crammed in together feel to the place. The wifi service was dismal. Not in the signal strength department but in bandwidth. When you have a large number of guests, you have to invest in high speed service. For great stretches of time even a simple google search would time out the server. Good grief! read more

Been to many, many campgrounds over the years and have been to several worst that this, however, this was the worst KOA. Although the place is nice enough the person running the place, who I believe was the owner was not so nice. Made reservations in Feb. for 2 sites in Aug., 60 amp. Arrived to find no 50 amp sites available. Spent the first nite with 30 Amp that kept tripping all nite. Other reservation arrive late. That service box heated up so bad providing no power. They moved him to guess what, a 50 amp site. Flat out lied. Never again. Now realize too many other nicer campgrounds in the area to deal with that place again. read more

Checked in. The next day, water and electricity go out. Was attending RVTI classes in Elkhart. Waited 2 days and then asked if I could get my 1 month ($800) back minus the few days I stayed there. I was told by the blond lady at the desk that wouldn't be a problem, she had a list of people leaving to find appropriate accommodations and that we would get a refund to our original purchase method. After 10 days and no refund I called to speak to a irate manager. He said the lady upfront didn't know what she was talking about then began screaming in Indian at the top of his lungs. Then he said I have your money and your not getting it back. He then hung up on me. In short, the manager is totally insane crazy ( he's nice while taking your money), the blonde lady at the desk has no authority to tell you anything and this is the worst managed KOA I've stayed at while full timing for many years. We are full time RVers so we've stayed in many campgrounds. I must say this place is great, our stay was for 10 days. The property is well maintained and the motto here seems to be "ask and you shall receive". Hope, the owner and Nick, Hope's son and manager, are as friendly as they come. Employees are always around in the golf carts checking the grounds picking up anything on the grounds including your bagged trash, mowing and other work. They'll pick up, fill and return your propane tanks and they my just stop by for a short visit. Hoosier hospitality at its best. read more

We forfeited our deposit tonight in order to stay elsewhere. We are avid tent campers, but sometimes prefer more of the "creature comforts" than a state park offers. We reserved an electric/water tent site. It appears there are 3 good sites of this kind and the others are more like drawing the short straw. Of these one is a very cramped triangular site without room to park (site 49), and sites E and F are very close to the playground. We considered the primitive sites as a substitute, but those back up to the highway. I personally think it's more of a campground for various RV campers, but it felt too crowded and lacking privacy for my liking. read more
