This active group just raised $125,000.00 toward the upcoming exhibit at the Crocker Art Museum featuring works by Ruth Rippon. The group provides outreach to youth and seniors and sponsors a biennial fine craft exhibition. The annual Crocker Holiday Artisan Market (CHAM) is well known throughout the Sacramento area as a premier venue to shop for beautifully crafted works of art during the Thanksgiving weekend. They took her in, cleaned her up and by a glorious miracle found her a loving home. They really will help any animal they can. My experience adopting was equally impressive. They gave me a great head start with supplies and resources for our puppy, and even months later I can reach out to them with questions. They remember my puppy even over a year later love her just as much. We found an abandoned kitten in my back yard and Itsie Bitsie took her for us the next day no questions asked. They are in the process of cleaning her up and getting her out there for adoption. I was so impressed with them I even connected my boss with them to adopt a dog. All in all they are honest and they truly love what they do, I can't say enough good things about IBR.

She was kind, informative, helpful and an absolute blessing. Itsie Bitsie is my go to donation place for saving my kitten's kittens and not judging me for my ignorance. I rescue dogs, so this was a whole new world and while Kristen made it feel alright. The adoption fee is because their team to ask questions from us, and while my kitten is now spayed (thanks to resources provided by the rescue!) I'll absolutely recommend this place first because these animals are treasured before you even meet them.

United Against Hate Week (September 21-27) is a call for local civic action to stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. I am passionate about violence prevention efforts, and it was truly inspiring to see so many community partners come together to table, network, and raise awareness about racial and gender-based violence in the Asian American community. The event featured a film screening followed by a panel discussion accompanied by light refreshments. I'm grateful that Sacramento is participating in national, United Against Hate Week and actively engaging in rapid response planning to mitigate the impacts of an emergency like the Atlanta 2021 shootings. I left feeling more equipped and empowered to navigate my resources, and most importantly, report hate crimes and incidents when they happen.
