My family and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Daisy Creek Farms yesterday. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Entrance was easy - $1 per adult and we paid $5 for all you can eat for our little berry monster. Five varieties of blueberries. Easy to pick for toddlers and kids. The jumbo blackberries have no thorns and very little seeds. Both blueberries and blackberries are at peak right now. They provide the little buckets and also scissors for lavender. It is hard to find u-pick berries that is certified organic around the Sacramento area. It is especially difficult to get pesticides off fruits with no peel like berries. Fun outing for kids if you are looking for something to do on a weekend. There is no entrance or parking fee. They also provide buckets to pick and boxes for you to take the fruit home. They even provided child sized buckets for my child to hold herself. Daisy Creek is a really fun place to take kids! My son had a blast getting to eat blueberries straight from the vine (everything is organic). They have other fruit during different times of the year that you get to pick yourself so checkout their website for updated details. It was $5 for my son to eat what he picked from the vines and everything else you pick you get charged per pound to take home. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the fruit. The man and woman who run the farm were very friendly and are definitely proud of the business they started. I love supporting local businesses and this is a great family activity. My only idea for improvement would be to add more tables and shade so families can picnic. read more

Went to pick strawberries here last week and had a really good time. Strawberries were smaller than expected but that was because they are organic farmers which is one of the reasons why I chose to visit. They give you a bucket to collect the berries and a box to take them home. I recommend bringing gardening gloves if don't want to get your hands dirty. Price was really great and I would go back just for the good deal. Owner is nice and gave us a small tour and talked about what else had been planted along with some general timelines of when to come back for other fruits and veggies. The owner was very responsive via text message and gave me all the information. However, I've been planning to come here for weeks now and something always comes up and we end up not going...it's funny that I have even suggested this place to my coworker and he was able to go before me. well, finally with everything considered, I was finally able to take my kids here this past weekend. Awesome. A friend and I easily made an appointment during the week. We were the only families there, the owner was super friendly and the kids had a great time. Prices were great, and there was a variety of fruits. I could've bought way more to freeze and stock up for the summer if I'd have planned better. We did the all you can eat so we ate our way through the fields while we picked since the fruits are organic w no pesticides. My daughter had a blast carrying her little bucket running free...it was crazy hot which I didn't really think through, but I'd love to go back early, pick fruit, stop at a nearby winery for some shade, and have dinner at the really yummy pizza place we found in Galt w a little arcade for the kids. Kids and I really enjoyed picking strawberries at the farm. A very idyllic location. On one side of the strawberry patch is the owner's house up on the hill, and on the other side vineyards, fields, and you can even see the Sierras! Bountiful strawberries, easy to pick, delicious. Kids also enjoyed company of a very friendly dog. And we got some fresh duck eggs! There were good amount of ripe peaches. Some Blackberries (not a whole lot ready to be picked but they were really yummy). No restrooms on site.
