10 out of 10 highly recommend! Went for Mother's Day had a fantastic time! The young ladies at the stand were so helpful, sweet and friendly. The fruit was amazing. The fruit was delicious. Can't wait to go again. This will definitely be a new tradition for us.

What a hidden gem! We live in Carmichael and have traveled out to Modesto to pick berries for about 8 years now! This is a much closer option for us and so incredibly worth it. The $5 all you can eat option for the kids is great. My girls had an absolute blast and we can't wait to visit again.

Five varieties of blueberries. Easy to pick for toddlers and kids. The jumbo blackberries have no thorns and very little seeds. Both blueberries and blackberries are at peak right now. They provide the little buckets and also scissors for lavender. It is hard to find u-pick berries that is certified organic around the Sacramento area. It is especially difficult to get pesticides off fruits with no peel like berries. Fun outing for kids if you are looking for something to do on a weekend. They may only open certain hours so check their website for hours and updates before you go.

Highly recommend! Lots of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, plums, and more. We also did the eat as you pick option, which was super fun!

Amazing Organic food you can find here, Owner Jag is amazing human who genuinely love what he does and teach others on Youtube, we went there on Mother's day, they were pack with people and all the organic fruits, we end up buying 4lb of strawberries, 4lb of blueberries, and 2lb of cherries, all were amazingly delicious and tasted better the store bought one's, will be going back for peaches soon!!!

This was a very peaceful pleasant experience. Picking fresh blueberries and cherries, acres upon acres not to mention the strawberries organically so delicious. Young man that helped us was so kind, such a gentleman. We will definitely be back again. Well worth the drive!

My family and I went here last year to pick strawberries. We were pleasantly surprised by the large variety of fruit they offer! Plus everyone we have met (employee and owner) has been incredibly nice. They are happy to answer any and all questions and are transparent in their farming practices. The fruit was delicious and we are so excited to go again this year.

I love blueberries and so does my wife. We had too much fun!

We wanted to pick our own fruit so I did some searching around, finding various places charging as much as $20 per person to pick only strawberries to others who were not very friendly when I called - but discovered Daisy Creek Farms and fell in love with the entire experience. The only bummer was not finding them sooner so we could get more strawberries. But they're amazingly friendly, well prices and worth the drive. Family friendly, organic and beautiful location! Check them out!

What a beautiful little farm. Had the best Mother's Day. Will definitely be coming back! My daughter loved it soo much! Fruit is delicious!

There is no entrance or parking fee. They also provide buckets to pick and boxes for you to take the fruit home. They even provided child sized buckets for my child to hold herself. My daughter had a great time picking the blueberries and strawberries. How wonderful it is to enjoy food we trust! Check out their website for the "U-Pick" details and ripening chart. Jag is very kind, knowledgeable, and keeps the website updated. We will definitely come back.

We had a great time picking berries at Daisy Creek Farms! They have a great selection of organically grown produce. The berries are beautiful and delicious, and we all enjoyed the experience of picking our own. We definitely plan to come back. I'm so excited that we found this place and it's such a quick trip from Sacramento. :)

I highly recommend this farm for cherry season…read more I went today (Saturday, May 7), which was the first day of cherry season at John Podesta Farms. Why did I rate them five stars? Let's find out. 1 star = organization 1 star = price 1 star = variety 1 star = customer service 1 star = bathrooms Here's the longer version. **Organization** I love how organized they are. You start by visiting their website and getting yourself on the notifications list. Then, when summer gets closer, they send you an initial text gauging your interest. If you're still interested, you get a second text asking you how many people you plan to bring and how many pounds you plan to pick. Then your final text is your reservation with directions, the liability waiver, instructions like bringing a bucket and a ladder, etc. This is the most organized place I've ever picked fruit at. As an organized person myself, I was very pleased. The only piece of information they don't tell you in the multiple communications that would be helpful is that they open at 9am. So, I showed up at 8:15 and had to wait. **Price** Where else can you get cherries for only $2/pound? Nowhere in California that I know of. Even if you add the price of gas for the round trip drive, I bet they're still cheaper. As a reference, they ask you to bring a 5-gallon bucket (you know the ones they sell paint in when you have to paint a house), and if you fill that bucket to the top, it only costs $60. **Variety** I picked only bing cherries while I was there because I was on a time limit, and I didn't have time to frolic, but I know they have bings, rainiers, brooks, and corals. **Customer Service** The owner of the farm is so helpful, upbeat, and friendly. He's got a great vibe that just gets you in a good mood. You can tell he's passionate about the cherries, and that passion is contagious. **Bathrooms** I know, you're probably thinking, who gives an entire star for porta potties? Let me tell you who. The adult woman who has a bladder the size of a toddler's, that's who. And it's not just the fact that they have porta potties that makes me happy, but there's also a hand washing station with soap and paper towels to dry your hands. During a pandemic, that's a really nice touch, don't you think? (worth an entire star, amiright?) So, there you have it. 5 stars for this cherry orchard. I will definitely be back.

Now that my…read morethree youngest kids eat strawberries like they're candy and it was Mother's Day it seemed like the best time to go! Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! My kids enjoyed only for a short while and mainly wanted to stay in the kid area. There are also plenty of photo ops on the farm too! We would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend!

Being able to include her in picking the strawberries then taking them home to eat fresh off the vine was everything and more. On the day we went (reservation on a Saturday from 10-11am) the cost for adults was $12 per person. This includes a small basket per person. They offer 6 different varieties of strawberries, yup you read that right. I had no idea there were more than one variety, so this educational part was cool. The farm can get crowded and with this Sac heat, I highly recommend scheduling your reservation early and on a weekday. The farm is family owned and everyone is so nice. Would absolutely recommend this idea to families with your kiddos.
