As a 100% volunteer- and donation-run rescue organization, they truly go above and beyond--not only during the adoption process, but with ongoing support, guidance, and genuine care. You can clearly see how deeply they care about every animal and every family they place them with. They were always responsive, kind, and incredibly supportive whenever I had questions. Please read before adopting!! We have adopted from this rescue 3 times with no issues ever, they have been great! Unfortunately this last time has left a lot to be desired. They have now instituted a pre application and interview prior to adoption. Also at that interview you are approved for a specific pet......or so it seemed. I event went out of my was to ask if anyone else was approved for the animal and they said no. We went in right at noon and were third in line to meet our new addition. After waiting for 30 minutes we were told our animal was adopted by someone else. Shock!!! We were all ready to meet and take our new guy home but he was given to someone else who wasn't even there for that kitten! After asking about it is seems it's still first come first serve at this location and that you could be approved for general adoption for any animal as well. This information was not disclosed. Pretty heart breaking. This participial kitten was one that was returned by a family earlier in the week and the story was so sad. Be aware..... first come first serve still. The interview process is just a formality. You still have to be first in line even for a cat you are approved for and no one else is. Istie Birdie, please be more transparent to everyone. We were thrilled to adopt, and our new little bestie was clearly well cared for before we brought her home. We were given all the information and paperwork we needed, and our kitten also came spayed and up to date on all her shots. This rescue is absolutely one of the best you can find. I've adopted from other shelters and had problems with unhealthy kittens. However, Itsie Bitsie clearly goes above and beyond to not only save vulnerable orphaned kittens with an all volunteer crew and an organization completely donation funded, but they also make sure their kittens are healthy and 100% ready to be adopted before they ever leave their foster homes. I've heard people say their price for adoption is high, but if you breakdown the individual cost of everything they do to get the kittens ready for their new homes it's really a great deal and you have the peace of mind that you're starting out with a healthy kitten. If you're in the market to adopt a kitten, definitely go through this organization. They'll do right by you and you'll get a sweet new kitten to add to your family. read more

The animals are WAY overpriced. They get them from shelters so I suggest you bypass the middle man and go to the shelter. You can also have them spayed or neutered low cost. They do a good job selecting families but they take forever. Be careful with dealings with them. They will call other rescues and tell them not to adopt to you. The owner lives in another state so the people who operate it kind of do what they want and treat their fosters like crap. Highly insecure so don't show any superior areas, looks, finances, like children they have a problem with gossip and it's caused other organizations problems. I cannot and would not ever recommend them. There are far too many that do the same thing at Petsmart every weekend. read more

Applied to adopt a dog and got zero response, so messaged on facebook and they responded immediately and said the dog was still available, yay! I said I looked forward to hearing from them. In the meantime, my daughter was very excited about this dog. Still, zero response from them for days. No confirmation of application. Nothing. Finally emailed, called and texted, to get a generic response saying the dog had been adopted. I had asked for confirmation they got my application and got no response to that. I am a lifelong pet owner and have another rescue right now. The lack of response initially and then only finally getting a response to say the dog has been adopted is terrible service. Totally understand if someone else is interested in the dog, just have the common courtesy to respond and be kind to your fellow dog loving, dog rescuing community. read more

She was medically fragile as a young kitten and the rescue paid thousands to get her the medical care she needed to survive. I truly appreciate all the care and concern the amazing fosters in this organization have for the sweet kittens in their charge. Rescuing the smallest and most vulnerable kittens takes so much time, effort and money! This rescue is certainly a needed organization. We would adopt from them again and again! In 2019 I adopted a Russian Blue kitten from Itsie Bitsie Rescue. On the weekends they share some of their available rescues at Pets Mart on Fairway in Roseville. They provided a handmade blanket, spay/neuter and vaccinations. My adult son who is living with Schizophrenia, named him Vinney and he has officially become his emotional support cat.
