I needed someone to usher me through an incredibly complex, emotionally-fraught Trust real estate tax situation that had been in limbo for 21 years. The possible financial consequences to me were significant. Janet Fogarty was referred to me by a local financial adviser, and I have to say, she was an answered prayer. In late October of 2019 I met her for the first time, for an in-office consultation. Her manner was caring, focused, serious and utterly professional. She listened attentively, asked a lot of questions and took copious notes while I explained my situation. She then offered several scenarios whereby this problem could be solved. None of them a guarantee - but in that first visit she allowed me to see this was, in fact, a solvable problem. Unsurprisingly, this did not happen quickly as the wheels of bureaucracy, mired as they are in red tape, never move fast. So it took several months for this to finally be solved. She was very good about maintaining contact and keeping me apprised of the progress, which ended up coming to a near-halt in early March because of the pandemic. Yet, she persevered. In mid-April she called with the wonderful news that the issue had been solved, and to my very great advantage.
