Janet took care of all of the paperwork related to my real estate transfer. It was a relief for me to have nothing to worry about.

I always felt like Abbie had our backs, providing guidance throughout the whole process and negotiating with the sellers to get us a deal we were comfortable with. We've dealt with other agents in the past and Abbie stands out as being very business-oriented and professional. It also helped that she was a lawyer and was able to answer all our questions with the mountain of paperwork involved. I felt very confident that Abbie was handling our sale and purchase with the appropriate amount of attention to detail (that we don't have). If we ever decide to sell our current house we will definitely use Abbie again.

She explained her process while giving us a mini lesson on how and why the market ebbs and flows. Calmly and politely, she gave us her thoughts. Very helpful. That was months ago. Since she's been checking in on us periodically, and sending us monthly emails on the state of the RE market. They're informative and not written as if for RE professionals. So nice! As an aside, we are relatively new to the area, and have a new baby. She was kind enough to recommend a couple of good daycares, and didn't even blink when we asked her! In a nutshell, Abbie is just a great, kind lady. She's the sort of person you'd want in your corner whether or not you're in the housing market.

He was calm, practical, responsive, and gave very grounded advice during a stressful situation. What I appreciated most was that he clearly explained both the legal risks and realistic negotiation strategies instead of making unrealistic promises. He helped us navigate the dispute professionally and ultimately reach a reasonable resolution. I would definitely recommend him to anyone dealing with a real estate contract or escrow issue.

From our first conversation, it was obvious she was the right choice and someone I definitely wanted in my corner. I'm very happy to report that we recently crossed the finish line and resolved the matter successfully. Talking with Irene is like consulting a friendly encyclopedia, she has an incredible wealth of knowledge at her fingertips. She walked me through every step of the process, always clearly explaining our legal strategy and all available options in a way that gave me confidence that my interests were protected. Irene's paralegal, Bryce, was great, too. He was always very quick to respond and made document management, signatures, and everything in between easy for me. I'm very thankful that Irene and Bryce were able to resolve what was the biggest headache I've ever had as a homeowner!

Since the 2 stars (which equates to the "[service] could've been better") were due to the unprofessionalism and inattentiveness shown (not due to her being an LDA), I have no reason to change my rating or delete my review. TL;DR: Marizen is NOT a lawyer. She is a Legal Document Assistant that cannot provide you with legal advice. She is a significantly affordable option for a Living Trust but she is unprofessional and has poor attention to detail-- key characteristics that are paramount to detailing an important document. Details: I left a Living Trust inquiry via her site and Marizen emailed me back within 1 day to "text" her back for a scheduled over-the-phone consult. Upon speaking with Marizen it was clear she did not take the time to review the few questions I had sent her in my initial inquiry as she was confused as to what the consult would primarily be regarding. Her rates were significantly less than what other competing services were offering which raised an orange flag for me. Upon further research, I realized Marizen was NOT a lawyer, but rather a "Legal Document Assistant (LDA)." According to the CA Attorney General, LDAs cannot give legal advice. This was my first encounter with an LDA, which allowed me the opportunity to do the necessary research to make a more educated investment. Had Marizen gotten back to me with the necessary next steps and questionnaire as she had promised (it's been over 1.5 weeks), I may have considered her as a possible option to complete my Living Trust needs. But if you are looking for a more affordable option, perhaps Marizen is a good fit for you.
