She spoke with me on the phone a few times to walk me through the basics and explain the answers to my questions. She was very responsive over email as well. She gave me enough detail and was very thorough with her responses but never made me feel overwhelmed or like things were too complex. Ingrid let me know ahead of time she had a heavy workload and that it would take a few weeks to get back to me once I gave her all the required information. I had no problem with this as we weren't in a rush and she was very transparent. Once I filled out the packet and sent back all the information about our assets and accounts, Ingrid was able to create the estate plan within a couple weeks. We had very minor comments and feedback - so the edits were quick, and we were able to sign the documents a few days after that. Ingrid offered an option for them to print everything for us and they also acted as our notary and we appreciated the ease and convenience greatly. Then in the next 3 statements, they made more billing errors, which is very disappointing and frustrating. To be honest, John Kitta has never been in his office every time we visit in person for the past 6 months. It's just Ma Hwa and receptionist Jessie. I feel like he's biased on which case to handle. Plus they're willing to scam our fellow Asian clients who can't understand English well. Imagine the horror that my parents had to frequently drive over 3 miles to their office several times to correct and verify each statement. Then, they keep canceling and pushing our court dates to a different month while asking us for more money to pay for their costly mistakes and they never admit their wrongdoings. A lot of previous associates and receptionists have resigned from this company so therefore, it's just John N. Kitta. This law firm needs to be investigated and audited thoroughly. Additionally, all the clients, including my parents, should get their hard-earned money back for the mistreatment, injustice, and unsolved cases. She cut me off almost immediately, told me to stop explaining my situation, and demanded that I just get to the point about why I wanted the attorney. She then insisted--repeatedly--that attorney Derek Lim "wouldn't be able to help much" and could only "explain the potential consequences" of my case. For the entire five-minute call, she seemed far less interested in understanding my situation than in convincing me that no immigration attorney, Mr. Lim included, would be of any real use to me. At first I just thought she was rude and unprofessional. On reflection, the exchange left me with the impression that the office may not be well-versed in this kind of immigration matter--she didn't seem to grasp what I was trying to describe.
