If you have the ambition to become a flight dispatcher, this highly engaging course is the one you…read moreshould attend! It is doubtful that you will find any other dispatch school with individual attention for such a fair cost. I attended the class and now have my FAA aircraft dispatch certificate. Dave Northrop is the owner and lead instructor, along with two other instructors, Mike, a current dispatcher at American, and Rob, a recently retired ATC supervisor from Chicago Center. Having teaching experience, the instructors teach the course based on the latest methods used in the field. Having only four students in the class, we applied the classroom concepts with in- and out-of-classroom activities. Dave takes the time in his classes to individually care for each student. With his keen teaching ability, he knows when a student needs extra focus on a particular concept and provides specific attention. With plenty of patience, Dave and the other instructors ensure each person masters the material before moving on with the program. To successfully achieve an aircraft dispatch certificate, I highly recommend this type of interactive class structure. Once signed up, Dave provides study material to prepare for the ADX before the start of class. Studying and taking the ADX earlier helps in the achievement process. The school is in the west suburbs of Chicago. Refer to the school's website where you can find local hotels in Naperville, a quick 18-minute drive to the course at Aurora Airport. After passing the course, the ADX, and the practical exam, the school facilitates the job application process within the aviation industry.

I am giving 1 star because there is no option for zero. Also, somehow he filtered out negative…read morereview on google that is why no one can see it negative reviews and only positive reviews. All I have to say is stop with all the fake support guys (Kim, Emily, Jordan, Rob, Austin and Jacob). Just because you guys got the certificate it is not done. I knew what all of you guys felt and talked about and how this program was not it. Let's be real for the next potential students who are about to spend their hard earn money for this prpgram which will not even get them a job. First and foremost, do not come to this program if you are Black. Let me explain: I'm really upset and disappointed with Dave. From the very start, I just want to say that I felt uncomfortable with his comments, especially his offensive remarks about Black Americans. Hearing him say things like "Black people are making too many babies and over populating" was shocking and unacceptable, especially in 2024. Also, It was really unsettling when we all saw his YouTube searched and watched history whoch were filled with derogatory stereotypes about Black people getting high on the street somewhere in Tennessee. I don't know about how you guys felt but it really made me uncomfortable, and question his character, mindset and professionalism. Secondly, As I learned about Dave's background as a dispatcher and teacher for dispatcher, it left me wondering if he has ever received proper training in professionalism and teaching. The program cost me $5,000, and on the first day, his use of slurs and cursing left me feeling unsafe and disillusioned. I felt compelled to stay because I had traveled all the way from Virginia, but my gut instinct told me I was in the wrong place. Don't know what you guys felt about that. I expected something more professional. As a non-white Asian individual in the class, I was concerned. On the second day, Dave had the audacity to ask if I ate bugs in my country or things like if I watched porn on laptop. As I think about it, it was so so stupid ! And why did i even play along. Just wanted to say that this kind of ignorant stereotype and questions is not only outdated but harmful ! It's clear that he has not adapted to the evolving societal norms and continues to propagate dangerous ideas about people of color. Like i mentioned, he really really lack professionalism. I also caught that he did not asked nor talked to any of my classmates like that. I was the only person who he talked in that manner. Why? Also, If any of you decide to come to this program, be prepared to gets lot of gossip from that guy Dave. He will talked bad about you and others. He consistently spoke negatively about his current and previous students, making disparaging remarks about their behaviors, failures, and even their sexual orientations, yes their sexual orientations !! He have conflict with lots of his students to the point one student have to report him to the fed. But I am shocked to see here in Google review, it seem like everyone is supporting him. Cut the fake support guys, I 100% know how you guys felt during that program. I don't know why everyone become supportive. To top it all off, Dave has a quick temper, especially when he isn't using tobacco. It was disturbing to see him lash out at students, often yelling in frustration, creating a hostile environment that made learning really uncomfortable. So, the final straw came when the representative from the Federal Aviation Administration who administered the final exam mentioned that Dave had not covered critical materials like ETOPS and Aircraft Electrical Systems. He noted that this was a pattern he had seen with other students and said he would talk to Ben about the situation. This confirmed my fears about the lack of proper instruction and professionalism in the program. Dave is not fit and the fed guys said it all. My experience in this program was definitely bad and I feel regretful for my decision to enroll. I would strongly advise others to reconsider attending this program, forget about respectful, professionalism, and inclusive learning environment, he don't have any. He don't learn those.
