I recently had my bridal shower here at Elli Banquet. My event turned out amazing, but there are some things to be warned about before booking. Pros: Food was amazing. Also, the server helping me throughout was great! Kate did all that she could and constantly checked in with me and asked if I needed anything. Event space is beautiful, modern, and spacious. BIG Con: Be VERY AWARE of how much you are going to spend and how much the owner is charging. I was told a certain price and ended up paying more with no explanation. I was only left with a vague receipt. I am still waiting for emails and explanations. read more

I just had an event there for my daughter's 18th birthday. Everything seems ok. The food was great. Our pre-event meetings are doing well. They are helpful. But during the event itself, i didn't know that the dessert, Tiramisu was not served! The guests are already heading home when a guest informed me it was not served because servers were waiting for my go signal. But there was no such agreement and they could've asked me. So they served the Tiramisu while guests are all standing up and some went home already and according to some of my guests who stayed long, they think, only 30 Tiramisu servings were served when I in fact reserved for 100pax. It was the only food I ate that night because I was busy. Too bad, the Tiramisu tastes good! They should've taken the initiative to serve it! read more

I was absolutely EMBARRASSED having invited so many people to Armen's scam of a hall. I have never seen more irresponsible management. It was the WORST service and food I have ever experienced. My family and I essentially had to manage the hall for him and STRESS the entire time instead of enjoying our event. We were shocked at his level of incompetence and are furious that he ruined this day for us. As the owner of a hall accommodating to such a large party, we as guests shouldn't have to feel or know of an absence of staff and ARMEN as an OWNER of that hall should step in and help the staff when he's needed, not have us as PAYING CUSTOMERS step in and manage his shit show of a hall/restaurant. It's extremely unprofessional that my mom had to constantly pull his ONE waitress aside who was accommodating to a 60+ party, and WE had to tell her to open wine , remind her to set the table to make sure our guest have food to eat while ARMEN was hiding in the kitchen. He had the audacity of ignoring my mom when she was trying to talk to see what's going on. We were promised food on the table at 12pm but were told the chef quit and that theres no food an hour into the event!!!! They mustered up a tragedy of a meal that wasn't even enough to feed HALF the party and set the tables at 2pm so my guests were left confused and hungry for 2 hours. Mind you it was a 3 hour event!!! My sister had to constantly pull guests in and out of the hall to accommodate for one of his pinnochio customers when Armen should be the one making sure that 60+ party has enough room to park at his own hall rather than us having to constantly stop the party and do his job for him. What's worse is that ALL OF A SUDDEN all this staff shows up when it's time to clean up. WHERE WERE THEY DURING THE EVENT???? DO NOT waste your money or time with this establishment. They ruined a day in my life that I will never get back. read more

We had the welcome dinner the night before our wedding here. We were looking for a classy venue close to our wedding venue at NOOR in Pasadena with space for over 150 people, but without having to spend a fortune. Cons: Armen isn't the most organized guy, and it can be hard to get a hold of him and his new manager Kate at times. A lot of this I think can be attributed to the fact that they are a brand new business trying to grow rapidly and are low on manpower. Additionally, the microphone either wasn't charged sufficiently or didn't have a strong enough Bluetooth signal early in the night for some of our speeches. Probably something they will fix right away for the next event. Pros: Because of the difficulty of getting a hold of them at times, we were a bit nervous going into the event about whether they would deliver. However, when we got to the space 45 minutes before the event start, the venue was visually stunning. The marble backdrop they have is really a great centerpiece to the venue that works well with many different aesthetics. As others have noted, their food is fantastic, and I'd like to particularly acknowledge the Chicken Marsala and Tiramisu, both of which are on the shortlist for best I've ever had. All of our guests were similarly wowed by the food, and we got many compliments. (Food was one area we were not worried about ahead of time given how good each of our meals at Pinocchio's have been). As good as the food and aesthetics were though, the standout quality of the event, was the service. The bartender and the waitresses catered to our every request quickly with a big smile. They really put their heart and soul into the entire operation, like it was a wedding of their own immediate family member. All in all, if you want to book an event here, I think you better hurry, because I imagine spots are going to fill up fast given how good the events are and how reasonable the prices are. read more

Elli Banquet was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We had the Italian food, which was fantastic. Several different courses were available to us at a great price. We provided our own bar and bartenders, but that was good for us in the long run. The waitstaff was great and they took great care of us and our guests. Management was flexible with our needs, we were able to access the venue with no problems. Arman took care of all of our last minute questions and needs with no issues. I went here for a birthday party. To all the parents: there is no baby changer in any of their 3 restrooms!!! It was hard to change my baby's diaper. Just be prepared to bring a stroller or change them on the table/chairs. We got our appetizers late after every table got their appetizers. They should serve the kids first but kids got their food after all the main entrees were served. Servers were nice and friendly. read more

We confirm the menu, tables, linens, lighting, screen, and speakers. Armen and Kate were very accommodating and available. We chose the Italian menu, which had appetizers, pastas, fish, chicken, steak, dessert, soft drinks, and coffee. The food was delicious. I later received calls from family members and friends saying that the food was amazing. Everything from booking the venue to coordinating the table and chair setup before the event to the service by the staff was perfect. Overall 5 stars because I had a great experience. I hosted my baby shower here and we went pretty "big" as it's our first baby and we had to postpone our wedding. We hosted 175 guests made up of family and friends and everyone expressed to us that they had an amazing time and that the food was delicious. Most guests even asked how we found this place because it was a hidden gem to them. We did a buffet style so that guests could come serve themselves as they pleased without having to feel forced to sit at a table and deal with the lag time of getting served. We divided our guests into two groups (morning + afternoon) 11:00am-6:00pm. The first half went okay and the second half went smoothly (probably worked out all the kinks from the first half, haha). I really appreciated the open space (it's quite large considering the photos may or may not look small to you) and I loved that I was able to fully design how I wanted the tables to be etc. The flexibility of booking was a wonderful thing to me. Lastly, a few improvements I highly encourage for Armen + Kate are and would dock a star for, but it's all good...I get that business must be busy for them and they may be short staff: communication! I wasn't stressed about anything regarding my baby shower because I began planning at least 6 months in advance....but the night before my baby shower I still hadn't heard from them regarding confirmations and answers to any questions/concerns I had that I addressed weeks prior. I met and toured with Armen initially, but ended up communicating with Kate to confirm, but response was slow. Although Kate and Armen when I met them on the day-of were very attentive. Also just planning in advance, they were mopping the morning of when my vendors arrived to set-up and although I completely understand if it was a late night and they needed to finish cleaning the morning after...it was dangerous for my vendors and self. I actually slipped and landed on my butt + hands (thankfully) and I'm totally OK (honestly I was laughing), however, if that happened to any of my guests or vendors, I'd totally be upset and embarrassed that. Also, there was only 1 trash can available for the whole venue so I sent a family member to buy more trash cans for us to place around. Parking options on a Sunday were amazing. I believe that Sundays in Pasadena around there are free, but of course always read for signs. There's also a side lot and another lot adjacent to the venue. I've had Pinocchio's next door and their food is good, but Elli banquet's food was AMAZING!! (we went with the Italian option for our shower). 3 total restrooms available for guests: men, women, and gender neutral. read more

My experience at Elli was nothing less than excellent! I met with the owner a few months ago and it was a very smoothly. The hall is absolutely stunning and the food is just perfect! I highly recommend this hall for any event, especially if you like Armenian style with food on the table but yet not the same old Armenian food.
