My wife and I had our wedding reception at Anoush and it went perfectly!! Haik and his team were absolutely amazing and made sure everything was perfect! Throughout the planning phase we called him many times and each time he would answer all of our questions with patience and assure us he would take care of everything. And yes Haik went above and beyond and made sure everything was how we wanted it! He is also very open and honest during all phases of the planning prior to the event! We had multiple meetings with Haik prior to the wedding. He was able to recommend vendors, help us develop a floor plan, and design our wedding. Everything from napkins to the lighting was picked by us with the help of Haik. We were also able to set up a tasting day so we could try the food. The food was absolutely amazing. We received many compliments about the hall and food from our guests. They are very generous with their portions and no left hungry. We had close to 300 guests and the wedding venue easily accommodated that size. We had a magical evening and everything went so well thanks to Haik and his team. Anoush has the best wedding food I've ever had, and pyrotechnics during the first dance -- wow! When we sat down, the table was full of starters, and the main courses just kept coming. Everything had really good flavor, from the hummus to the salads to the kebab. The hot pastry was amazing! The space itself is great with plenty of room around the tables. Had my wedding at Anoush Glenoaks almost two weeks ago and we literally planned it in 6 months. Haik was super communicative and easy to work with throughout this process and very down to earth! The day of was fantastic, our hall manager of the night was Avo and he did not disappoint. He said his goal was to ensure our wedding was the most magical night and he delivered! The food was incredible, all our guests kept talking about how delicious everything was. With dressing up the hall, we did minimal decor because of how beautiful the hall is on its own, but it's cool to know they offer draping and more as part of an add-on. That being said, we did choose the sparklers and fog machine through the hall, and it made things so much easier, one less vendor to work with! We had the best experience with Haik and Glenoaks. I need to start with Haik- he is what truly made this experience so special and spectacular. We felt taken care of from the very start. Haik was communicative, answered our every call and every question, was kind, patient, and generous. He is truly what sets Glenoaks apart from the other ballrooms in LA. My husband and I mention him every time we reminisce on our wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better teammate when planning such an important event. Now let's get into the details: Venue: it goes without saying that the venue is beautiful, even more so when draped. There were so many ways to customize the layout to accommodate our vendors and tables. Food: the best. This is originally why we went with an Anoush location. They are simply the best caterers when it comes to wedding venues- nothing else compares. We opted for a mix of traditional middle eastern food and modern American dishes and everything was perfect. Our tasting before the wedding was one of our favorite parts of the planning process. There is so much food that we decided to put menus on the table because we wanted people to know we had more options coming and not to get full too early! You can also take home some leftovers if you want when the event is over! I love the option to save wonderful food instead of throwing it out. Bar: we opted to keep the bar inside and loved the selection of high quality liquors. We wanted to do a speciality drink that is my own recipe and I was able to bring those mixers- that flexibility was extremely important to us. The bartenders were fast, professional, and kept the lines short all night even though we had 300 people in attendance. Parking: we did valet parking and covered it for our guests. No complaints! Outdoor space: originally we were worried about not having enough outdoor space for our large party for cocktail hour but that fear was diminished quickly. We had a large coffee bar in the outdoor space and still had room for our guests to sit, drink, and eat the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. The sitting is important- we wanted to make sure our older guests and those in heels had the option to sit down, and Glenoaks made that possible with cocktail table chairs, benches, and lounge furniture. Pro tip: keep your cocktail "hour" to 30 minutes so guests don't get tired of waiting outside! Sound system/ lighting: a lot of venues we toured had bad sound systems and lighting options. Pay attention to this. Thankfully we did not have to worry about bad sound at Glenoaks- it was perfect. Lighting was also very important to me and George, the manager, did an amazing job from start to end. Spotlight was on during special dances, soft light for dinner, and dimmed/ colorful lights during the party. It is SO important to the ambiance of the event and it was truly executed perfectly. Service: the service was excellent- staff was kind, attentive, and quick, and that's all you can ever ask for. They kept the food on the table as long as possible, which is great when your guests stay on the dance floor! They also brought us drinks from the bar to the sweetheart table, which we loved as the bride and groom. Overall, it was a perfect event in large part because we chose the perfect venue. We got nonstop compliments in the weeks following and we truly owe it to Haik and the team at Glenoaks for being exceptional from start to finish. We recently hosted an event at Anoush Glenoaks. We cannot do justice in stating how exceptional and top notch everything was from the moment we looked at the place with Haik. After our first meeting with Haik my wife looked at me and said "I'm not worried about anything, we're in good hands." (I was ready to commit to the place ten minutes into our meeting) Haik was available for anything we wanted to ask him and was meticulous in his preparations, asking all the right questions, making suggestions and accommodating all our requests. Now let's talk about the food... OH...THE... FOOD!!!! It was beyond delicious; the presentation was flawless and boy oh boy it just kept coming! So many choices too depending on your tastes. Also, Haik et al were able to accommodate our dietary requests, vegan, vegetarian etc. (Many dishes are or can be prepared plant based if you so wish.) Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful everything was and we agree! And we really appreciate how accommodating and kind George, the event manager that night was too by the way. And at the end of the evening, I was preparing to pack my car up with gifts, flowers etc but the wait staff kindly packed it for me. They also included left overs sealed with tin foil. I've been in a few times in the last few years and I must say the place is just great. The only fault really is the Annoying valet parking which is an outrageous $18 but the food and service are top-notch for Armenian venues; this is as good as it gets in terms of food very good variety and most of it is very flavorful and fun to eat, unlike a lot of these places that just seem to mimic one another and suck. The wait staff was really the best I have ever experienced from the servers to the valet staff. amazing! Last but not least, Haik. Haik was the MVP. From the minute we met when we visited the venue, he was very welcoming and accommodating, He worked with our budget and provided recommendations. He was there for us. all along the way, answering questions, providing alternatives or accommodating everything we asked for. He patiently responded immediately every time I asked questions and eased my mind at times I panicked from the stress of planning this event. The day of the party, he was there tending to our vendors when i could not be present and providing support throughout the evening. Haik gets 100 stars from us. In all, I HIGHLY recommend this venue. After countless of venues we toured we ended up at LA Banquets Glenoaks Ballroom and I am sooo glad I booked my wedding here! FOOD: Honestly the food itself was a HIT! the amount of compliments by husband and I got from our guests were insane! They all enjoyed the food and spoke highly of it. As a bride and groom the day is so much for us and we wish we were able to enjoy the food a little more. Highly suggest taking some alone time to eat the food. lol VENUE SPACE: The venue space is beautiful and you do not need much decor. The ballroom is perfect. I only provided florals and a few decor our welcome table since everything else we needed was already there. MANAGERS: Haik and George were AMAZING! I had my wedding here ok the 24th of July and the whole experience with this venue was amazing. My wedding was scheduled last minute so I only had less than 2 months to get everything ready and the ballroom reservations was one of the smoothest processes and least i was worried about. My culture is very conservative and we required special meals, separation of genders and extra special drinks and a violin lady and Haik accommodate all of these requests. The only thing they didn't have a long knife for the cake and the cake table was wiggling a bit. Overall, am very happy for this experience and my guests enjoyed their time and the food. I coordinated a wedding just last night at the Glenoaks Ballroom, and the entire team, led by Haik, Ed and George were amazing from start to finish! I worked with Haik in the weeks leading up to the wedding and he was highly responsive and communicative, which is key working in partnership with any venue. The ballroom was very helpful and flexible with set up, rehearsal and on the day of, Haik, Ed and George were all present and available offering lots of accommodations for last minutes changes that, no matter how much you try to prevent, do happen! Their team runs like a well oiled ship, and there seem to be 1000 hands on deck! Service ran quickly and smoothly, and any request was quickly met with action. Our schedule changed a bit, and there was zero issues with accommodation. Although I wouldn't recommend schedule changes at the last minute, it does happen and this team handled it with no qualm!
