As I've been a fan of Ellianos for years, it's good to visit a location that didn't exist back when I was here a few years ago. Of course, I had my usual expectations of this spot, as the one on Lane Ave was the go-to spot back then. Well, it's great to see that even at this location on Blanding Blvd the same high standards and excellence in service and product still remains! There is more coffee competition in JAX for my faves at Ellianos and Brass Tacks, which I welcome. Competition makes companies work hard to produce superb products and satisfy customers or eventually go out of existence. First, the gentleman who took my order gave stellar service and courtesy. When I ordered my two lattes, I asked about getting my order added to the former app system, which, unbeknownst to me had ceased. Well, he quickly assisted me in getting the Ellianos app into my iPhone while I waited for my coffees to be prepped. We got it done and I even got a $5 discount because of it!! AWESOME! Well, after my ride to the west side, it was good to get a refresher here. The white and dark chocolate lattes were excellent. You'll only always will get excellent service and product at Ellianos! This location is highly visible from the road, looks great from the outside. As it is a drive-thru, we don't get to see what it looks like on the inside of the small facility. If they changed the way they make their freezers, I'll remove the review. I love Ellianos and get the freezers typically. I mobile ordered today and it was filled with whipped cream at the bottom. I was going to drink it but decided to wait to see how much whipped cream they actually put in the cup. I've been eyeballing this place since their announcement in January to open another location in town. So when I saw local Yelper (and Party Animal), Debbie F checking into this shop, it further validated to me that they are finally open. I love Ellianos Coffee, but their first location on the west side of town is just too too FAHH. That's my Asian Northern accent for "FAR" folks. As a matter of fact, the first thing I did was calculate the driving distance between the first location and the second location. With that said (drum roll please)....I'm now shaving a whopping 7 miles one way driving to this new location...Winner, Winner...I'm such a Caffeinator!!! Okay, okay...onward to their coffees. No faceless order board with sound issues but a real person. It better than Starbucks and Dunkin (I'll never repeat that again)..I've had the Caramel Latte Freezer and it is --hands down-- better that a Frappuccino. Today I tried the bacon egg and cheese on an Everything bagel. Not only does it look amazing, it tastes even better. It's clear they don't cut corners on the ingredients. Sometimes bagels are to crunchy on drive-thru sandwiches, not here. Pillowy goodness with the perfect amount of crunch. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the cheese WAS NOT a Kraft single--which, in 2021 fast food, is a miracle, I feel. We enjoyed this little drive thru coffee shop! You can't go inside, but instead you can pull up on either side of the building to order from the window! We got a blackberry frozen lemonade, my daughter wanted to try it cause the picture showed it was a pretty lavender color but when it came out it was pink and didn't look like the pic at all! And super tart, oh no not my thing! I'm not a tart fan! She said it was ok. This has been my go-to coffee shop when I am near the Cassat/Lane area. I don't see it on the menu, but asked them to make me a caramel macchiato. Not traditional like Starbucks or super sweet, but good. I also like the many variations in syrups. Anything you can think of, they can probably make it. I've always wanted to try this cute little shop when I passed by but never had the opportunity to. The lines may look long but it moves fairly quick. I like that they conveniently have a QR code to scan in the further back of the line so you can take a look at the menu ahead of time but you don't actually order until you get to the window. We ordered the Tuscany toffee (frozen) and it was $5-6. If you pay with a card, they'll ask if you want to add tip and I'm an awful person & swore I had cash when I had actually ran out so make sure you have cash before you decline because it was too late to add tip. I felt awful because the workers were so nice and amazing. They even gave us a frozen dolce that they accidentally made for free. Anyways, onto the drinks.. The drinks were both super good! Only thing is it was a bit too sweet for us but nothing we can't ask to change next time. Biggest perk is that their drinks were blended sooooo smooth, not icy at all whereas at Starbucks, you have to ask for it double blended. Would love to come back & try other options. read more
