About a year ago I got metal inside my smoothie. Drank some before noticing and upon pouring it out this is what I found inside. I went to doctor and got x rays done and they found metal substances in my scans. I would be careful ordering from this location. And check smoothies before drinking. I had a craving for Tropical Smoothie Cafe yesterday so I was going to order it and have it delivered. Once it was in my cart and I discovered that it was going to be twice the price I changed my mind and just drove to the restaurant. Once there I was greeted by a very nice young lady who was just as surprised as I was that having it delivered was going to be so expensive. I ordered the Jerk Chicken wrap with jalapeno corn with a mocha madness smoothie. The wrap was very spicy and good. Just the right amount of chicken, rice, beans and sauce. The jalapeno corn was amazing. I loved it. Of course the smoothie was good as well but there were so much ice in it I couldn't drink it with a straw until it had melted quite a bit. Just a suggestion on the smoothie to blend it a little more so it's able to be consumed before it starts to melt a lot. All in all, it was a good experience. read more

Disappointed in the lack of food safety, I was waiting for my smoothie and the young staff while waiting on customers and making orders chose to handle their cell phones and worry about the zit that was on their face by touching it and handling the product. No gloves, no washing their hands and seems to make you think that Servsafe certification is not an option In their training. Cross contamination is a serious issue and management needs to correct these problems before it's noticed by other customers. read more

This is usually my favorite location. But today I ordered from Oakleaf (so I thought) as I was headed to get my kid from daycare. But because I was closer to blanding it changed it "for my convenience"... well I realized this when I was standing in Oakleaf location. So I called blanding to cancel my order and let the guy know what happened. I got a flamboyant and sassy "UGHhHH Lord!!!" And I'm confused so I just wait and then he asks me "is it to inconvenient for you to just come and get them?! Because they're already made I can't just, CANCEL It..." I was so shocked by how rude he said it to me I literally just told him to give them to his employees because YES it is very inconvenient to drive 30 minutes for smoothies from a d!(k head employee that answers the phone with so much attitude and doesn't even attempt to be helpful. Just ordered the Chipotle chicken club and literally had 1/2 of 1 oz of chicken in the middle of it the size of a very small French fry. I got the chicken pesto flat bread and a smoothie. I got it to go. When I got home I realized they forgot to put my kale and apple slaw in my bag. I used to love tropical smoothie! They have fell off over the years! Had my order messed up twice in a row on two separate occasions. Sandwiches came cold not toasted and the smoothies were watery and earthy like a juice and not a smoothie. Orders were picked up on time on both occasions. Also, they raised their prices over the years and every time I get a wrap or bowl it seems that the wraps are smaller than what is advertised and not worth the $7.19 they charge for it. You're better off going somewhere else and getting multiple and bigger wraps for that price. read more

I've been a regular customer for a few months. The food and smoothies are fine and never had any problems with service until Friday, 4/8/2016. I placed a food and smoothie order for dine-in. The food arrived promptly, but no smoothie. I waited. 2-3 customers came in after me and they all promptly received their food and smoothie orders to go. No one behind the counter was making my smoothie order. I walked up to the counter and presented my receipt to verify I ordered a smoothie and never received it. The Hispanic or Middle Eastern employee at the counter appeared as if he was a deer caught in the head lights and instead of apologizing for what happened he started to make excuses and offered a less than sincere apology without making the smoothie I ordered. Another employee started to hurriedly make the smoothie. The smoothie arrived. I left the premise with the smoothie to enjoy on the way home, but the smoothie was awful. I was very bitter and I'm guessing it was rushed resulting in an awful taste and flavor. It is the same smoothie I usually order (Detox Island). I called the location and spoke with a shift leader who knew me as a regular. I explained what happened. I was told to come back (the next day/to my convenience) and they'll provide another one at no charge. I went back on Saturday, 4/9/2016. I brought back the smoothie to make a point and presented my receipt. The young lady working the counter was dismissive of the receipt and provided me a replacement smoothie, but she copped a bit of an attitude. At this juncture, I will not be coming back to this location anytime soon let alone recommending this location given this recent experience. read more

I have never been so disappointed in my life. The Tropical Smoothie at this location closes at 9pm on the sign, but they really close at 8pm. They served me up a Disappointment smoothie. The one night I am in the neighborhood and of work early, they are closed. Maybe they should change the sign so smoothie lovers like me can save our $5 and our disappointment. read more
