My experience was exactly the opposite of several other reviews. I had the best experience ive had…read moreat an obgyn since moving to MD. I was ignored and abused at KP before finding a new place. Luckily I did not read the reviews here before making my appointment here because either things changed since they were written or people based everything on one bad reception experience and not on the dr care. I felt so different like i was finally seen here where at other places i was put off, bounced around and received conflicting information. Ive only been twice and attended a support group talk that i was very excited to be invited to as i was in dire need of real information without being inundated with commercial angles or any BS. So far I am very happy with this clinic and found it clean, personable, professional and the fact that they spent so much time with me to hear my overwhelming case history was a pleasant surprise. I assume its why they suggested her group to me. I will be returning there and also very interested in utilizing her free menopause support podcast / zoom group again since i have no family or friends to speak with plainly. I found the doctors detailed medical info very much on the nose with what i needed to know and the shared antidotal info (from other patients) was extremely helpful during this trying time. It was such a great feeling to hear with all my symptoms my quality of life was important and any uncomfortableness i am feeling is not an overreaction in anyway! It was very nice to have the option of such a practical tool while i am struggling most - especially from non-judgmental woman who really listened and clarified so many questions I had. And no i am not a shill. I do not work for her and was not paid for this review. I am just thankful to finally get help instead of hurt worse like KP did. Such stress relievers here at this office! Id honestly suggest other clients giving them a 2nd chance. And if they can find better id really like to know where instead of complaints! Btw i just realized this is her 2nd location where i visited the Columbia office so maybe thats the issue.

Let me start by saying I knew there was a reason I didn't come back!!! A few years back I was…read morelooking for an OB/GYN doctor in Columbia, Md. because I was interested in tubal ligation, I came across Women's Wellness, scheduled an appt and saw Dr. Okasi- we talked about my medical history and got into tubal ligation, she stated that at my age (mid 30's) it would be a higher risk for me to get TL and how it could cause more damage to me and although she would not perform TL on me she would refer me to a doctor with more experience in that area who could probably help me. I took her word (afraid of risk) fast forward 2026 I'm 43 feeling very fatigue, brain fog, unexplained headaches etc. I expressed how my body had been feeling off one day at work and my supervisor suggested that I see a hormone specialist as she had been experiencing some of the same symptoms and found out she had a hormonal imbalance so I should look into because regular blood test will not show hormone levels there are specific test. I look for hormone specialist in Columbia, md and come across Women's Wellness , schedule appointment, get there and realize I had been here years prior but what the heck I'm here for a new issue. I wasn't seen by Dr. Okasi initially but the provider that I had did listen and we talked and she let me know my next steps, what test would be ordered and some other options I could take in regards to abnormally heavy menstrual cycles that I have been experiencing. I go through all test and exams it's time for follow up visit (telehealth) Once the appointment starts I notice a different doctor ( Dr. Okasi) and I'm a little thrown off because I expect it to be the provider I saw or be advised who would be going over my results with me prior to appointment ...anyway Dr. Okasi starts talking about my appointment years ago tubal ligation small talk but her cell phone rings ,she tells me one sec mutes and takes call...I sit on video just watching and waiting as she converses. When she's done she starts in on hysterectomy and ablations and how with my previous medical history ablation is off the table (c-section) and as far as a hysterectomy "she's not gonna do a hysterectomy on me and then I come back to her talking about she messed up this and that" I was a little taken back because that's exactly how she said it! " with your scar tissue your bladder is probably all the way up in there and can be affected during procedure" I'm looking and thinking wht the heck is going on, she proceeds to say you should take birth control pills to control some of the bleeding get an IUD ..I say " I've had in the past and had to have it removed because it wasn't good for me her response "get it again" ...huh?! or take the pill ....I'm literally starring and she says I'll give you a referral to another doctor ...referral reason says pt wants hysterectomy for bleeding..... not pt has fibroids, possible perimenopausal...etc. Ma'am, did my labs read normal? She did not go over the specific test, ranges ..a little high on the cusp nothing just said I know you see the internet talking about hormone imbalance but that's not real ... I said so your saying with all the symptoms I'm having it's normal? Your B12 is extremely high ...I ask why am I so tired still then ...so your saying all my test were normal? again she never really answers but says your blood work is like the bloodwork of a woman who's had a baby and lost a lot of blood ..... again!! Is that normal? Just take birth control pills you're gonna feel so much better and get an iron infusion. This whole appointment felt unprofessional, I left confused, questions unanswered, things unexplained just a mess ....literally the whole time my mind was racing and telling me never comeback here again. Her whole demeanor was so off putting. just eewww, money waisted Never again!

Imagine my stress when moving and looking for a new GYN after recently having a baby. I started with this practice in 2013. I've seen both Dr. Rogers and Dr. Scartiscini (and his daughter, the NP). Dr. Scartascini is gentle, humble, very smart, and probably approaching retirement. He is well liked and it's easy to see why. He has a lot of cultural competence and I appreciate that. Dr. Rogers...well, he seems a little prick-ish, but I like him. His demeanor can be somewhat like 'ewww...I don't wanna touch vaginas' but he takes you into his office and THOROUGHLY explains everything in detail with tons of options. I think he's better as a researcher or professor (not patient facing). The Greenbelt office is old, small, parking is horrific and it doesn't feel like somewhere you'd want to be. Bowie office is behind the Bowie health center near the shopping center where Macy's, etc is. Not a bad location, but the building is just odd. New construction appearance but a closed floor plan. Makes it feel secluded and not a lot of access to natural light. It's a little scary walking up the stairwell to the second floor. Eekk. The biggest problem with this practice is THE PRACTICE. The staff is horrible, the wait time on the phone is horrible, the wait time for appointments is horrible, the disposition of the staff is horrible......I do NOT see how people deal with this.
