The daycare director is also very friendly, approachable and hands-on with the kids. As a parent, when you see your child excited each day to go to daycare and see her teachers and friends, that is all the proof that you need that the daycare is excellent. I can't tell you how lucky we are to have found a daycare so good right near our place and we have no reservations whatsoever in sending our second daughter there when my wife goes back to work.

The school has a warm family feel, so our children adjusted very easily. The teachers are great, and work closely with the students to help them achieve their full potential. My daughter graduated from the Casa (senior kindergarten) program in June, reading at a grade 2 level and had been introduced to grade 3 mathematics concepts. In September, she entered into a grade one French immersion program. Because Westbrook also introduces the kids to French, it has been a very easy transition for her. She took with her the drive for learning, and has progressed to reading chapter books, and writing her own stories. My son, loves Westbrook and shows a very keen interest in school. At 3, he's already recognizing short words, and enjoys books and counting. His learning style is very different from his sister's, but the teachers work with him in a way that works for him. Because it's a family oriented school, the Principal there, is very open and fair with the students and parents. As a parent, there's nothing like sending your to school knowing that they are safe and happy. My husband and I have been extremely happy with Westbrook, and always recommend it to friends and family who are looking for a great school for their children.

I went to the Kipling location to sign up my child for a program for first week of Jan. I went for…read morean interview with JOANNE. She seemed okay and I liked the school because it was an accredited Montessori. So I wanted to enrol my child as soon as possible. She told me that she will let me know if there was any available space for Jan. she told me to call a week after the interview and I did, she said she still doesn't know what's going on and to give her some more time so I gave her another week and called her and she said she still had no clue what was going on and she would call me as soon as she finds out. Anyways long story short, I had called her 4 times and left 2 messages she never returned any of my calls. Which I find is very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!! If you run a proper Montessori school which parents would like to enrol there children and pay you to teach them, wouldn't you at least have the common curtsey to call a parent back and let them know what's going on ? She never called me back. If she can't call you back on a simple yes or no answer that shows me she is not running a proper Montessori school that I would like to enrol my child in. So I definitely do not recommend this school for any parent. There are many out there and I would like to enrol my child in one where they care rather then not care!

Instead of being a place of growth and encouragement, the school created an atmosphere of fear, exclusion, and constant judgment. A teacher, Rory consistently singled me out in ways that felt unfair and humiliating. The leadership under the principal, Janice, only made things worse -- the administration fostered an environment that was punitive rather than supportive, and students like me were left feeling isolated and diminished. The impact of this experience has stayed with me long after, which says everything about the culture of this school. I would strongly warn families to reconsider before sending their children here.

She started at Linden in junior high school with average grades and a perception of herself as an average student who struggled in various subjects. She left Linden with top grades across all subjects and a perception of herself as someone who could do anything she set her mind to. She went on to attend the University of Toronto and graduated with an Honours Degree with Highest Distinction. I will always be grateful to the Linden School. This school had a profoundly positive impact on my daughter's life.

There is little communication between the administration and parents, which is frustrating when changes are taking place (e.g. teachers moving classrooms, upcoming closures), or there are events that parents could participate in (e.g. bake sales).

I've been at this school for over 10 years and I have to say that the management was better when…read morethe old owner was still in charge. Mrs. Remtulla, the previous director of education, was more "in-touch" with the school. You can see how truly she loved the school and she genuinely cared. On the other hand as soon as her daughter, Ms. Remtulla took over, things started going bad. Once the high school was added, grade eights had no graduation because they expected you to continue on to the high school. When asked about the graduations teachers and the principal said it was the director's idea and we couldn't do anything about it. My parents have paid for over 10 years of tuition and uniforms only to be told there was no graduation. This school is not worth the tuition especially if you are in middle school and thinking about going here. If you are in grade 7, you will be in the Stouffville campus and there the campus is trash. Sometimes the water doesn't work, sometimes the heating doesn't work and sometimes the water isn't clean. I strongly advise you to go to a public school instead to save the money. Some teachers genuinely don't care about you and most of the good teachers have left. Some of the teachers I had had no idea what they were teaching and they wrote tests based off of things they don't even know. Some teachers have clear favourites and a lot of them get mad at some other students for no apparent reason. One teacher I had yelled at one of my classmates when they were correcting her about their name. She called him one name and he was trying to tell her that wasn't his name and then she sent him to the office. To get to the gym, you need to take a hike to get there. The gym is secluded behind a bunch of trees. We had to hike in the snow there for gym classes. Overall, this school isn't worth the cost especially for the higher grades. Good luck.

We did encounter some teachers that did not fit well with my children, but the administrators can take care help if you voice out. Overall, this is a good school. Children are very happy here and have made a lot of friends of all classes.
