These small business owners have grown their limited liability corporation significantly since then and finally fulfilled one of their wishes... This past fall (September 2024), they initiated a SIMPLE IRA with the help of Kaleb Wright at this Edward Jones office. There are several Edward Jones offices in Hobbs, but this is the only one that shares a building with Prime Realty, another agency I would recommend. Kaleb and his assistant, Nora, are wonderfully patient and helpful employees. My questions via phone and email have been answered by one or the other in a timely manner and coherently. While they had plenty of their own money to both open their own account, I did not realize that their names could not even be on their own debit cards without an ID in the form of a state-issued ID or passport. Apparently a birth certificate does not suffice. Without the proper ID, the cards would entail only my name embossed on it and that kind of defeats the purpose for me. I did not see minor/custodian info on their website: https://www.jpstone.com/ The representative who helped us was nice, but had to review a brochure or call a higher-up while answering our follow-up questions. Really lovely inside. High ceilings. Soft colors. No obnoxious sounds. Lobby closes at 3PM - which I am so grateful they took us in 2 minutes before they locked the doors. Lol. Great potential, but their rates are slightly lower compared to another nearby local bank of which I am already established.

While the transition did not work out for a few different reasons (we received this bummer news yesterday 1.7.2025), I would still recommend this husband-wife duo for other insurance needs. This is one of the few insurance agencies in town that answers phones and emails in an extremely, pleasingly timely manner. Thanks, Rachael, for your time and service. We've had a few miscommunication hiccups, but overall I enjoy all of the people that I have worked with at this small firm - Anthony, Hector, Randy, & Crystal just to name a few. Their rates are extremely competitive with the big guys. In fact, they were exceedingly cheaper than Farmer's and State Farm the last time I got quotes from them. Their office is located in downtown Hobbs on Broadway. Ample street parking is available. The wait to speak with a specialist tends to be a bit long, but I highly recommend making an appointment and bringing a list of all of your questions and concerns.
