Ellis County Music Center is a full-line musical instrument store that specializes in School Band Supply, House of Worship Needs, Music Lessons, and Instrument Repair. Additional services include PA System rentals and product offerings for all musicians alike. We offer everything from Tubas to Accordions and just about anything you can dream of in between. While several other companies ship out their repairs we take pride in our onsite horn repair facility. Our repair technicians boast over 30 years combined experience. This is a pretty important fact when you consider that new band students are not only learning how to play their instrument, but also how to care for it. Accidents happen, and when they do, we're here to help. In addition to all this we offer an excellent selection of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, guitar accessories, drums, electric drums, drum accessories, keyboards, amps, cajons, djembes, cables, microphones, mixers, speakers, and much more.

History

Established in 1994.

Our founder, Tim Grant Sr., grew up and raised his family in the southern Dallas County area. In the shadows of some of the largest music companies in the country he saw the local needs of our area being under served. With that in mind he sat out to create a company that was focused on the needs of his local neighbors and friends. Against the odds he opened the doors to our first store front, Guitar Focus, in 1994. During 12 years of business the store expanded its offerings based on the needs of our customers, and soon the company grew to be a full line music store. In 2006, with a new focus on the expanding demand of school band supply and repair, the company moved to a larger store front near Interstate 35 (in Red Oak) complete with a full service horn repair shop, and was fittingly re-branded as Ellis County Music Center. Moving to its current location in Waxahachie in 2011 the company continues to grow and serves an expanding local area with son Tim Grant II joining the team.

Meet the Manager: Tim LT G.

Tim "LT" Grant has returned to the family business after a 14 year career in the audio visual rental & staging industry. Ellis County Music Center has been a part of his life since its conception as Guitar Focus in 1994. At the age of 13 he assisted with the original logo design of the company, and would work the shop floor after school while his father was instructing lessons. He has earned his undergraduate degree in Management and actively serves on a Collegiate Management Advisory Council for the Dallas County Community College District.
