Due to a train cancellation, we arrived late to Bruges and were happy to find a place still open that served vegan burgers. Service was good, if not particularly friendly. But we later found that to be the case with most restaurants in Bruges so maybe that's just the culture here. So that is fine. The burgers arrived hot and presentation was very nice and looked delicious. Sadly, taste-wise, the burgers were kinda meh. Not like a veggie burger with distinct beans/veggies/rice or an Impossible burger that is meat-like. It was sorta soft and kinda generic-tasting. But it wasn't bad. Just meh. The fries were delicious but I guess that is to be expected. It was a satisfying meal but I guess the veggie burger movement is still somewhat nascent here and will likely get better with time. Got the classic and the Ellis. Burgers were thick & juicy. The buns were pillowy soft. Overall the burgers were delicious and satisfying.

Watch out for the metal box at the bottom of the stairs. I hit my head against it, the walkway wasn't well lit. I think a baby bumper would be helpful here. Unable to try the food but the ice was good. read more

I waited 20 minutes for food. After specifically ordering no bacon on the burger, it arrived with bacon. I had to send it back and was told it would be another 15 minutes and if that was ok? I said it was not ok as I had already been waiting long enough. I had one day in Bruges and didn't want to waste time sat waiting in one establishment. This did not make one iota of difference. This was the best burger I've had outside of the US. Juicy, flavorful. We all had burgers and a couple of sides of fries for which Belgium is known. Prices were moderate and quality was good. The bacon was delicious and was more like a ham than a cured thick piece of bacon in America. The. buns were amazing read more

This place was meh. Apparently there was an issue with their grill and no one bothered to tell us - hence the reason for the loooong wait for our burgers. The manager came out later and told us, after my sister inquired. We got a free bottle of water for our wait. That was nice. The burgers were OK. The poutine wasn't good at all. Don't even bother getting that. We also tried s couple of the cocktails and they were just OK as well. Cute outside seating area though. Kids like the onion rings. read more

On a trip to Bruges with my wife and an old friend and her boyfriend, we happened to grab a burger here due to the fact they have vegan options. The wife's friend is vegan and so, other than Lebanese, Greek, or Thai, which I'm not too giddy to try in, well Bruges, we settled on a burger. They had a few vegan options, including the Holy Shiitake, which is entirely comprised of mushrooms, and some vegetarian options. While the wife got a classic burger, and I got a vegetarian option, a Green Way burger, which is a Belgian made plant-based burger, and the wife's friend got the shiitake burger. My burger was served with a "lime mayo," that didn't really taste much like lime, but was still okay. They also had a vegan mayo. The wife and I also got Sweet Potato Fries. They were fine. All in all this place was just okay. Nothing to write home about. My Green Way burger could have been cooked a touch more and as I mentioned the lime mayo was just meh. It was also inconvenient that they couldn't split the bill for us at the end. Don't think I'd ever would have eaten here if we hadn't been with vegan guests. Wouldn't go back on our own. read more

While perfectly acceptable food, the service was slow and the experience was nothing special. Strawberry lemonade was the best thing we ordered and a pitcher was plenty for our family of 5. Location is nice since it is off the main squares so a bit quieter. Won't be the best burger ever but will fill you up at a decent price. read more

We stopped here on a whim and were very happy with our meal. I had the blue cheese burger that was delicious and I was sad to see the experience end. The fries were perfect. My companions got the bacon cheeseburger and said it was good as well. Pleasant atmosphere and wait staff. I recommend this place highly. read more

Dear reader, you're probably american, and you're probably disappointed by some of your tourist food choices. Belgian food is this weird hybrid between the better french and german options. You probably miss some real burgers. But this is not the place to go. Service was crap, no one cared. The tea was luke warm, the hot chocolate was almost cold and had to be reheated. The chicken in the salad was so dry it felt like it had been left out for a few days. The caesar dressing was apparently mayo and tarragon. Has anyone heard of anchovies??? The burger itself wasn't terrible, but hardly good either. But the fries and onion rings really were bad. This is belgium, you should at least get your fries right. The onion rings were too raw, and to be honest seemed to be pre bought frozen stuff that was just dumped in the fryer. When confronted with the problems the staff did not care. Quote of the evening from a waitress when told the chicken was dry and nasty "I'm a vegetarian, I don't know". That was a statement, not a question - we get it, you're an employee, you don't make tips, you serve tourists who won't come back and you don't give a crap. Beers are standard belgian offerings, nothing special. No draft, nothing rarer. You'll get a better beer choice at any corner store. read more

Enjoyed the atmosphere, not so much the food. Stopped in for a snack at an odd hour, around 4pm- it's great that they're open then. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant seems to be in a grand old townhouse with high ceilings and although modern in front, if you go to the other smaller dining areas it has a grand old timey feel. There are some fun quirky decor details, too. Now, the food. My husband and I are from America and love diner food and classic Southern comfort food. We are now vegetarian so we can't comment on their specialty, hamburgers but I can talk about the rest. I had three sides, fries, corn on the cob, and a salad. The fries were great, naturally, it's in Belgium. The corn on the cob was the worst corn I've ever had and I always order corn on the cob when it's on a menu. I don't know how one can mess that up. Even if you only boil it it's great. I can only imagine it was cooked for too long and then also microwaved- otherwise I don't even want to imagine what could make it taste so dead. The salad was okay but it was supposed to come with a house made vinaigrette- the salad was in a small narrow cup and there was a lot of olive oil gathered at the bottom and that's it- wondering if they forgot to add the rest because I couldn't taste anything else. My husband had the veggie burger and did not like the taste- he said he was eating the burger part first and fast so he could just eat the better parts like the bun and fixin's and be done with the burger. The waitress was able to accommodate my request for a side of pickles which was nice, especially since I didn't have enough to eat after not being able to take more than a few bites of the corn. Not sure if they charged for the pickles, I forgot to check. Although I did not like most of what I ordered, I found the atmosphere and staff so pleasant that if I am back in Bruges I would consider coming back just for some fries. read more

Shame on us for craving a burger on our travels through Europe. There is nothing tremendously wrong about this place, but it did not impress. Perfectly so-so. Most burgers outside of the US don't taste like burgers in the US anywhere you go, but still the burger was only average, if you consider the price. Service was ok, but not the fastest. Beer selection was quite minimal considering you are in the greatest beer-land in the world. For some reason, we were hoping for a 'gourmet' burger like Bareburger in NYC or even a Five Guys, but all in all it was just ok. You're in Europe. You can have a burger when you get home. Second time we had lunch here and were still as impressed as the first time. Following on from the comments below: it's pricy for a burger but totally worth it in our opinion. We had a Rossini burger (definitely try this one) and a Hunter (seasonal burger). Service was great, you do sit close to the other people which gives it a bit of a fastfood feeling but the interior is great. Would definitely recommend for a lunch when you're in town. read more

Stay away - very rude and inattentive staff. We stopped by for some beers and a snack and should have left when the menus were actually tossed at us but decided to stay. The beer menu is very limited and the beers were relatively cheap, but that's because the glasses are VERY small. We got our beers but our food never came and the server never once came back to check on us. We ended up just paying our bill and leaving without ever getting to eat. read more

Looked like a great place with outdoor seating and very European feel. However, that's where the positives ended. The service was terrible. We saw two parties have to move tables because they had put people at the wrong tables. Next, the burgers were mediocre at best. The forgot to bring one of my daughter's drinks and when I asked the waiter, he acted like I had put him out. Then, when I asked the waiter for a glass of water he replied (and I couldn't make this up even if I tried), "I'm sorry. I can't get water. We're too busy." Lastly, it was even difficult to pay with the person at the register saying "I can't take money" and then when another employee came to take payment, they couldn't find our bill.
