Unlike other…read morecompany's I talked to, DAD's (Dan - the owner and general contractor) personally wrote down everything I wanted along with suggestions (design elements), provided professional drawings, and a very detailed estimate before I was committed to the remodel. He was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. A very nice family man. Nothing like those pushy salespeople from those bigger remodeling companies and home improvement stores. Dan did not try to sell me anything. He genuinely cared about what was best for me and how he could help me have the bathroom I wanted - not what he wanted to sell me. Like he said in the beginning, Dan was there, physically working with his team, every day. If I had a question - he was there ready to answer and help. Everyone was so nice, helpful, and pleasant. It was getting harder for me to get in and out of the bathtub. I needed to replace my bathtub with a shower. Dan explained the entire process and gave me lots of ideas and options that I could choose from. DAD's completely overhauled the bathroom area installing a larger low curb tiled shower with an adjustable hand shower on its own pole. They also installed floor heating (this is really nice!), comfort height toilet, new solid wood cabinet (not that stuff made out of sawdust) with quartz countertop, exhaust fan, recessed LED lighting, door, and all new switches and outlets. They also replaced all the drywall and insulated all the walls (what a difference this made!). The work and installation of tiles, fixtures, and everything else is very high quality. DAD's Construction does not take any short cuts or cut corners. Dan always keeps you updated on their progress. Nobody shows up unexpectantly and you know every person by name who is working - all very nice people. Everything installed in my bathroom remodel is very solid, durable, and placed with care and perfection. I noticed that the lumber that was used was "nice looking". Dan explained that they always try to use lumber that is rated as #1 or Select (that's the best and strongest). I also noticed that the fixtures were not plastic with metal plating. All the fixtures were solid brass with strong, long-lasting brushed nickel finishes. Watching as they performed my bathroom remodel, I can now see why DAD's is so much better than all the other companies out there. I know my new shower, solid wood cabinet, fixtures, and beautiful tile will last for many years without any issues. I will absolutely have DAD's Construction perform my next project.

An island was added with new lighting, a work station for paying bills and planning menus, and tons of storage. He transformed a wet bar into a walk-in kitchen pantry, which was functional and added lots of useful storage. The windows over the sink overlooked the pool so I could watch the kids in the backyard, and he added so many features I would never have thought of. It is the kitchen of my dreams! The family room was expanded to include a pool table area, and a covered patio was built outside to accommodate an eating area. The tile floor and backsplash in the kitchen were his ideas and added to the beauty of the room. Although the project took many months, it was not a major inconvenience. His team was prompt, professional, and cleaned up the work area on a daily basis. Recently, I updated my master bathroom. My major focus was to add a large shower area where I could bathe my dogs. Joel took my ideas and made a shower area that was perfect for my purposes. His pricing was reasonable, and I am grateful that he understood what I wanted for my bathroom. If you want a contractor that has great customer service, does quality work, and is honest and reliable, then Joel is the person you want for your job.
