They are quick to help! I take my almost everything here to get tailored, they dint take too long and they get it done

The lady working here is simply amazing. When I come in to pick up my items, she just nods and says "yes, sure, one sweater and two pants" or "yes, one coat", etc. - and every single time, she is right on! Never even looks at the slip. And often, week or more has passed since I dropped the items off. No idea how she remembers. Ever since my first visit almost a year ago, I have been loyal and haven't even try another place. I feel welcomed and valued. The pieces are very reasonable as well as timing. Besides dry cleaning, I tried some other services, such as patching a hole in my sweater and fixing a loose hem. I have been happy with all results. Only one time I asked them to treat a stain one more time, they did it quickly and, of course, at no additional charge. I have never experienced such excellent cleaning service! Just moved in at the beginning of July and wanted everything cleaned after being in boxes. I had an enormous pile of dry cleaning and a large area rug. The two ladies working at drop off, one a younger lady and the other the tailor were both prompt and welcoming. The rug is still with them but the took less than the week promised. When I came in the tailor there and she was very helpful. She had without charge mended some moth holes in my cashmere and added a button to an old dress I had that I resorted to using a safety pin to clasp. She did all of this well and the clothing feels great. No burned stiff fibers! She also walked the load out to my car with me to get it hung properly. This is the best dry cleaning service option on the North Shore. They will valet your clothing to and from your house whenever you call. Sandy and her mom are wonderful people that care about their customers. Mom is also a wonderful tailor for men's pants and jackets. Probably other garments but thats all I've had done. They discount every bill for me. And also will do small sewing or buttons free of charge. read more

I am so mad that I didn't read the reviews before taking two pairs of pants for alterations. I have tall girl issues and brought them two pairs that I had yet to enjoy wearing. I asked for side splits to be put in the bottoms of both and to raise the hem of on pair 1 inch and to cut the side hems in the center of the existing seams The older lady kept not agreeing with me and wanted to cut along a line further way away from a detail line. I agreed. The other slacks were cut and hem raised to the pin mark of how long the split should run. and no side slits, the pants she did put slits in were cut unevenly and the slits were different lengths. Both pants are not wearable and she wanted to "fix" the pants she shortened mistakenly by putting back the material she cut off I agreed to let her try, so she cut the new hem off to reattach the new hem, rendering them even shorter??? WHICH MEANT SHE NEVER CARED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I ASKED FOR! BOTH TIMES. My husband took his business shirts to them for over 10 years before COVID. I trusted that she knew what she is doing on a simple seam. I am so sick of hearing yeah, yeah, OK, Ok yes, yes from people who don't give a fk what your business need is but just to charge me 35.00 for not even a half ass job! The women at Elm Place know how to run a business. They are swift in their take-in and delivery process and go well out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction and convenience. Every time I am in there, they are pleasant and treat me like I am their most valuable customer. I go quite regularly with high-quality men's, women's and even children's clothing, and have never been disappointed with the cleaning. They accommodate me well beyond what I ever ask, and that is why they are my sole and preferred dry cleaning shop. read more

Terrible customer service. The elderly lady that runs it basically pushed me out the door telling me to go somewhere else for an estimate. All I wanted was a price estimate on a tailoring job and she wasn't very accommodating to giving me the price quote or working with me on a very simple job. Very rude. read more

This is a minus. The tailoring was awful she does exactly as she likes whether you agree or not because "it's the style". She ruined a brand new top by cutting it in a wrong way. She should have said she was incapable of doing what I asked. read more

This place was recommended to me through one of my facebook groups as I needed the zipper on my son's winter coat replaced quickly (it is scheduled to snow tomorrow) and inexpensively. I walked in on Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by a lovely woman. She worked through the issues with the zipper and told me it would be expensive to replace the zipper. She used some form of grease on it, but it was still catching, so she suggested using the zipper from the pocket (which gets significantly less use) and switching them. She told me it could be ready by Saturday (pretty quick) and asked her if there would be a way to rush it due to the impending snow. She said she would call me if she could get it done tomorrow. Well, I received a call while we were eating dinner letting me know it was ready. I inquired about their hours and they said that they were closing in about 10 minutes, but would stay late if I wanted to pick up tonight. They open at 7:00am, so we'll be going to pick it up before school...AMAZING!!! read more
