I learned about this establishment only recently due to an event posted by Chicago's mixmaster from 90's B96 DJ shows, and currently of Party Zone 103.1 FM, DJ Markski, who had a gig at this club. I have been a fan of Markski's mixes since his start in the 90's when I used to listen to B96 late night DJ mixes. So, when I saw the ad for this event, I had to go check out Markski in the mix as I hadn't seen him play in a long time. Terminal 5 is located in a strip mall. It's a small, well-lit club with a decent size dance floor and a good amount of VIP sitting area. The lightning and sound system were good. Usually, there isn't a cover charge according to the establishment, but the DJ Markski show was something special and had a cover charge upon entry. I enjoyed checking out DJ Markski play his classic Euro dance mix. He played a pretty good set that included some of favorite Eurodance tunes from the 90's. had a good experience at Terminal 5.

The couch areas can get very squished to the point that wait staff can't get over there. Maybe try to reconfigure a little bit so that the area isn't as squished. 2. There's no bathroom signs, or bathroom signage. 3. The TV's are really cool, but they play this "system initializing" animation way too much. I have an idea, what if you tried putting "dance suggestions" on some of the TV's where it gives people that don't want to dance or people that are not great at dancing some kind of guide to help them feel better and more comfortable. 4. Another suggestion I have is maybe hiring a dancer or choreographer to stay on the dance floor and "teach" adults how to dance by making them copy what they are doing. Imagine seeing a dancer on the dance floor and then they are basically giving everyone "suggestions" on what they can do to improve their moves. Maybe you could do a guy that does more masculine choreography and a woman that does more feminine choreography. And then they can take turns or just have fun giving people instructions. And then offer private dancing lessons for how to club dance if people enjoyed dancing with the instructors. 5. Maybe consider LGBT nights and advertise your club to be a safe space for gay people. There's not a lot of gay clubs in the suburbs and advertising to gay people once in a while as well would bring in an insane amount of money. Overall Terminal 5 was a great experience and I do recommend going. The club was nice and very well secured. Everyone is friendly. Of all my critiques please consider staff that could help show people how to dance or teach people new dance moves. Thanks again!

Especially around customer service, the amount of time it takes to adopt a pet and if the pet was still adoptable once we got through the process. Well, we DIDN'T have ANY of the bad experiences others reported. The customer service upon entry from START to FINISH was OUTSTANDING. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front desk with excellent customer service. The 'cat' coordinator who took us to the cat section was VERY knowledgeable about the cats and spent an incredible amount of time with us. We didn't feel rushed at all. P.A.W.S followed through with everything they said they would do. The whole process from seeing our little Whisper to picking her up and taking her to her new home was six days (and that's because two of the days we weren't available). The process went very smoothly. They answered our questions in person and returned our phone calls and emails timely. They are very concerned about their pets and the homes their animals are placed in. We feel really honored to house one of the pets from their facility. Thank you P.A.W.S for everything you do for animals!

I'm disappointed with my experience trying to adopt through PAWS…read more I first visited the shelter to meet Neptune, but he was being housed in the stray section rather than the adoptable area because there was no available space. I was told that if I wanted to meet him, I needed to submit an adoption application and schedule an appointment. I submitted my application on June 6 and did everything I was asked to do. Since then, I have called PAWS at least twice a week and sent multiple follow-up emails asking for an update on my application and whether I could schedule a visit with Neptune. I also reached out about two other cats but never received a response regarding them either. I completely understand that PAWS is short-staffed, and I truly appreciate the work they do for the animals. However, communication with prospective adopters is just as important. Even a quick email saying that my application was still being reviewed, that there was a waitlist, or that another adopter was ahead of me would have been appreciated. Instead, after nearly a month of waiting and repeatedly trying to get in touch, on July 2 I finally received a very short email simply stating that Neptune had been adopted. While I'm genuinely happy that he found a home, it was extremely disappointing to spend weeks trying to communicate with no meaningful updates, only to receive a one-line email at the end. Also, I dont understand not trying to maintain a good communication and just keep the adoptees in the loop, it is actually frustrating when there is nothing i could do rather than emailing and calling them, it just is not fair. ( I am saying this based on all the previous google/yelp) reviews i have had, it does seem like this is an recurring problem and there has been nothing done to solve this, just seems suspicious at last. I hope PAWS can improve its communication with prospective adopters. Many people are genuinely trying to provide loving homes for these animals, and applicants deserve timely updates, even if the answer is simply that a cat has already been adopted or that there is a waitlist. Better communication would make the adoption experience much more respectful and transparent for everyone involved.

After attending a holiday party at the studio, I can attest that this is a warm and special place. A non profit, Tesserae provides a social and professional space for artists with special needs and aims to be a community hub where where the public can hear music, view and create art, and socialize. Our group of twenty found booked the studio for three hours on a Friday night. Pricing is fair: $50/hour for half of the studio or $100/hour for the whole studio. We booked the back half of the studio which has a long bar area, fridge, counter and sink, cafe tables and chairs and a nice bathroom. The whole studio was beautifully decorated: soft ambient lighting and art work interspersed with winter decorations. We were warmly greeted by the owner and her son, one of the resident mosaic artists and staff was on hand to assist us with anything we needed throughout the evening. Other perks: -there is free parking in back or in the lot by Happy Foods - the whole space is newly remodeled, so it's big and bright - you can bring your own food and drinks making the price even more appealing -when the studio is open, anyone can stop in to hang out, chat, have coffee, read the paper, whatever! This would be a great space for regular meetings like book clubs or special events like wedding showers. I could even see booking the spot for a few hours on a weekend to host cocktails and appetizers for friends.

My 8yr daughter loves this place-she had her birthday party here recently and she cannot stop talking about how much fun she had with her friends. The spaciousness and layout was perfectly suited for accommodating a large group, allowing everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend this location to anyone in search of a venue for their special occasions.
