They certainly haven't lived up to that. She doesn't get a bath sometimes when she really needs it. Over a week ago she had an a pretty big mess in the bathroom. She asked them to clean it and I asked them to clean it. To this day it still hasn't been cleaned. They were to assess her for the assisted living because she is getting better. Now we find out after we move some furniture in. This still hasn't been done. When she asked for something else to eat they tell her they don't have time or that they have to go all the way down to the kitchen. Now because she hasn't been assessed we have to wait on her to move into assisted living and she has to stay at this other dirty place till medicare goes through. This place is awful and there Corporate team needs to do something about it.

They allow residents to lay in bed, drugged for 24-36 hours so they don't have to worry about taking care of a human being. The lie about medications, they don't supply residents with basic needs (numerous documented cases of dehydration), and the first real time I saw legit nursing was after the state was called into investigate a case of neglect. There are garbage nurses, garbage aids and the turnover rate for administrators and DONs is stupid. Why would you get into health care and not take care of someones health? I know the pay isn't that good. Seriously, if you are thinking about sending a loved one here for their end of life care.... you're signing their death certificate early. I wish I could give the Elms negative stars. Shame on you all.

The food is pretty good. Sometimes a little too spicy, but it does have good flavor. It's rare to have a bad meal there. They are very respectful of the residents and form real relationships with them.

They allow visiting family members to dine with their loved ones for a mere $5 a meal. They have plenty of visiting spaces and activities outside of the rooms and a hair dresser that will do patients hair. The downside is it may take awhile to get assistance after sending a nurse alarm and if you would like to stay the night in a loved ones room you will spend the night sleeping on a tiny love seat, this is impossible of course unless you are a little person. All in all this place does a great job helping their patients to rehab and they are gracious to the family/loved ones of their patients.

The staff were sincere in their care and in their respect for my Mom's welfare. The food was very tasty: The many times that I visited my Mom over those four years, I also enjoyed the food.
