The minister crossed out the county and wrote "illegibly" so the court did not accept our marriage license. Elope to Savannah said they would sign a new marriage license, and mail it to the court for us. I communicated that I would reach out to them when we were able to get a new marriage license, but because of work and illness it took two months for us to get a new marriage license. Once we got a free day we paid a local minister to marry us legally. During our session with Elope to Savannah they suggested their mail service was unreliable and at that point I did not want to risk another mistake. Apparently their mail goes to Florida before it goes to the mail recipient. When I requested a refund they blamed us for taking a long time to get the new marriage license. They said a refund would be problematic in this economy because they are a small business. They gave a breakdown of their expenses and suggested a small partial refund. Being scolded for not getting this fixed right away was shocking. Use them at your own risk. If they fixed their mistake with us this way, imagine what kind of fix they will give you. I used Elizabeth's service for my September 2015 wedding. Things started off great, but communication started to slack towards my wedding date. Quite a few emails would go unanswered for weeks at a time, She did eventually get back to me and we thought everything was good to go. The day of the wedding as I was putting on my dress, I received a phone call stating that Elizabeth was in the emergency room. I felt terrible for her of course, and glad she is okay. However things went down hill pretty fast. We paid for flowers, and they didn't arrive until after the ceremony was over. Elizabeth was our photographer, and she was unable to find a replacement. So we didn't have a photographer for our day. Can you imagine? Luckily, we had a friend stand in to take some photos. The poor review is mainly because I felt that after all the dust was settled, I had to reach out to Elizabeth to discuss a refund. We paid for services, and the correspondence from Elizabeth seemed to be that she didn't have to refund us anything. After going back and forth, she did send us a refund. however I am still feeling months after, very disappointed with the outcome. Emergencies happen, we all get that. But it's a business. If a client pays for photography and flowers to be delivered as agreed and that fails to happen, there is going to be a problem. I think had Elizabeth just apologized and reached out to us sooner to offer us a refund, it would be been okay, but I felt like I had to fight her for it. Hopefully in the future she will have more safeguards in place in case of sudden illness. read more

Jeanne Marie was super easy to contact, gave great suggestions on location and where the best place is to get hair and makeup done (shout out to Salon Della Vita in downtown Savannah) and was so positive and knowledgeable about everything. Our officiant Geoffrey was the best! He had a great sense of humor, wasn't afraid to get to know us and made the ceremony so calm and effortless. The photographer LeeAnn was the biggest ball of positivity and energy I've ever ran across and was so much fun to talk to and work with!! We decided to elope after the new year. Elizabeth was very quick to answer emails and put to rest any reservations. The officiant was very professional and our Ceremony at the Forsyth park fountain was everything I wanted it to be. It really is a great service and effortless really on the couple. We added a quick photo session, in spite of the harsh lighting of a morning beach ceremony the photographer captured some lovely photos so we could share our elopement with family and friends.
