    best cup of cornn
    Jennifer L.

I can't believe I haven't given this place the props it deserves. This is the only place I constantly crave when I want elotes even though it's in another city. It's a small little shop on the side of Fiesta and I love it! Service is fast so even if there's a line, don't be discouraged. They husk the corn off the cob there and their corn is always so fresh and hot (another plus because I love when my food is piping hot). Prices kind of changed but I think it's like $3.50 for a large and $2.50 for a small? I can't remember but I always put a little bit of lemon pepper and hot sauce on it. Gets my nose running soo good and packed with flavor. Looking forward to the day I can have this again.

When in Arlington. I make it a point to stop at this elotes stand infront of Fiesta Mart. I don't know their hours so i have drove here before and it's not here. But I try anyways because it's the BEST in town. The corn is sweet and buttery. And the hot sauce is muy caliente!!! Large is only $2.50!

The corn was sweet and warm! Very convenient being next to the market. I don't like it all gushy in a cup but the corn on the cob was really good! I love elotes but sometimes it can be too much. I recommend the corn on a cob one if you want the same thing that's more light. We added hot sauce and lemon pepper and it was chef kiss! Service was very nice even when we didn't speak Spanish and had trouble on what we want. Support small businesses!

I've been there twice and the hot sauce is so hot my lips were burning. I got less hot sauce last time and I'll stick to that. Ladies give fast service and its corn from the cob!

    The best elote!!

These are the original elotes and I evaluate all others from here and to me this location is the best!

Fresh off the cob. Try it with the Chile con Limon seasoning. A little spicy but adds the perfect touch of heat.

The sales persons at the counter also need to be cooperative. They will never offer you help. Offering help may increase the quality of the store. Most slowest part is to get the Meats. If you go before 1 PM, you may not get any meat. I think they very slow compared to the other halal meat place like indopak world market. Some of their product crosses the expiration date but they sell those item by erasing the expiry date. Please buy product after checking the expiration date. They also need to check the quality of onion, potato and tomato before giving under sale. Sale does not mean to be selling rotten foods. The cafeteria buffet is great but be aware of their Chicken biriyani if you are southeast asia. They should know how Biriyani looks like in other places like Mom's spice or texas king even indopak world market. They will give you a lot of white rice with two dry chicken pieces. They changed the definition of biriyani to middle eastern biriyani". They should change the recipe and lower the price to $2.99 and make some advertisement in local areas like mosque/school to grab more customers. They even call a day for $2.99 chicken biriyani.

It's a decent size grocery store with great selections of prepackaged seasonings, fresh meats & fish. The freezer area has A LOT of different roti's, & naans, also samosas, gyro meats, cooked chicken snacks. Wish they had more frozen entrees, not just naans & snacks. THE CAFE IS A MUST TRY! The prices are reasonable, good selections, & boy... they were so good! I got beef Tezala (tejala) & butter chicken that come with basmati rice. Portion is enough for 2 people. I asked for mild bc hubby & daughter don't handle spicy. They both have GENEROUS amount of meat! The beef has bone-in meat pieces & yes some fatty meat that we like bc the fat makes food tasty. They're both fresh & so tasty. The butter chicken is creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet like some other places. The beef was tender that it fell off the bones & so rich in flavor. Pretty generous amount of rice too. The staff are nice & friendly. The store staff greet you & offer help. It is a simple, non-fancy place, but it is a gem! Can't believe I never bothered to check this place out!

Sad that I've lived…read morerelatively close by for almost 3 years, love ethnic cuisine, and never stopped in before. I'm a fool and must make up for lost time. The interior isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing - it's pretty run down with dingy and outdated floors, walls, and shelves. Unattractive fluorescent lighting and items sort of piled about. But everything seemed ultra-clean and the store is easy to navigate, which is what counts. The variety and quality of products here is stellar. When do you ever see whole raw garbanzo beans? Where can you find the biggest bags of basmati rice known to all humankind (and multiple brands at that)? So much produce, every kind of flour you can think of, herbs (curry leaves!), and an incredible array of whole/dried and powdered spices. Soooo many types of salt and pepper, curry, masala, chutneys, incense & candles, yogurt, fresh baked goods, SO MUCH GHEE, a large selection of frozen foods, candies, and a ton of pre-packaged cookies, breads, and cakes. I was the only person in the store at 4 PM on a Wednesday, but the staff was nice and I was able to get in and out quickly despite my lengthy browsing.

This place can be an experience just walking through and looking at everything. The looks and smells are almost overwhelming. Our favorite thing to do here is to get spices. You can get a HUGE bag of spices for a fraction of the price that you would pay for a little bottle at a regular grocery store. The staff are very straight to the point. Some might consider border line rude but I think it's just the culture difference not rudeness. They are usually pretty busy and just don't have time for pleasantries. If you need spices or a 50 pound bag of rice, this is your place.

I noticed the issue immediately after checkout, reviewed my receipt before leaving the parking lot, and returned to the store within 2-3 minutes. Instead of acknowledging a possible mistake, staff insisted the price was correct and stated they do not honor returns, even when addressed immediately. I pointed out that the item had no price tag on it, nor was there any pricing on the shelf, and that it appeared to be priced nearly 4× higher than normal. The response was dismissive and not apologetic. Within less than 10 minutes at my next store stop, I found the exact same item priced at $3.99, confirming my concern. Which is unfortunate, because the store initially appeared nice and clean. However, once trust is lost, it's hard to come back. Based on how this was handled, I will not be returning and do not recommend this store.
