Michael and his crew are the complete package, both in terms of customer experience and execution (getting it done and doing a good job). We hired them at the recommendation of our neighbor who had a good experience with Diamond repainting the exterior of their house. Michael gave us a reasonable quote, in a timely manner. He turned up when he promised and communicated well. He was also happy to work with us to make the entire job a success; we asked for extra scaffolding and 2-3 weeks lead time with the scaffolding to allow our contractor to use it to replace 1/3 of our siding. He was very reasonable about the cost of extra work - we even paid him a little bit more than he asked because it felt right. I think a reasonable contractor is important because once you start the work and you're locked into the contractor you want to know that changes will be easy. Michael's crew were respectful, responsive and a pleasure to have around too. They worked carefully. Last, but not least, we're really happy with the quality of the work. And I can't say enough good things about Raul and the people on his crew. They're all extremely conscientious, respectful, and thoughtful. For example, when they were painting the interior of my parents' house, the cat stepped in the paint and one of the crew members cleaned up the cat's paws! And they always made sure my four-year-old daughter had space to move around safely. The quality of their work was amazing as well. My house has a really tricky gable because I have a screened in deck with a clear, polycarbonate roof that runs the length of the house. We spoke with a few other paint companies and everyone everyone else refused to paint the gable because they didn't want to deal with the polycarbonate roof. But who wants to have a freshly painted house with an unpainted gable in a totally different color? Not only did Erik's team paint the gable, they did a beautiful job despite being attacked by a very angry swarm of wasps who were hiding inside the gable vent! These guys are such troopers--one of them even got stung a few times but they kept on working with no complaints. To demonstrate the level of trust that we have he actually stayed in our house near Salt Point State Park many nights instead of driving back and forth an hour and a half each way. This trust alone should be enough for anyone of us to push the hire button. The latest project is a 121 year old single story ranch house. It had been neglected by prior family with little maintenance and was years overdue for paint. The prep work alone was over 8 days of scraping and sanding. I worked on the weekends for a few months then Joey took over. Besides the professionalism and highly skilled craftsmen that he is . . . Joey is also an Artist. Technical skill is one thing but in this business aesthetics can be everything especially when it is a home and can encompass all those complicated feelings that arise from a long history with multiple generations having lived and loved in this house. He made a lot of suggestions that we implemented. None of those cost us extra nor were designed to add to the bill (I know some contractors do that or people feel they do so I am adding this in).
