I'll echo what most have said in other reviews. I bought ten 5-6' Green Emeralds last spring. The…read moregood: they were as advertised and were all about 5' (including root ball, so about 4' planted). Foliage was bright, fresh and full. They delivered and installed them. The bad: in hindsight it would probably be better if they just delivered and I installed them. Why? Because they only dug holes into the forest loam as big as needed to get the root balls in. I had plenty of new loam to use, but they barely used any. They didn't follow proper planting technique. At least if I had installed them I'd have dug bigger holes and filled them with good topsoil I had on hand. Don't worry about them not installing them as it won't help with a warranty claim should any die. Your better off knowing the job was done right. I have had some loss. Though I'm glad after reading other reviews here that so far I only lost 3 (30%) of my trees. Per instructions from the installer I watered them heavily. I had a soaker hose wrapped around each tree with a water dam and I ran that hose every day on a timer. I ran it up until the freezing weather forced me to put the hoses away. Within weeks of removing the hose 2 trees started wilting and browning. A 3rd died over the winter. Upon digging them out this spring I found the likely reason. The root balls on them were too small! probably 1/2 of the overall diameter of the foliage. There simply weren't enough roots to handle the size of tree. I ended up transplanting a couple of the other living trees to plug the holes left by the dead ones and what did I see? A more generously sized root ball on those survivors. Why were the root balls so small? I think I know the answer. I wondered how they could deliver and install the trees over such a wide delivery area for such a low cost. They make it work by doing volume. And by volume I mean they dig out the tree with the smallest root ball possible so that they can fit more trees on the installers trailer. Less root ball = less weight = more trees/installation stops per trip = higher margins. So if you do decide to get these trees do everything you can to ensure their survival. Buy in early spring, only accept trees with decent sized root balls, plant them yourself, water the living heck out of them ALL SEASON LONG, and wrap them up for the winter to minimize moisture loss. I attempted to go to Canamak Farms 3 times and found lots of plants but no people. The first 2 times I couldn't find an "Open" sign Or a sign with their hours of operation. (My Visits were between noon and 4:30 pm. Weekdays) On my third visit I found a chain across the front of the building with a "closed" sign showing hours (open until 5:00pm), it was 4:30. I also tried reaching Canamak Farms by phone twice. I left two detailed phone messages, both times asking for a call back.... Nothing. On my fourth and final visit, Success! They were open. The plant selection was ok, not a great variety of herbs. (Peppermint) and the woman working didn't know that it was different from plain Mint. I saw 3 other plants I was interested in but they had no markers. Again I asked the woman working, she didn't know . (Italian or yellow squash). She moved things around then told me yellow squash. (They turned out to be zucchini.) Not great plants, high now 2 months later, the plant I got are 50% at best. Sweet peppers had small flowers that grew to 1 1/2" peppers then simply hung there and got soft, compost. The sun gold plants were leggy when I got them and have grown some with minimal yield. Overall, I'm disappointed with their unprofessional business practices. (Couldn't even return my call, customer service is important). I understand that "hours of operation"is loosely based, it's hard work they do. Their huge SALE SIGN was the biggest thing about their sale. They offer soil, mulch, compost but only in bulk and for delivery. Neither was what I needed. Ill go back only in a pinch. Big bummer. I support local businesses not this one.

Unfortunately, the voles got a couple and we returned for replacements. Several employees were seen watering and zooming around in small trucks and no one offered to help us. We waited a long time for checkout and we loaded by ourselves. These were not small plants but fruit trees. Please instruct workers to provide assistance.

My mom never got the flowers I'd ordered for her, and so the day after Mother's Day, I phoned Plattsburgh Flower Market, which at that time was operating according to COVID-19 shelter-in-place rules. Once again, the staff member I spoke with was very helpful, and put together a beautiful arrangement that was delivered to my mom within two hours of placing the order. Stellar service. When…read moreI went to pay at the front desk a lady employee saw the price of the plant I was purchasing and removed the price tag from the plant. She then went to the back to relabel the plant. I explained that I didn't think that was fair and that usually when this happens stores honor the price at which it was originally labeled. The response I received was, "I understand " but there was no plan to honor the original label. I left the store without the plant and will likely never go back. The difference in price was around 15$. At this point they didn't deserve my money and should understand that I can buy that plant anywhere. They lost out on that purchase as well as a life customer all for price of 15$. I hope it was worth it and that you now, you understand.
