I found out about Embarc a couple years ago while at the California state fair. They have multiple locations throughout California. I love the wide selection of edibles they have and the prices are phenomenal. They have flower, vapes etc.. The customer service is always pretty good, I have only had one not so great experience with one employee. Embarc is located in the same shopping center as Starbread and Seafood City. I used to really like this place, but holy crap... what happened to your pricing? Why are Stiiizy pre-rolls $55 at your shop when literally everywhere else I've looked they're around $29, and the highest I've seen is $32? That's not a small difference, that's almost double. What's even crazier is that even with your 30% off promotions, you're still more expensive than everyone else. That tells me the regular pricing is way out of line with the market. I genuinely thought you guys had fair pricing, so this was really disappointing. The service has always been great, and I love the layout of the shop, so I have zero complaints there. But these prices make me feel taken advantage of, and I just can't justify shopping here anymore. I hate saying it because I enjoyed coming here, but unfortunately I won't be back unless the pricing becomes more competitive. Extremely lazy & honestly pathetic. Horrible business etiquette & you might as well change your hours to 8:45 if you're gonna be whiny babies about the time. Embarc has been my go to dispensary for smokes. Been to their locations in Alameda, Tracy, and now Sacramento. They typically also have a spot at the State Fair. This Sac spot is pretty convenient with plenty of parking. It is very clean and well organized. They made some recent changes in which most items are now self-serve which is cool. But they stopped accepting credit cards which is my preferred payment (gotta get my airline miles! LMAO). So be ready with cash payment or they do accept debit card, and they have an ATM inside the shop. They offer a wide variety of selections from flowers, prerolls, etc. and you can preview product selections on their website and order online. Affordable prices and they also have some cool daily deals! Typically I'll get a mix of hybrid and indica - yep gotta get some good sleep Hahaha This visit I just got some Stiiizy Skywalker OG indica since it was May 4th (may the force be with me Lol). Yep it's good, got some good sleep for sure ;) Staff have always provided good service and are friendly. I had a huge online order for pickup, but when I arrived it apparently didn't save in the system. Isaac immediately stepped in and offered to help grab everything off the shelves for me. I'm not very familiar with a lot of the products, so having someone knowledgeable guide me through it was incredibly helpful. What really stood out was how efficient he was. While helping me, two other customers came up with questions, and he managed to carry on multiple conversations while grabbing products for all three of us at the same time. Everyone here provides absolute five-star service! From the security team at the door to the checkout staff, the energy is incredibly welcoming. I had an issue with a product and thought it was broken, but a helpful manager patiently showed me exactly how to work it. I have been coming here since they opened. And tonight I was not very happy about my experience. I showed up 10 mins before they closed at 9pm I had a online order and I was told by security that I was not aloud in to the store because they close at 8:45pm if that is the case then you guys need to change your hours of operation to 8:45pm. Me and about 4 other people. The money they missed out on and the fact that they say 9pm but they close at 8:45pm. I was there just to pick up an online order and was turned away. And it seems like I am not the only one that has complained about this. But the response is sorry thanks for bringing it to my attention but you guys are not correcting the problem you guys are going to start loosing customers when you can go across the street and they take people till 9pm when the close the store. It's a shame. Try to stay loyal but make it hard. I get off work late so I only have very little time to make it there and if it continues to be 8:45pm then I will be going somewhere else. Ran out of tree while in sac and thank god they got a Embarc there! I even had a $5 off so I used that. The place where they actually sell the tree is smaller than the one in Fresno IMO but it does have a big waiting area and it looks nice too. The service was good. My budtender was nice. I think she even told me since I'm new at that location I got another discount on top, kinda forgot how much but I think I only paid $25 or a lil under for a strawberry shortcake traditional eighth. Just glad to have something to smoke on the way back home. There was even a smoke shop next door which was convenient cus we ran out of wraps. read more

I drove 35 min just to patronize this business (when I could got some shit way closer.) I get there at 8:40 and they say they're closed...even tho it's says open on the sign and the door says until 9:00 pm. Horrible...hella people just strolling out for another 20 min after I get there when I coulda been in and out.... AND I already had my order confirmed for pick up! Smh..do better y'all. I hate that I even have to write this because this has been my favorite dispensary for a long time. But this is now the third time in a row where I placed an online order, got a message saying it was ready for pickup, drove from Galt to Sacramento(closest dispensary to me), waited in line, and then was told they didn't have what I ordered. I understand things sell out. That's not the issue. The issue is being told my order is ready when it's not, and then having to figure everything out once I'm already there. What made this even more frustrating is the constant back and forth. I would try to pick something else, even from the store's own website while standing there, be told "okay," they'd go grab it and come back saying they don't have it. This happened multiple times in one visit. At one point, I wasn't even asking for anything specific anymore. I was just going based on what I was told was available. I was told they had hybrid badder (concentrate) instead, so I said okay and chose one. They went to "grab it", came back, and said they didn't have it. So, AGAIN.. I agreed to something else THEY SAID was available, and again it wasn't there. This kept happening until I was told the only thing available was sativa sugar, which I had already said I didn't want. I was very clear about what I was looking for. I asked for indica badder, and when that wasn't available, I was open to other options. I kept being told things were available when they weren't. I also want to be clear that this isn't about staff being unfriendly. Everyone has been EXTREMELY polite. The issue is the system and how orders and inventory are being handled. The only time I experienced any attitude was during one visit when the employee was clearly frustrated having to go back and forth multiple times as the online order line built up behind me, which honestly just shows how inefficient the process is. I've always been patient and respectful, and I make sure to tip every time I come in. Even the last two times this happened, I still tipped. That's why this feels especially frustrating. On a previous visit, I ended up spending way more than I planned just because nothing I originally ordered or chose as an alternative was actually available. On my most recent visit, after all the back and forth, I ended up leaving without buying anything. I really think the online ordering system and inventory need to be more accurate so people aren't driving out, waiting, and then running into this same situation. This used to be my go-to spot, which is why this is so disappointing I will not be returning. read more

Honestly, I would give this place zero stars if it weren't for the employee working today. I came in for a grab bag and waited about 40 minutes in line because there was only one budtender assisting everyone. I genuinely felt bad for her. It seems like every time I visit, she's working alone without any support while customers are yelling at her to hurry up. No employee should be put in that position. This reflects poorly on management, not on the employee. Expecting one person to handle a busy Friday by themselves is unfair and creates a frustrating experience for both customers and staff. I hope Human Resources or upper management looks into this situation, because it's clearly a recurring issue. At the very least, she deserves recognition or a raise for handling an overwhelming workload with professionalism despite having little to no support. read more

Customer service isn't terrible honestly! front desk people are nice and welcoming. But fake products. I only buy turn pods, pens, and pod packs. I was sold fake products. the turn pen did NOT hit, wax was almost red??? and when i tried to verify the authenticity on the OFFICIAL TURN app, it failed. saying it failed to verify authenticity. Do not buy from here. they also ALWAYS give me the wrong strain from weed maps. like almost every time. so don't buy from here. They never check their weed maps orders and the product is too expensive and tax to be FAKE!!!! I'll drop pictures below. but be careful with what weed you buy. i'd recommend toasting dispensary. I've been a loyal customer at Embark on Mack Road for a couple years and have spent a lot of money here. Normally the experience is solid. Today, though, was a masterclass in how one employee can turn a simple situation into a frustrating one. I placed an online order this morning and, about 15 minutes later, received the text saying it had been packed and was ready for pickup. Great. I drove over right away. When I got there, the security gate was closed because apparently they were having an issue opening it and needed a manager. Stuff happens -- not a big deal. The problem was the phone call I had with the employee who answered, Kenneth. Instead of just explaining the situation, he repeatedly cut me off, refused to answer basic questions, and generally acted like I was somehow bothering him by calling to ask why the store had told me to come pick up an order when the gate was literally closed. Simple questions like: "Is a manager on the way?" "Do you know how long this might take?" ...were apparently too much to handle. The call ended with me feeling like I was the difficult one -- even though I still had zero information. So I called back and asked for a manager. Within two minutes the manager calmly explained the situation and told me exactly what was happening. Which raises the obvious question: Why couldn't Kenneth just do that the first time? This wasn't a complicated problem. It just required basic communication and basic customer service. Embark is usually great, which is why this stood out so much. But if management is reading this, you might want to check in on whoever is putting Kenneth on the phones. Because if your system is "tell customers to come pick up their order and then treat them like an inconvenience when they ask why the gate is closed," that's probably not the vibe you're going for. read more

Loved this place and staff are generally cool people until today when I spoke with Leia. I came in asking specifically for terpene-rich pre-rolls and wanted to discuss products using proper industry terminology (terpenes, lab results, profiles). Unfortunately, the employee, Leia, relied heavily on slang terms like "gassy" and "creamy," and when I explained that I use different terminology, her approach became cocky, borderline dismissive, and disrespectful. A professional budtender should be able to adjust their communication style to the customer instead of reacting defensively. There's a big difference between helpful education and talking down to someone. I hope management encourages better customer service skills. read more

I went to Embarc in Sacramento the African American with long dreads or braids assisted me. I explained I did not want anything that would actually get me high. No THC. All I wanted was CBD gummies, pain relief. He showed me a few selections and I explained again. No THC repeatedly throughout the whole conversation. I am by no means knowledgeable in marijuana products. With his suggestions I purchased two canister out gummies. Upon arriving home I looked and they both had THC in them. I immediately called their business and I was told that I could return them for the products that I was actually requesting. After waiting out line again the second time I ended up speaking with the manager and she immediately told me no returns. I explained to her that this is what your employee suggested for me to purchase. Let me say this again. Your employee suggested that these are the items I should purchase. Now I'm stuck with two canisters of $40 worth of product that I will not use. I explained that to her in detail the packages were not opened. I had my receipt in hand. If this is how they treat someone that comes in, that is not a habitual marijuana user. It is just unacceptable when someone that does not understand what they're purchasing and you ask for their essence and they give you a product that is 50/50 and then another product that contained a higher dose of THC. Employees that do not know or listen to the customer that they are selling is a high risk situation as is just ridiculous to be in a position that they're work there. Literally the best club and selection of things!! Sad I don't work in South Sac anymore because I was here weekly. Most ALL of the staff is great, including the security gaurds outside. Curtis was super patient with all my questions. Rhoda is cool! They have an app where you can place online orders + pick up; they're pretty quick with it too! The app with them allows you to earn points so I almost always have a $5 off coupon to use when I place an order. They email you with promo/deals too. Make SURE to come through when they have any anniversary or event happening! I've gotten goodie bags with purchase, including literally hundreds of dollars' worth of merch and goods for spending X amount (which I was doing anyway lol) or brand reps with goodies present, so if you "buy this today, you get this for free" type of thing happening. One time they had a snack booth outside with sodas, chips, candy, photo props, the whole nine! It was always a nice surprise coming in! read more

Oh, for those not in the know, that's.....For The Win.... ;-) We see a lot of advertisements and billboards around town for cannabis delivery, but where do you go if you want to pick up your own ish? Well... I can say that I've been to dispensaries from Midtown Sacramento to Bougie Napa, and then there's Embarc. What I liked about my first, and only visit thus far, there's a shopping complex parking lot so parking was easy. There was a security guard right out front so I felt relatively safe. It IS located off Mack Road and near Stockton Blvd, so I probably wouldn't be stopping here after dark or maybe not even alone, but that's my own safety concerns. They have a very nice lounge area and it didn't feel like you were getting buzzed in for a prison visit. The displays are very nicely curated with visual appeal, product availability, and my personal favorite -- Daily Deals! You'll find discount sales on every day of the week, in addition, they have an app called Embarc and you can accumulate rewards via that. I found the experience to be very welcoming, and it's usually a good rule of thumb to bring cash to a dispensary anyways. I return to exchange the product; and, the second one doesn't work. I go back in to return it for something different and I'm told by the clerk, she couldn't give me a full refund.... EXCUSE ME ? I DROVE 30 MILES ONE WAY TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCT, AND 30MILES HOME. Then; I returned the next day driving another 30 miles (90 miles) to have no product ( medicine) and your going tobtell me YOUR NOT going to refund the total $$$. Well NOW YOU HAVE AN ANGRY CUSTOMER WHO'S NOT BUYING ANYTHING FROM YOU EVER AGAIN. AN ANGRY CUSTOMER WHO'S GOING TO POST ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS PRACTICES. First time coming to this location, I live in Roseville and thought we would check it out since we were out running errands. I got to say this place aesthetic was top notch I loved it had to take some pictures and videos to post to show others! We were greeted by a gentleman with great customer service! It started getting packed quickly, the person who served us was great as well!
