I returned home after living out of state and needed to open an account at a local bank. I have…read moreheard great things about Montana Federal Credit Union, so I trusted what I was told and opened an account. It had been a nightmare ever since. They pull a hard pull credit, which took my score down 13 points! They have the rudest employees in all three branches and absolutely horrible customer service. From the person who rudely answers the phones to the Manager who opened my account, service is HORRIBLE. Their website and app has constant issues and is down more than it is up and working. You can't re-name your accounts, the account number provided is confusing, you can't make a mobile deposit for the first 90-days after opening an account. I regret ever opening an account here and it's a huge pain to change everything again and go to another bank. If you're considering opening an account here, save your time and money and go elsewhere!

She replied that she was going to call the other branch to have the transaction reversed. 2 minutes later I got a call from the downtown branch letting me know that the had reversed the deposit. Unfortunately, I received such rude and disinterested service there, I walked out and went directly across the street and opened my account at Mechanics Bank. The staff at Mechanics bank treated me as any new customer should be treated. We had that account for over ten years, until we closed the WA office. I'm posting this here so perhaps people will see that bad service at US Bank is systemic. BTW, when the above happened, I tried calling their Corp. HQ to let them know why they lost a good business account, but nowhere could I find a phone number for their HQ. It's as if they just don't want to be bothered with call from their pesky customers.
