I have been going to Embody Her Health since they opened and have had such an amazing experience! Not only is the office absolutely gorgeous and clean, but their staff is professional and accommodating. I have had both wellness visits with Dr. Rybak and have used their IV infusions on multiple occasions. During each visit with Dr. Rybak, I was presented with options that would address whatever my health or wellness needs were. I never felt pressure to purchase anything on the spot, I left feeling well informed and confident that I would be able to follow up after having some time to consider my options. I had a relaxing experience with the IV infusion, the room is cozy and chairs are so comfortable. I will definitely be back for more. Here's how it works at EHH: You call and make an appointment for a new patient. They tell you the lab and appt fees. Fine. You have labs drawn on week one. You review the labs with the provider on week two. Fine. A salesperson then comes in immediately after the provider leaves, and attempts to sell you a subscription into their $1,000/year club, which essentially gives you the privilege of getting your meds filled at your own pharmacy. The alternative is to pay jacked-up prices and buy your meds from the clinic. It's completely unethical to withhold pricing structure information like this to new patients , and ONLY revealing the final cost after they are already on the hook for $200 in labs and $100 clinic fees. It makes me wonder what other information they are withholding. I can't do business with a place like this. read more

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience overall with this clinic, and after wasting the last year of my life here, I certainly cannot recommend it. When I had originally inquired about this place among friends, I was warned that it was a "money grab". I didn't understand what that meant after my first visit (that I paid $200 for) because I was advised that I could do things " à la carte", so to speak, and just pay for my consultations and blood work, but get my non-compounded prescriptions through my medical provider in order to use my prescription benefits. This was obviously told to me disingenuously, in the hopes that I would eventually pay their "concierge" fee of over $1000 a year just to have my prescriptions managed through them, which I would also have to then pay an additional cost for above and beyond that concierge fee. This is absolutely absurd when I would pay $100 a month to get my progesterone through them, versus $10 a month through my regular pharmacy, or pay a $50 fee to have an estrogen patch prescription typed into a computer and sent into my regular Pharmacy. Ahhh, money grab...I see it now friends. So fast forward to a year later of getting just a few of the prescriptions through Embody, paying the consultation fees every time I had a visit, and getting the regular Pharmacy medications through my OB (and not paying extra for them, of course) and being continually disappointed with the service I was being provided. I met with Amanda, the nurse practitioner that I have since learned is not actually an HRT specialist (she was an elementary school nurse previously). I followed her recommendations only to get zero results. Each time I informed her of this , she kind of shrugged her shoulders and acted like this is just part of the process and we have to figure things out. So I hung in there but finally started advocating for myself and making suggestions of what we could try based on my own research since she seemed repeatedly perplexed, to which she just went along with, instead of digging deeper and really trying to figure out what was going on with me, or maybe putting me with a different provider with more experience or a new outlook that might have some different suggestions. So for my most recent appointment, I scheduled with the other nurse practitioner in the hopes that she would be more skilled with perimenopause, and set me on a better path, and if not, I was not planning to come back. But I now know this cavalier treatment went beyond lack of experience, but was also a result of the fact they didn't want to be bothered with me since I was not paying their excessive fees. This was made evident by the fact that they didn't even have the professionalism to send in the person I had a scheduled appointment with, or the NP that I had established a relationship with, to tell me that they would no longer service me if I wouldn't join their concierge program... They sent in one of the nurses to deliver the news to me. That speaks volumes about what they prioritize. So ultimately, if you want to pay a lot more than you have to pay to get HRT, then Embody is the place for you (and don't even get me started on the overpriced weight loss injections). Otherwise, I recommend finding a medical doctor that is truly a hormone specialist and can provide you services through your insurance, or at least allow you to reap the benefits of a prescription savings program like GoodRX, and/or allows this to be a collaborative effort with your OB or PCP so that you aren't overpaying in an effort to line their pockets. A compound pharmacy is only needed for testosterone and the estrogen cream, you can get the estrogen patch and progesterone directly through your pharmacy, and there are many online telehealth clinics that are more affordable than Embody, more experienced and compassionate at managing your care, and are happy to call those prescriptions into a pharmacy for you if you are paying the consultation fee, as it should be from ethical providers that actually care about their patients more than their bottom line. read more

I've been seeing Amanda and the gals since they opened. Amanda is the kindest and most knowledgeable NP around. She takes her time during your appointment to thoroughly go over lab work results and explains what she recommends for your goals moving forward. This is not a price gouging weight loss clinic. No pressure to buy anything from them at all. They truly care about your health and want to get women feeling better!
